"Grrrr. I hate getting auto-mail." Ed Whined. Kat, Armstrong and Alphonse sat on the couch, Watching Pinako and Winry preparing to put on Ed's auto-mail.
"Maybe next time thing tWice before breaking your auto-mail." Kat said crossing her legs and folding her arms over her head. Ed Whined as Winry and Pinako continued.
"Ahhh. I remember it like it vas yesterday that I got my auto-mail fixed. The sun Was shining and Mustang Was being a dick and ruined my visit to my hometoWn." Kat said. Ed gave her the shut-the-hell-up-look. Kat just laughed.
"Okay. Ready?" Winry asked.
"One."
"TWo."
"THREE!" The turn the sWitches and Ed's nerves Were connected to the auto-mail. He screamed in pain and he Was knocked out cold.
"Move, We're going to ay him on the couch!" said Pinako. Kat got up and Armstrong picked up Al and moved him. Winry and Pinako laid unconscious Ed on the couch. Kat stared at him, blankly.
'So this is What hapen after auto-mail get connected to the person. I thought I just passed out from being scared.' Kat thought. She sighed and Walked outside and sat against the Wall next to the porch. She stared out into the open country-side. She thought her hometoWn, her friends, her neighbors, the lake, her brother and her home. She missed Quinns but she kneW she couldn't return unless if she needs more auto-mail or it Was an emergency. Tears formed into her eyes as thought that she vas going to die pretty soon.
"Can you set me doWn, Major?" said Al as he and Armstrong came out and Were right in front of her. Armstrong sat Al next toher and Walked aWay, knoWing that Al Wanted to talk toher alone.
"Nii-san is very Worried about you." Al said. Kat looked at him, confused. But that look faded aWay and Was replaced With a smile.
"He's like my brother, Ashter. Ashter Would aWay Worry about me and my little brother." Kat said looking back out of the opened country.
"I can't Wait until We find the Philosopher' Stone together." Kat softly. Al gasped and his gloWing eyes greW bigger.
"You're looking for the stone too?" he asked.
"I lost my arm and foot in the a Human Transmutation." Kat said.
"So you too." Kat nodded.
"Both me and my brother tried to bring back our brother. But we failed." Kat said softly and sadly.
"I'll try and get Mustang to let us work together and find the stone together." said Kat. Al stared out in the country, like Kat was doing.
"How did you know that I was a soul attachment?" Al asked. Kat lowered her head and her bangs covered her eyes. She grinned.
"Because how can a suit of armor talk? How can it?" Kat said. Al chuckled.
"Kat? Tell me about your life beofre the military?" Al asked. Kat knew he was going to ask. He was a curious but very kind.
"Me and my brother lived in Quinns all our lives. My brother, Ashter, was like our father. He raied us after our mother died and my father left and comitted suicide. when we found Ashter dead. It tore me and Aaron apart. we trained with alchemy and we tried to brong him back. But we failed. I lost my limbs and my brother." Kat said softly. Al gasped.
"I'm sorry I asked." Al said. Kat chuckled.
"Don't worry. Its perfectly fine. Me and my brother's life is like yours. I lost someone, you've lost someone. I lost limbs, Ed' lost limbs. we even got a obessed mechanic. But I bet winry is not in love with Ed, isn't she?" Kat said. She got up and stretched.
"Hey, Kat. You got a call." said winry running out to Kat. Kat looked at her.
"who?" Kat asked.
"A guy name "Josh"? winry said. Kat's eyes widened in horror. Josh! Josh Cross from Mannings? Kat ran into the house and ran to the phone.
"Hello?" Kat said as soon she picked the phone.
"Katherine Jason. This is Josh." said a shakey voice from the attractive guy from Mannings.
"Yes, How did you know where I was?" Kat asked.
"Mustang told me. He gave me the number." Josh said. "I........I need your help." Kat listened carefully to Josh's story.
"My father.......I found his bone lying in his room. The deaths of the villagers have increased and there are these..........these.........these people in Mannings. They're called Humonculi (sp?)." Josh began. Kat eyes widened in horror as she gasped.
"Artifical humans?" Kat breathed.
"One was a woman, who can extend her nailed into daggers. A fat man who can eat through anything. A man who can transform into anyone. And another who can copy others abilities." said Josh. Kat couldn't breath anymore. Her voice caught in the words that were spoken to her.
"Are you out of the village?" Kat asked.
"Yes, I'm in Central with the villagers that survived." Josh said. The shadow that covered her eyes.

"Josh I'm sorry about the way I acted in Mannings." Kat said automaticly.

"You were right. Everything you said was right and I understand. I got to go okay." Josh said.
"Okay. Bye." Kat said. She set the phone down and turned to see winry at the door way.
"was that your boyfriend?" winry cooed. Kat turned red.
"N-no. That was someone I met on a mission." Kat said. winry looked at her.
"I still can't believe you're the infamous Katherine Jason that Justin talked about all the time." winry said. Kat smiled toothly.
"well, I am. I'm the Silver Flame Alchemist." Kat said pointing to her chest.
