You sat with your arms crossed as Gojyo complained about you beating him to within an inch of his life. Goku however couldn’t stop laughing about it. You looked ahead of you, watching Hakkai and Sanzo. Slowly, you watched as Sanzo’s face grew more and more annoyed, but before hit could blow up you decided to save the idiot brigade sitting with you.
“Gojyo, Goku?” You said sweetly, “You might want to shut up, before I’m forced to actually shoot you.” You smiled, on hand on the hilt of your gun. They froze, and you shot a look at Sanzo, who glanced back at you. At least he wouldn’t be wasting his bullets.
It was silent for a while and you had almost fallen asleep when Goku asked, “How long until we can eat? I’m hungry.”
You grinned, eyes still shut, “You’re always hungry, Goku.”
Hakkai chuckled, “He is a growing boy, Mother.”
You smiled, “Yes, but Father, he’s going to eat us out of house and home.” Both you and Hakkai laughed as Gojyo sat in the back seat, his eye twitching.
“That’s creepy.” He muttered.
“You’re just jealous.” You grinned.
“How come Hakkai gets to be Father?” Goku asked.
You shrugged, “Because he’s Hakkai.”
“But I don’t want to be your son, that’d just be weird.”
“Uh…” you stammered.
Gojyo grabbed Goku in a head lock, “Stop saying weird things you lil’ freak!”
“Le’me go Hentai Kappa!!” Goku shouted back, fanning the fire. After about a minute, Sanzo ended the fight with a shot.
Finally, not long after the sun had set, Hakkai pulled the jeep in front of an inn and the five of you walked inside.
You sat down at a table with Hakkai, Goku and Gojyo as Sanzo went to get the rooms. A young girl with long black braids walked up, “Can I get you anything?” She asked, smiling kindly.
“Yeah!” You and Goku nearly shouted. The guys looked at you, usually, it was only Goku who was so enthusiastic about food. You didn’t notice. “I would like the pot stickers and pork buns please.” The woman smiled and took your order; Sanzo walked over, sat down beside you and placed his order too. The waitress walked away with a fake grin, trying not to seem annoyed at the amount of food she’d have to bring your table.
“So why are you so hungry all of a sudden?” Gojyo asked you, you shrugged.
“Just am. At least I’m not as bad as Goku.” You grinned as Goku muttered something under his breath. While you spoke, a man had walked up and now stood behind you smiling widely.
“What do you want?” Sanzo asked sourly. You turned to see who Sanzo was talking to.
“I’d like to speak to the lady, not you.” Behind you stood a tall older man with graying hair, lines crinkling around his eyes as he smiled at you.
“Yes?” You asked trying to remember if you had ever seen him before.
“Uhm well, I’ve got something of a problem I think you might be able to help me with.” You raised you eyebrow. “Y’see, I have a daughter and uhm,” his cheeks reddened a little, “There’re some things she don’t exactly wanton talk to me about and her mom ran off a few years back…” You laughed.
“Sure, sure. I can help. Where is she?”
He smiled widely, relived, “Right over there. Sittin’ at that there table.”
You walked off chuckling, “Be right back guys.” You sat beside the girl she was all of maybe 12 or 13. “Hi.” You said smiling at her, “I’m _____. What’s your name?”
“Nami.” She replyed. “And I know what Dad wanted you to talk to me about, and theres a reason I wouldn’t tell him either. So you can leave now.” She kept her eyes on the table the whole time she was talking. You were immediately worried by her manner.
“Nami,” you said carefully, “What’s wrong? Your dad just thinks just thinks your freaking out about girl stuff.” She looked up shocked.
“Really? That’s why he sent you?!” She sighed happily “Thank the gods! I thought he knew!” You raised your eyebrow and she paused staring at you, “Will you please tell him that we talked about…well, you know.”
“That depends. What are you hiding from him?” Her eyebrows creased worridly.
After a long silence she asked timidly, “Will you promise not to tell?”
