Our Love is Evergreen (Sequel to Angels in Hell) Chapter One Where could she be?!
Chapter 11 : Our Love is Evergreen (Chapter 11 Vampire Poison)
Hey! Enjoy or LEAVE!!
“Nick!” I yelled out, seeing all of my friends in the doorway, all holding guns pointed at Laretta and Leo. Tia was a bird, fluttering about the room.
“Put your hands on your head and don’t move!” Joe yelled, holding his gun closer to Leo. Leo slowly and hesitantly put his hands on his head. Laretta, however, had other plans. She dramatically put her hands on her head and said hysterically, “You can’t prove we did anything to Maple or Teren!” Teren’s name brought Maple back to the limp weight in her lap. She looked down at Teren and small tears started to fall. Jessie pushed past her friends and ran towards us. Joe followed her slowly, threatening both villains that if they touched her, they would have to go through him.
“Where is the key?!” Jessie cried out when she saw that there was a lock on the cage. I pointed quickly at the silver key that had caused me misery in the past. Jessie grabbed it and jiggled the key incorrectly into the lock for a while. Within seconds, Jessie found a way to open the lock and she opened the top of the cage. I held Teren in my arms while Jessie touched his face, closing her eyes. Her eyes flashed open immediately and she looked frightened.
“The poison is entering his veins! This is poison to vampires, not to humans! Quick! Where is the antidote?!” She yelled at Laretta and she looked innocently at her and shrugged.
Then Jessie did something unforgettable. Jessie slapped Laretta so hard, the crack echoed within the room. Everyone gasped and I saw Joe force a smile down. Laretta didn’t move and she smirked.
“You’re mind reader can’t find my mind. You all are weak! You can’t read lynch minds!” She cackled evilly and Jessie punched her in the nose. Laretta screamed and held her bleeding nose.
“Connor! I have an idea!” Connor, looking dazed at Jessie’s strength, jerked out of his confusion and looked over at me. He ran over to me between the fight between Jessie and Laretta and listened to my whispers. “Maybe you can read her mind while she’s sleeping! She could have some medicine that stops her from sleeping! Just knock her unconscious and she might tell us where the antidote is!” He nodded and ran over to the fight.
Jessie kept her busy while Connor hesitantly held a glass lamp over Laretta’s head.
“What if I’m too weak?” Connor called out to me and I smiled to him.
“You’re not weak!” I yelled to him and he hit Laretta over the head. She slumped towards the ground, but Connor and Jessie grabbed her before she hit. Connor closed his eyes and listened to her thoughts. Sierra looked lost but then she looked at the body of Lynda. She grabbed her underneath the arms and dragged her towards the center of attention. Sierra listened to her thoughts while Lynda was unconscious as well.
“Jessica, the antidote is in the third cabinet over there! It’s blue liquid and has a green cap!” Jessie ran without a second thought to the cabinet and opened it up. She grabbed the right cap and ran to Teren.
“This is going to sting so we have to hold him down!” Connor called out. Joe and Nick ran with Connor over to the cage and grabbed Teren down while I held his head in my lap. Jessie handed me the bottle and I opened his mouth. I poured the horrid smelling liquid into Teren’s mouth and he tried to spit it out, but I shut his mouth, cradling his head in my hands. He thrust out, trying to attack, to stop the liquid from burning. When Nick wasn’t paying attention, he loosened his arm and wacked me on the head and my arms.
“Grab him, Nick!” Joe yelled out and Nick grabbed the hand again. I was hurt, but I didn’t care. All I cared about was Teren at the moment. I looked at Sierra to see that she was pointing her gun at Leo, threatening him to run. He didn’t dare move. Lynda and Laretta were still unconscious, but Sierra kept glancing at them nervously. A yell from Teren pulled my attention back to him.
He was regaining conscious slowly. Teren was opening his eyes and he looked up at me.
“Maple…” he said and I smiled to him.
“Yes, I’m here.”
