An Alchemist's Story

Last time: Ed whispered something to Al, and Al nodded. They stood back-to-back and clapped their hands together. Ed made a canon facing Twilight, Roy, and Riza. Al made a canon facing Breda, Havoc, Falman, and Fuery. When the canons fired, everyone was able to dodge it, so no one got hurt. When the smoke cleared, me, Libby, Ed, Al, Emmi, and Ira were gone.

Mustang looked to his right and saw us running. "Twilight," He mumbled. "Yes sir?" She asked. "Follow them,"

"I think that Emmi and Al like eachother, and so do Ed and Ira," I explained. "Oh," Libby said. Then she smiled. "How sweet."

The next morning we got ready to go. "Kristi," Ed said to me. I looked over at him. "Yeah?" I asked. "I need to talk to you," He said. "Okay... what about?" I asked.

Ed sighed and sat down next to me. He looked around to make sure no one was listening in. Little did he know Twilight was spying on them. "I wanted to talk to you about... the time we were back at your house, and all that stuff happened...?" "Oh..." I mumbled. "Yeah..."

"Back then you said after that incident you couldn't stop thinking about me," He said, blushing. "Oh that," I mumbled. "Yeah, so do you still feel that way?" He asked. I smiled and kind of laughed. "I'll admit it Ed, I had a crush on you," Ed began to blush more. "But you're jsut my friend," I looked at him. "Why? Do you..."

"Oh!" ed exclaimed. "No! You're just a friend! I just wanted to make sure-" "That's okay!" I stopped him. "I already know you like Ira anyway!" Ed put his hand over my mouth and quickly looked around. He took his hand off and leaned in closer. "How did you know that?" He whispered.

I smiled. "Girls know these things," I told him, ruffling his hair. He glared at me annoyed. Ira walked over to us. "Uh guys, Al suggested we get going," She said. Ed jumped up and began to blush. "Yeah, yeah... we should get going." He walked past Ira. Ira turned to me.

"So..." she started. "What were you guys talking about?" I motioned for her to come closer. She leaned down. "He digs you," I whispered. She began to suprised. "Wh-what?" She asked. I smiled and stood up. I nodded. "He's REALLY likes you," I told her. I walked off, she stood there for a few moments, trying to make sense out of what I just said, then eventully shaking her head and running to catch up with us.

I led the group at the front, Libby a little bit behind me, Ed and Ira following, with Al standing next to Ed. Emmi was in the very back watching Al. Ed looked over at Ira walking beside him. He sighed and grabbed her hand. She blsuhed and looked at him, but his head was turned in the opposite direction. She decided to just enjoy it while it lasted.

Al noticed what Ed had done, then he looked back at Emmi. It took Emmi a few moments to realize Al had looked at her, and as soon as she did, she quickly looked away. Al walked back to her. He walked by her for a few minutes, then eventully held out his hand. Emmi looked at it then looked up at Al. Al smiled at her. She smiled and put her hand in his.

They walked for a little while longer, until they came to Twilight. She was standing in the middle of the road with a gun pointed twoards us. "You need to come back to Central," She said. Ira stood in front of us all. "Why can't you just leave Ed alone?" She asked.

Ed ran up to her. "What do you think you're doing?" he asked. "I'm not going to let her hurt you," Ira told him.

Ed got in front of Ira and put his right hand on the gun. Twilight got startled and fired the gun. The bullet richotched off Ed's hand and shot Twilight instead. Twilight fell to the ground. Ed stared at her in disbelief. "I-I'm sorry," He whispered, as he began to run off. "Ed!" Ira exclaimed. Al ran after him, followed by Ira and the rest of us.
