Chapter 14

The human mind.What is it? really? A void between two worlds,that can so easily be broken and bent.Smashed like glass and broken like a heart or a cage,that one would hide away there deepest thoughts and secrets.Your mind was where you contained part of yourself.Jinx.She called you,appeared before you.Tempting,teasing,haunting.The need to let her take over and seek revenge on the Joker grew stronger.It was his fault Bruce dead and his fault your bore the same scar's as him as a reminder of who you were,or so Jinx told you.But you blamed yourself,knowing if you had never accepted Joker's help that night you kidnapped Barbie,none of this would have happen.Or maybe,it would have just in a different time,place and most deffiantly in a different way.Weither you were alive or dead,the world would have eventually found out that Ava Mckinley was Jinx.You were snapped from your thoughts by a hand waving infront of your face "Yup she's ok" Grumpy said.

You looked around the room and saw everione seated either on the floor,sofa on a chair.Surrounding a small television.You were seated in between The Joker and Grumpy,Harley latched onto Joker's arm like a lost puppy.The new came on your eyes widened as you saw the bodies of the people that were caught in the explosion of the resturant last night.Suddenly a face appeared on the screen,hooked up to wires and on an oxygen mask.Bruce.He was alive.You glanced at the heart monitor on the screen.He was alive,but barely.You sighed with relief,as though a heavy weight had been taken from your shoulders,you smiled slightly,thankful Bruce was still alive,no matter how he felt towards you now.Knowing he would most likely hate you meant nothing,as long as he was alive.The Joker saw the small smile on your face,he could tell what you were thinking instantly "well we'll soon change that,Bruce wont be so lucky next time" He thought.

Suddenly a reporter appeared on sceen and began his new's report "At 8:00pm last night,the le póléa róse resturant was blown up by The Joker and his new accomplies,the new villian on the scene,Jinx.Witness who survived the explosion and doctors at Arkham have provided us with information on the real identity of Jinx.Ava Mckinley daughter of millionaire Christian Mckinley,owner of Mckinley Enterprise has been confirmed as the masked criminal.Twice sent to Arkham,Miss Mckinley was diagnosed with paranoia and Schizophrenia.She is armed and very dangerous,we would advise anyone with information on her to come forward.Lt.Jim Gordan has assured us that she will be caught.As of now Ava Mckinley a.k.a Jinx, is one of Gothams most wanted.There will be a full report on Jinx tonight.Were her friends and family reveal the true story behind this mass murderer.Also-"

*smash* The television screen smashed into a million pieces.You kicked the screen repeated until the smug face of that reporter was gone.Your breathing was heavy from the anger you felt at the news media,at your family and so-called friends.at everything! They would pay,they all would pay." Boss! she just killed the only tv we have in this joint" Grumpy complained

You turned to him,your whole body shaking in fury " Shut.the.fuck.up, you grumpy ass fool,unless you want one hundred grenades shoved down your throat and all fired off at once followed by a purple rocket up your ass" You yelled.

The Joker laughed at your fury "Is this the real side of you were finally seeing Ava?" He taunted

You glared at him with pure hate " Shut up clown" You snapped before storming off to your room.

You grabbed your trench coat and wiped off your make-up.You decided you would go and buy some paint and let your anger out on your room walls,until the real fun began later when you would get the chance to crash that little report on you and ruin the true story behind this mass murderer.You laughed out loud as you looked at your appearance in your new mirror.No make-up,your scars showing,normal clothes.Sweet.You marched out of your room,past Joker and the rest." Where do you think your going?" The Joker yelled

"Out!" You screamed before slamming the door shut behind you.It swung on its hinges before falling off completely.

The Joker sighed in frustration "Ugh! and people say I'm crazy.Grumpy,Trek,Skid. Fix the door" You ordered.

"Arent you gonna go after her puddin?" Harley asked The Joker

"No,she'll be back" He said with a smirk.

Meanwhile, you were rushing through the streets of Gotham in search of an art shop.You found one and stormed into the shop.The shopkeeper looked up at you,she relised who you were and opened her mouth to scream " Dont bother girly. I aint gonna hurt you, I just want some red and green paint" You snapped

She shakily turned away and grabbed two tins of red and green painted before placing them nervously on the counter " How much?" You muttered

"Huh? your not gonna steal them?" She said quietly confused

"Do you want me to steal them?" You hissed

" No! that's $30" She said hurridly

You slammed the money on the counter and ran out of the shop,paint cans in hand.You managed to get back to the warehouse without any problems.To be honest you knew that if anyone tried to stop you they wouldnt be going home with all there limbs in tact.Anger pulsed through your whole body,never before had you felt the need to let Jinx out and show the world how evil you could really be.You stormed into the warehouse and snapped at everione " I'll be in my room"

"Whats with the paint cans?" You heard Trek say.

Slamming your room door shut,you pulled the closet,desk and bed away from the walls.Yanking open the paint cans,you suddenly relised you didnt have a paint brush."Paint brush! I need a paint brush!!!" You screamed,running out of your room.

"Hurry up,Get off your ass's and get me a paint brush" You shouted at Trek,Skid and Grumpy.

They rushed up and ran around the warehouse looking for a paintbrush.Finally Skid came back and handed you a large paint brush " Its about time! Thanks" You snapped before retreating back to your room.

"Is she always like this when she gets mad?" You heard Trek say quietly

" You havent seen anything yet!" You shouted back to him.

They heard a loud thud of your room door being shut,then there was an awkward silence,strangely though The Joker had a smirk on his face.

SPLAT

Green painted covered the first wall of your room,splattering your face with paint.You pressed the brush againest the wall and began doing long strokes up and down the wall.When you had finished painting one wall green you procceded to paint another wall red,then green,then red again with each wall your anger slowly fading.Until you felt happy at your work.Pushing your closet againest a green wall,with what red paint you had left you painted the closet green.Then painted your desk red.Soon everythin exept your bed ( which had red and green striped sheets on) was painted green and red.The floor was a dark green and you were tempted to paint the carpet but that would just be strange even by your standards.So you decided to have some fun with the remaining paint.You walked past everione who was still sat talking and playing cards,there eyes following you as you stood by the door,covered in paint.You smirk and screamed " Harley! Harley come quick look!"

She raced over and looked outside " I dont see nuthin'" She said but finished with a shock scream as you pushed her outside.

Quickily you placed the two paint cans above the door and opened it slightily.She pushed the door open with an angry look on her face only to be replaced by a good dose of red and green paint all over her body.She screamed in frustration and lunged for you only to slip on the puddle of paint on the floor.You stepped back and admired your work.You burst into insane laughter as Harley glared at you " You have a little paint on you Harl" You mocked clutching your stomache,it hurt from the laughter.

Joker and his henchmen laughed at what you had done.But Harley didnt look so amused " MISTA J!!! look what she did!" She wined

He didnt reply just continued laughing.Pleased with yourself you headed off for a shower.Finally stepping into the shower,you were relaxed and kind of excited about the fun you would have tonight.Your thoughts drifted to your friends.Lucy.Brittany and Ace.Ace was your best friend,she knew about your past but never knew you were Jinx.You wondered how she would have reacted when she found out and what she would say tonight."Guess where gonna find out" You thought happily washing your hair,watching the painted go down the drain.Stepping out of the shower,you felt completely fine,no longer wishing to brutally murder everything in your sight.You skipped across the half in your towel and went into your room.You picked out your undergarments and cloths for tonight.Half red,half green skinny jeans,matching converse and corset.You blow dried your hair and straightened it.About to put your make-up on you stopped and saw Jinx standing next to you." What do you want now?" You snapped

" Look at what he's done to your pretty face" Jinx whispered.She circled you like a predator stalking its pray " I told you....kill him before he kills you." she said referring to the Joker.

"Shut up Jinx....Everything is perfect now I dont need you.I'll never let you out again" You said calmly

"Oh but you see, you did let me out again.Want to you know I escaped that damn mirror?" She asked

You nodded curiously, she laughed slightly and said " It was because you grew weaker Ava, you grew..feelings for him"

"Who?" You asked confused

"Oh come on Ava isnt it obvious?" She yelled

"Bruce.." You said sadly

Jinx laughed maniacly " No! Not Bruce Ava.The Joker..."

Your heart pounded,she was right.You cared for that murdering clown just as much as you cared for Bruce.You sighed sadly..or was it happily? you could never tell these days."Kill him Ava...he's made you weak..Kill him before he kills you" She whispered in your ear before fading away. she was gone...for now.

You applied your makeup and peared at the time on your cell phone.That stupid report about you would be starting soon."Can we go now?" You wined excitedly when you saw The Joker and five of his henchmen standing by the door."Feeling better?" The Joker asked grinning slightly

"Yep.Come on!! I wanna go see my friends!" You complained jumping up and down on the spot

"Jesus your like a child" The Joker moaned before walking out of the warehouse with his henchmen

"Wheres Harley?" You asked with a cruel laugh

"Washing that paint off" Grumpy snapped

"Hahahaha oopies" You said inncocently

Everione hopped into the van and off you all were, to Gotham new station."Joker...." You said sweetly

He looked at you and snapped " What?"

You smiled sweetly and said " Pleeasseee if I ask nicely can one of my friends join the team?"

He raised an eyebrow at you " What makes you think anyone of them will want to acciocate with you now they know about all this?"

You laughed and patt him on the back " Lets just say you have never met my best friend Ace"

"Alright..but what do I get in return?" he said evily

You rolled your eyes and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek " Happy?" You asked inncocently

"No" He said clearly disapointed

You laughed but seeced when the van stopped abruptly throwing you into The Joker " Cant keep your hands off me" He teased

You pushed yourself off him and gave him a disgusted look " eew, dont make me puke"

He pouted fakely and pushed you out of the van.You pulled your knife out of your pocket and held it tightly as his henchmen threw the doors of the new station open guns blazing.You jumped excitedly as you saw your friends and parents sitting on a sofa talking to that annoying reporter behind a desk.They all turned and stared wide eyes at you and The Joker entering the building together." Lucy! Brittany! Ace!" You cried

Ace's face lit up,she jumped up as you ran over to her and hugged you tightly " Why didnt you tell me?" She cried a great smile on her face." Sorry, I just... didnt know how you would react" You said shamefully

She hugged you tightly again.Lucy and Brittany watch in shock and disgust.The camera was pointed at you and Ace hugging.Joker's men picked up Brittany,Lucy and your parents and held them tightly so they couldnt get away "What do you think you are doing?"The reporter yelled standing up from his seat behind his desk.

One of the Joker's masked clowns came up behind him and grabbed him "What Mister? I only came to see my family and friends" You said pouting.

"Soo...ladies and Gentlman" The Joker said point his gun at each of your friends and your parents

"What is the true story behind my little Jinxy?" He said

None of them answered " Lucy..Now you know my secret what do you think of me?" You asked with a smile

She looked up at you with fear burning in her eyes " Lucy, it's me Ava, im not gonna hurt you silly" You said ruffling her hair

"Ava.. why are you working with The Joker? this isnt you.Please dont hurt us" She pleaded

"Why would I do that?" You asked curious as to why she would think that

"Because.Because your like him! your...your a-" She cried

" A freak! is that it?" You shouted

She looked away from you.You looked at the Joker " You know, its very hurtful when people wont look at you" you said

He nodded,his expression was like no-shit-sherlock.You turned to Brittany " And you?" You snarled

"Ava you crazy bitch! How could you! I hate you.I cant believe ever hung out with a freak like you" She screamed

You grabbed her neck and held your knife tightly againest her throat." Is that what you think? eh? do ya? that little Ava is crazy? I'll show you fuckin' crazy!" You yelled at her before hitting her and drawing blood from her neck with your knife.She screamed in pain.

You drew back and step aside as the Joker approached them, licking his lips as usual" Well hello ladies"

You turned away,there screams ringing through the building.Ace looked at you with sad eyes " Im sorry Ace" You said

"Ava, its ok! I dont hate you. infact i..ugh..wanted to ask you something" She said nervously

" what?" You asked

" Can I join your team? I really missed you Ava, its been no fun without you and well working with the Joker seems kinda cool" She said

See! thats why Ace is your best friend,she always understood that you had a...strange side shall we say even though she didnt know what or exactly how strange.Even now she stuck by you no matter what and was even willing to join the team.She even WANTED to! You hugged her happily " Ace, your the best.Of course you can! ooooh this is gonna be so much fun!" You squeeled excitedly

"Hey boss!" You yelled motioning for the Joker to come over here.

He walked over whilst putting his bloody switchblade away, you put your arm around Ace " Joker, meet Ace,Ace,meet The Joker" You said

She gave him a slight wave and said quietly " Hey"

"I've gotta say Jinxy, you've shocked me.When you said you knew of one of your..ugh so called friends who would like to join our team, i didnt think you were serious" he said

" So she can stay with me?" You asked happily

He nodded, you and Ace squeeled happily and jumped up and down like school kids again."Thank you Thank you!!" You repeated

"Come with me Jinxy" He said grabbing your arm and pulling you over to the news reporter.

You saw the bodies of Lucy and Brittany laying in a bloodied heap on the sofa, your parents looking on at you in fear and disgust " Are you proud of me now Daddy!?!" You screamed

"Am I good enough now Mother?"

They glared at you and your mother spat " Your no daughter of ours"

You sigh and turned to the news reporter pouting as The Joker spoke to the camera, which was still filming everything " Awww, see what you people have done. You have upset my little Jinxy. Something must be done about this.So..were gonna play a little game"

"Were gonna play hide and seek.Batman has 1 hour to find hostage 1) Jinxy daddy. Hostage 2) Jinxys mummy. Hostage 3) This reporter guy,if Batman doesnt find them within the hour, they die.Feelin' better Jinxy?" the Joker said

You nodded and stuck your tongue out at the camera, before turning to your parents and shouting " How do ya like me now?!?!"

The Joker laughed loudly, your laughter followed before the camera stopped filming.All of Gotham would me watching this within seconds including the Batman.Let the game begin.
