Doll Face, Glass Heart
Chapter 10 : Doll Face, Glass Heart {::9::} The Wedding and a Deal
FUN FACT: I just found out the name Rupin is Indian for handsome! Cool, eh? I also really like Flaw because he's just so pitiful! ;-; I might give him a story of his own.

Winter Remedy
My pupils widened, giving me eyes like a hungry shark as soon as I smelled the blood. Someone was covered in a lot of blood.
Rupin appeared and I noticed it was him. He was soaking in blood that wasn't his. Suddenly my head hurt. Even though I was half vampire, I didn't rely on blood as a source of life. But sometimes I smelled it and got this weird feeling like a mix between hunger, anger, and pain.
I held my head and Rupin stepped forward, causing the scent to become stronger.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
I opened my mouth to speak but ended up coughing uncontrollably.
"V-Vampire." I managed to say between coughs.
"Oh, yeah." He said, stepping back again. "Sorry, I'll be back."
After a few minutes he came back, completely clean of blood.
"We need to leave." He said. "I want you to come with me."
"Okay." I said.
I took my trunk and pulled a few sets of clothes from them. I couldn't fit in too many anymore because of my growing stomach. I stuffed them into my backpack and slung it over my shoulder.
He picked me up and jumped out of the window, over the wall, and into the forest.
We arrived at the treehouse and Rupin pryed the little door open. We went inside and noticed that we weren't alone. The man from my room was there, the one with the weird arm coming out of his back.
"Flaw?" Rupin said. "What are you doing here?"
How sad, his name was Flaw. I wondered if it was a cruel nickname because of the third arm, or his mother gave him that name for the same cruel reason.
"I came to offer you some assitance, my dear friend." He said.
"Why would you do that?" Rupin asked. "When I told you I was leaving you said I was betraying my people."
"Yes, but I began to wonder." He said. "Then I visited the girl and found out why. She let me leave even though I killed her queen. She should hate us, but she doesn't. So, I came to help."
"In what way?" Rupin asked.
"I think I know someone who can marry you two." He said.
My heart skipped a beat. Finally married to Rupin? After all this waiting? My heart swelled with excitement.
"What's the catch?" Rupin asked. My heart deflated.
"I get to be Uncle Flaw to your kid." Flaw smiled. My heart inflated again.
"Deal!" I said quickly.
"Why would you want that?" Rupin asked, his eyes narrowed.
"Because I'll never have children of my own with this." Flaw said, waving the third arm. "What woman would be attracted to that? And I have no siblings, and other children are afraid of me. So maybe if your child grow up with me around he won't be scared of me."
"Deal!" I said again, and I had to supress an "aww" as Flaw told his story.
"Now, who is it?" Rupin demanded.
"Roger." Flaw replied.
"Isn't he blind?" Rupin asked.
"Yeah, so he can't tell he's marrying you to a nymph girl." Flaw smiled.

"Winter, Do you take Rupin to be your husband?" The old man called Roger asked.
"I do." I replied.
"And Rupin, do you take Winter to be your wife?" Roger asked, turning the wrong way as he tried to face Rupin.
"I do." Rupin said.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife." Roger said, pointing his finger at where he thought Rupin was. "Now kiss your wife and leave me alone."
Rupin kissed me exactly the same way he did the very first time we kissed. It would've been more romantic is Roger would've stopped saying "leave me alone" and "Your wasting my time" during the wedding, but I was happy because I was finally married to Rupin.
"I love you." Rupin said for the millionth time, as he buried his face in my hair.
"I love you too." I replied sleepily.
We lay in our bed in the treehouse.
"I love you." Rupin said to my stomach, which was growing quickly.
I left something jump inside of me and I gasped.
"What?" Rupin asked. "Are you okay?"
"I think she loves you too." I replied.
"She?" Rupin asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Yes, I think it's a girl." I said, patting my stomach.
"Well, what if I think it's a boy?" Rupin asked, smiling playfully.
"Then you're wrong." I giggled.
"But I'm never wrong." Rupin said.
"Oh, I'm sure you've been wrong a few times."
"Not once."
"You're wrong about this."
"How do you know?"
"Because I know."
"But how?"
"It's inside of me. But there is one thing I'm not sure of."
"What?"
"How many there are."
His face because serious. "What do you mean?"
"Well, there may be more than one. I have triplets in my family, and I'm not sure whether that means I can have twins or not. It may be two, or three. Hell, maybe even four!" I admit, I was teasing him. I wondered what he would say about it.
His face grew worried and I smiled.
"But don't worry." I said. "I think it's just one. If it was more I'd probably bea lot bigger."
"Oh." He looked relieved. "Okay."
"But I'll make you a deal." I said. He looked up. "If it's a girl, I get to name it. If it's a boy, you can. Deal?"
"Deal." He said. We shook hands and the baby kicked again.
