“Will the two of you shut up already?” The Uzumaki twins looked at the pink-headed teammate.
“Never!” Naira said as she turned toward her bother. “Pink haired people, so annoying and boy crazed over revengeful teammates.” Naira said as Naruto fell out laughing. “Look at her who wears that much pink? She out does Santa Claus with his red.” Naruto laughed harder as Sakura got madder.
“Naira stop I can’t breathe!” Naruto said holding his sides as he stood up.
“The two of you are so immature.” Sasuke said as Naira looked at him.
“Someone has to be when around you. Come on, we get your hurting and all but goodness, build a freaking bridge and GET OVER IT!” Naruto stopped laughing as he wiped is eyes. “Kakashi-sensei you think that even with the upcoming event we would get better missions.” Naira said as he shrugged.
“Upcoming events?” Naruto asked as Naira blew him off and stopped helping her injured brother. He fell right to the ground as Sakura gave a little laugh. “Naira!” He groaned as an argument started over something stupid and Sakura like usual ended up hitting Naruto.
“I’m going to give my report to the fifth.” Kakashi said as he stalked off. Naira just watched as Sakura tried to walk home with Sasuke.
“Aha, Sakura you never learn, he don’t like you! He likes no one, my goody goodness.” Naruto laughed at the use of ‘goody goodness’. It had been a word that Naira used when she was trying to be a little polite on people’s feelings. Sakura looked a little heated and stalked away for a moment. “Now that is interesting, a square rock with two eye holes, that’s defiantly a thing you see every day now.” Naira started laughing as Udon, Konohamaru, and Moegi popped out of the box.
“So boss, you ready to play Ninja!” Konohamaru asked as Naruto tried to play it off as Sakura mumbled something about being a ninja playing ninja.
“Yea, Nar you ready to play ninja?” Naira asked joining the conversation.
“Naira you are not helping.” Naruto said as Konohamaru looked up at Naira.
“Hey, Naira you want to play?” Naira shook her head, as Moegi looked disappointed.
“I have to train some more before playing anything, but maybe after the upcoming events.” Walking away Naira heard Konohamaru call Sakura ugly or something for hitting Naruto and she was chasing him.
“Put me down!” Naira turned around and seen two of three sand sibs.
“Put him down, we don’t want any trouble.” Sakura said as he started talking about something and stopped when a pebble hit him.
“Kankuro it would be wise if you dropped him.” Naira said now standing in between Temari and Kankuro.
“You are a disgrace to our village.” Gaara said joining the little gathering that was growing.
“Damn people, I wanted to train not socialize with the boring.” Naira said as Konohamaru was dropped and Gaara used his sand to appear next to her. “The last person I wanted to see during these events.” Naira said walking past Naruto and the rest of them.
“Oi! Naira where are you going? Why are you acting so strange lately?” Naruto asked as Naira just looked over her shoulder.
“You know I’m forbidden to tell anything.” Naira said as she felt all eyes on her. Walking away, she heard the conversation continue onto the sand sibs. “It’s not fair.” Naira said into the wind as she sat down at the root of a tree.
“That’s how things are when you are gifted like yourself.” Naira looked up at the silky smooth voice that sang above her.
“Who are you?” She asked at the voice laughed and jumped down from the tree.
“How rude of me not to introduce myself. I am Sailas Sakiure, Daughter of the sun and the moon.” She said sitting next to Naira.
“I am Naira Uzumaki, twin to Naruto Uzumaki I’m the funny one.” Sailas gave a short laugh.
“Yea the girl usually is.” Naira gave a laugh as Sailas looked at the blonde hair little girl with green eyes.
“So why have I never seen you around? Or are you here for the exams?” Naira asked as Sailas got very serious.
“You have never called me before now.” Naira looked at her.
“What do you mean?” She asked as Sailas gave a sigh and began to talk.
“Naira I have been around all your life, and have been protecting you and your brother if you ever really needed it but you never noticed before because you never really needed me. But today you called out to me.” Naira was confused and it showed all on her face.
“I didn’t call you, I don’t even know you!—.”
“Naira calm down, you are going to attract attention.” Sailas said as Naira sighed
“Great, I’m the only one who can see you!” She said assume that is was what Sailas meant in saying to calm down.
“No, no everyone can see me,” A short laugh escaped her full lips as she continued talking. “It’s just that I am here only to protect you till you understand that gift of yours.” Naira nodded.
“Too bad it’s a curse. I can’t share anything I see and I just don’t like see things before they happen, I don’t see Naruto half dead and Sasuke killing his brother and still not satisfied with his revenge, he can’t resurrect his clan and it is killing me that I can stop Orochimaru from killing someone who is dear to us all. But it has to all happen in order for Naruto to meet Jiraiya and find the sixth.” Sailas nodded at Neiva who had tears dancing in her eyes.
“You know see the future comes to your advantage, think about it Naira. You know what a person is going to do before they do it that is an ultimate weapon and a great opportunity to humiliate anyone you want.” A big smile appeared on her face as she thought of the endless possibilities.
“I never seen it that way, I guess I was over thinking everything and trying to live in the future then right here in the present.” Sailas nodded. “It makes sense, now; I can use my sight as my advantage then trying to forget what I see.” Sailas nodded once more that her thoughts.
“You are very smart and catch on quick Naira.” Wiping her eyes, she hugged Sailas.
“Thank you so much!” Naira ran off into the direction she had just come.
“I’m not letting you go that easy, Naira. I have to watch over you still. It is my job.” Sailas said to the fading figure.
THE NEXT DAY
“The Chuunin Selection Exams!” Naruto shouted as he started dancing in his own little world.
“Naruto you are an idiot.” Naira stated as he glared at her.
“Loser.” He said as she grinned.
“Moron.”
“Pig face.”
“Pea Brain.”
“Freak!” Sighing out a laugh Naira finished it.
“Takes one to know one Nar!” He just glared at her as she hugged him.
“Sensei, what do we have to do for these exams?” Sakura asked as he pointed to the piece of paper. Mouthing an ‘oh’ he disappeared.
“Hey Sakura, wanna go for Ramen, I’m buying?” Sakura looked at Naira and then at the quiet walking away Sasuke.
“Sure.” She said as Naira nodded.
“You’re buying?” Naruto asked as she hit him over the head lightly.
“For Sakura yes, you no way in hell. Remember last time, you freaking cost forty yen. Never again will I buy for you brother.” Naira said as her and Sakura started walking. Sighing Naira turned to face Sasuke. “Ya know Sasuke you and your lonely self can come to, I know you have nothing better to do.” Naira said as he looked at her.
“I have plenty of better things to do than eat ramen.” He said as Naira smirked.
“Name one, oh but before you try, I already see you end up coming with us.” Naira said as Sasuke looked at her. Even though they have been teammates for a long time, no one not even Kakashi knew about her gift. Well with the exception of Naruto of course.
“Trust her, how do you think she beats me at most of our games.” Naruto said for once sounding smart.
“I’ll pay, and you don’t have to worry about a thing, it will be a team lunch.” Naira said as Sasuke mumbled something and followed. “What I tell ya, you’d end up coming.” Naira laughed out and Naruto grinned.
“Naira-chan, what did you mean when you said you knew that Sasuke would be coming?” Sakura asked as Naira looked at Naruto.
“No point in keeping it a secret Naira.” Everyone turned to the left at the current voice.
“Sailas?” She nodded as she walked closer to them with three others following.
“Who are you?” Naruto asked as the three looked over the group.
“I am Sailas; these are my genin; Nara, Anya and Negi.” They bowed to the group at the mention of their names.
“What do you have to tell us, Naira?” Sasuke asked ignoring the three newcomers completely.
“Oh, yeah, I can see the future.” She said as Sasuke and Sakura just looked at her.
“Are you entering the Chuunin Selection Exams?” Naira asked Sailas ignoring her teammates.
“We are, and I am so excited! This is the second time for me and the third for Negi and Nara!” Anya said bouncy like. Sailas laughed at her hyperactive genin.
“Will the four of you be entering?” Sailas asked as they shrugged.
“Wanna join us for a Lunch?” Naruto asked as Nara looked up at Sailas.
“Sensei, we need to train not socialize and play with other opponents.” Sailas looked down at Nara. Anya punched before Sailas could say anything.
“There not opponents, and stop being so down, your killing my mood!” Anya said as Nara glared at her and Negi laughed.
“You have one more time, Anya; one more time.” She threatened as Anya just blew her off.
“You said that the last six times, you’re not going to do anything.” Negi said as the four of Naira team just silently watched Sailas team.
“We would love to join you Naruto and team.” Sailas said as they nodded. The ramen shop was empty when the eight of them got there except for one white haired ninja.
“Kakashi-sensei you made it!” Naira said happily that they could have a full team lunch.
“Picking up other teams are we?” He asked looking at the four newcomers. “What village are you from?” He asked as Sailas stepped over by him.
“We are from the village not far from here.” Kakashi looked at her headband that was strapped around her thigh.
“The Night village?” He asked as she nodded.
“It is small and hidden, not many can find it if they are looking for it.” Sailas said as she looked at her three genin. “All three of them found it when they were little, we took them and trained them, and they are a unique group.” Sailas stated taking a sip of some tea that had just arrived.
“So are my genin, they were all raised here except Naira, she was taken away at birth for unknown reasons but she found her way back to her brother when she was five. Sakura Haruno is a smart and strong girl and Sasuke Uchiha is a very unique one as well as Naruto Uzumaki.” Sailas nodded remember everything that had happened to the two particular children.
“Sensei!” Sailas looked at her Genin and sighed. They were always doing something wrong. Placing her hands together, she muttered something and they vanished.
“Sorry we must be going, Pleasure talking with you.” Placing some money on the counter top, she vanished as well.
“What was that all about?” Naruto asked as Kakashi just stared at the tea that the woman was drinking.
“The moon is full tonight, her students cannot be doing anything or there Chakra flow will decrease.” Naira said taking a bite of her ramen. Kakashi looked at her and wondered how she knew. “It is none of your concern at the moment Sensei, I will tell you at the correct time.” Naira said as she finished her first bowl. The lunch went by smoothly talking and laughing between some. “Hey Nar, I’ll catch you at home.” Naira said as he nodded still eating. Getting up at the same time as Sasuke, she just ignored him and walked out leaving the fare for all but Naruto.
“I don’t get you.” Sasuke said as she turned around and looked at him.
“Are you stalking me?” Naira asked as he looked at her.
“No,” He said as she looked at him.
“Sasuke, you are following me that means that you are stalking me.” Naira pointed out as Sasuke was now beside her.
“I want to know why you told us that you see the future but you won’t tell us anything that you see.” Sighing she looked at him.
“I’m not allowed to tell you anything that might ruin what you are already become.” Sasuke looked at her.
“What do you mean, what I already become?”
“I can’t tell you, and besides why should I, I’m glad you become what you do! Your nothing but a power hungry person who will stop at nothing to see your brother dead, I wish he would have killed you that night!” Naira covered her mouth, as Sasuke looked at her shocked. She didn’t remove her hand and Sasuke didn’t walk away. They stood there looking at each other for the longest time as the sun fell.
“I don’t understand.” Sasuke finally said as Naira dropped her hand.
“Someone like you wouldn’t, Sasuke I see that you care for others even though you don’t want to, you think that getting powerful means you need to hate, that kind of power will only kill you.” Naira said as her head dropped low.
“Naira it won’t kill me, my brother has achieved so much by hate and—.” She put her finger to his mouth stopping him before he continued.
“Sasuke I don’t care what he has achieved, and I thought that I didn’t care about you, but here I am talking to you about revenge and everything else, it is not my place, and I know that but I just don’t want to lose you.” Sasuke looked at Naira. Ever since the academy Naira had been blunt and straight forwardly rude to him, but now she was telling him that she cared for him. What did she see? Why did he all the sudden feel the same way about her?
“Naira, I don’t want to lose you either.” He said as he removed her finger from his mouth. His hands touched her face bringing her face to his and his lips to hers. A soft and gentle kiss seemed to last forever. Breaking away Naira spoke.
“But you have to.” Sasuke looked at her and shook his head.
“I won’t let you go.” He said trying to reassure her.
“But I will let you go.” She said touching his lips once more with hers. “Tell Naruto I said goodbye and Sasuke, you need to forget about me.” She said clapping her hands together and vanishing in a puff of smoke.
