Joe: “I agree, I’ve heard the strawberries yelling my name for an hour.” I laughed and we walked down the street about three stores and got to a smoothie place. We walked in and there was only two other people there and they were on lap tops and cell phones. I laughed a bit. We looked around the small store and we walked slowly in a mob to the register. First it was kevin.

Kevin: “hello I would like a strawberry and banana smoothie please.” The lady at the register pressed some buttons. Kevin turned around and looked at us. “can we use the cards? This is random.” We shrugged and he handed her the card. The lady took it and she scanned it. She handed it back to him and smiled.

“it’ll be right out.” She walked away and over to a machine that started making noise. I started to chuckle because it was dead silent and then all of a sudden there was a huge roar. The guys laughed a little too. the machine stopped and the lady walked over and put kevins drink on the counter. “here you go. Next?” kevin grabbed it and went over to where the convers are and put one on. Kyle was next. “what can I get ya?”

“I would like a water mellon smoothie please.” Kyle pulled his look that makes girls blush and she did.

“three twenty nine.” She smirked as her cheeks got redder. Kyle handed her the card and she swipped it. It beeped and she handed it back to him “be right back” she turned around slowly and she tried not to make eye contact. The machine roared again and I chuckled. nick laughed again.

Nick: “is that funny?” I looked at him and nodded as I stopped laughing.

“mmhmm” he smiled and looked at me for about two more seconds and I started to blush, I blush easily. He turned around and faced the counter again. I chuckled again as the machine turned off and it was silent again. This is great.

“here you go” kyle winked at her and went and sat by kevin. she looked down and smiled and joe was next. “what can I get you?”

Joe: “I would like a strawberry smoothie pretty please” he got out his card and waited.

“three seventeen please. Alright.” She took the card and it beeped and then she gave it back. “coming right up.” The machine started up yet again and yet again I laughed. Nick looked at me and smiled and shook his head.

“im sorry. This is just a bit funny to me right now.” He nodded and smiled again.

Nick: “I could understand why this would be funny”

“really?”

Nick: “not really.” I hit his arm and laughed a bit. He chuckled, I don’t if it was at my girly hitting skills or what he said. I have no idea, I just really want to either take a nap or run up and down the side walk. I hate cramps. Joe got his drink and he grabbed a lid and sat by kyle and kevin. next it was nick. He grabbed my hand and pulled me up with him. “what do you want?” is he going to ‘pay’ for mine even though we arent paying for it? I looked at him with a puzzled look on my face and he just looked at me waiting.

“uh-um- a strawbery smoothie?” I got a little nervous, I don’t know why. He still had my hand in his. He nodded and looked at the lady who was looking at us.

Nick: “two strawberry smoothies please.” He handed her his card and she swhipped it and it beeped.

“alright coming right up.” She smiled as she turned and started up the machine again. I tried my best not to laugh and I looked up at nick, who still hadnt let go of my hand yet, not that I wanted him to.

Nick: “not funny anymore?” I shook my head.

“yea it is, im just not going to laugh.” He looked at me with a straight face and I couldn’t not laugh anymore. “hahahahahahahaha” I looked down and shook my head.

Nick: “haha wow.” The machine turned off and the lady put our drinks on the counter. I went to grab one but nick let go of my hand and took both of them, he had his bags and the two drinks show off. I paused and looked at him in comfusion. I walked over and grabbed two lids and two straws. I pulled another chair up for me to sit down at the tiny table they were at.

“you know what, I got like no sleep last night so do not even wow at me.” I handed nick a straw and a lid and he set my drink down in front of me. He nodded and I could tell he was being sarcastic too.

Nick: “of course, I would never.” I cocked and eye brow and then rolled my eyes.

Joe: “didn’t I tell you she was fistey?” he pointed at me and then pulled his sleeve up and raised his eye brows at nick. Nick nodded and looked at me as he took a sip of his drink. I stuck my tounge out at joe and leaned forward and took a sip of my drink.

Kevin: “so how was shopping?” he said it like micky would and we laughed.

Joe: “oh. Excellent kevin. do you work out?” joe felt kevins arm and acted shocked. We laughed some more.

Kevin: “yes actualy.” He acted like hercules and we laughed again. I took another drink of my smoothie.

Joe: “where did you learn to flex like that?” joe acted shocked again and then he felt kevins arms. I chuckled, we are so mean. Kyle giggled like micky and we all lost it. We all tried to immatate him but kyle was the best at it. We sat there laughing at it and making jokes about micky for the next fifteen minutes.

Nick: “wo! Brain freeze!” nick set down his cup and clutched his head. I chuckled a bit and kyle kevin and joe started laughing. I rubbed nicks head. He put his hands down and took a deep breath. We laughed a little bit more and he shook his head and picked up his drink again. I laughed.

Joe: “so you pick up your smoothie again. Alright.” We laughed more and sat there for five more minutes. I took the last sip of my smoothie and grabbed nick and kyle’s empty cups and got up to throw them away. I sat back down and looked at my cell phone. It was 2:26.

“hmm.” I took a deep breath. “we have four minutes before we have to get on the happy bus with our gay driver.” The guys chuckled.

Kevin: “should we get going then?” we slowly stood up and kevin and joe threw away their cups. We walked out of the smoothie place in a mob, like we came in, and walked toward where the bus was. About three seconds later we heard thunder and it started to sprinkle. I jumped. “wo there laur.” Kevin looked back at me, we were in our two lines again. I smiled weakly. I always get jumpy(er) when I have my period. We took five more steps and it started to rain harder and get windy. I ran under the awning of a store and nick followed. Kyle kevin and joe just kept walking.

Nick: “ugh” he shook his head like a wet dog and so did i.

“ready?” he nodded and we ran to the next awning about two stores down. Every one had umbrellas or went into a store. We got to a corner after about three awnings and we were stopped for a few seconds. I stepped forward because the rain lightened up and I turned to look at nick who was still under the awning. I smiled and put my arms out. “its stopping” he had his hands in his pockets and he looked at the sky. As soon as I stopped talking a car drove by really fast through a puddle right behind me. Yup, I got soaked. I gasped really loud and the guys started laughing. “wo that’s cold!” I did a weird jump thing and I turned around. It started to rain harder again. By then I was already wet to I didn’t care. The walking thing told us to walk so we did and nick ran across right past us and stood under the awning. “run forest!” he kept running. And just waved as he looked over his shoulder. He stopped about two stores down and waited for us to keep up with him. I was wet, and moody, and crampy, and wet, and tired, and wet. What a great day. Nick ran under a thinner awning and as soon as he got under it, it broke. All the water fell ontop of him and we laughed. He stood there for a bit and then as we passed he joind us and stood next to me. We were two stores away from the bus and we have a minute to get there. I hope we make it, not really. me and nick were both soaked and kyle, kevin and joe wre just kind of wet. We stopped in front of the bus and micky was reading and didn’t notice us. Kevin started bangin on the door but he had his music on, we could hear it outside. Kyle joined in on the knocking and I started to spin around. I stopped and joe was doing it too, nick was looking at me funny. “jelous?”

Nick: “of what you are mine” I smiled and I blushed but he didn’t see because of the rain. I started to spin around again and I slipped in a puddle. As soon as I hit the ground micky opened the door. I landed in a huge puddle.

“cheese cake!” I yelled as I fell throught the air and landed with a splash. Joe stopped and nick covered his mouth.

“goodness, laura, I think you should take some balance classes.” I picked my head up and every one was getting onto the bus. Nick waited for me and I slowly stood up. I walked over and nick got on after me. I was dripping wet and my hair probably looked horrible. I sat down in the same spot I was in on the way here and nick sat next to me. “alright so you don’t have to show me your clothes, I just wanted to make sure you put thought into what you picked.” He giggled and sat back down. “okay next stop, bus lot!” he clapped his hands together once and started the bus. It started raining harder and kevin and kyle were in an intense conversation and joe was texting. Probably katharine. She’s pretty cool, when we get back I need to give her that candy bar. About three minutes into the ride I over at nick. I smiled and so did he.

Nick: “what?”

“nothing.” I looked out the window and he put his chin on m shoulder, looking out the window too. we sat like that making random comments about people on the side walks for the next fifteen minutes. I don’t know what I did to deserve him, or this whole deal. Or my dad dieing. I miss him even though I wouldt be able to see him right now anyway. I took a deep breath.

Nick: “thinking about your dad?” how did he know?

“how do you know?” I looked straight ahead at the back of the seat in front of us and I felt his eyes burning holes into the side of my face.

Nick: “I just do. Do you want to talk about it?”

“im fine.”

Nick: “not until you talk about it.” He titled his head. “come on, im waiting.” He picked up his head as I turned and looked at him. I felt a bunch of pain and hurt suddenly rush up to my face waiting to come out of my mouth. My eyes got a little watery and nick had the most caring look on his face. He was searching my expression for an answer. I looked at him, not letting one tear stream down my face. About two seconds of silence went by and I looked down breaking the gaze.

“its nothing.” I sat back and face forward and nick sat there. His face dropped. He put his arm around my shoulders and I slid closer to him. I was getting kind of cold. I was also shaking but that’s because I almost spilled my guts. I laid my head on his shoulder and he put hi on top of mine.

Nick: “you can tell me when your ready. I’ll still be here.” I almost melted. I took a deep breath and he picked up his head. I looked up and quickly gave him a kiss on the cheek. I started blushing so I put my head back on his shoulder and he rested his head back on mine. And its only 2:47 p.m.
