3. Surprise

“Come on Sam, you know that Jacob want to come back.” Said Embry

“Jacob will come back when his ready. It was hard for him loosing Bella.” Said Sam

They were once again doing the most boring job that there was, scouting the border, but at least it gave them a chance to get out. They had recently found a trail that they didn’t know, and wanted to investigate before they said anything to the Cullens.

“Sam I think I found something.”

He had strayed of the trail they were following and found a fresher trail to the side following the first one.

“They must have split up to avoid being found by the Cullens. You follow this one and ill take the new one.” Said Sam

They continued running, but the original trail was getting weaker. Soon the original one went into the water and vanished, so they both followed the new one. It continued to get stronger.

“This might be a trap.” Sam suddenly said

“What why?” asked Embry.

“Think about it, this vampire is exactly the distance that we can’t smell, knows we can’t swim as fast, and in about 3 minutes we will pass out of the treaty range.” Sam said, worried.

But they continued running anyway. Three minutes later they were attacked.
