"Lauren come here." a woman called. I swam into the palaces throne room. "Yes Lina-sama?" I asked. Lina looked at me lovingly while she thought. I can't believe I'm leaving, I mean she's only six. But I think she can handle the North Atlantic Kingdom. Besides she has all of the ladies-in-waiting along with her parents with her so she'll be fine. "I have to tell you something. I-how do I begin. I'm leaving to go to the human world again to be with the man I love."
I smiled "Ok, well when will you be back?" Lina frowned. "I-I'm not coming back this time." Tears started to fill my usually happy eyes. "But, what will I do. I'm still young," I sobbed. Now tears started to fill Lina's eyes. "I know my princess. It hurts me to leave you, your like my daughter. I will come and visit you as often as I can Lauren, that's a promise I intend to keep." She swam over to me, who is the young Green Pearl Princess and hugged me close. "Lina-sama, are you ready?" asked an older woman. "Yes Melody, I am." Lina pulled away from me. But before she was about to leave with Melody, Lina kissed me on the forehead. "Lauren, please be strong, brave, and kind. I taught you all of the songs I know, you'll be fine." I sniffled and looked Lina in the eyes. "I promise I will." Lina smiled. "Then I guess we both have promises to keep. "I smiled as well as one final tear rolled down my cheek. "I guess we do Lina-sama." Lina waved and turned to follow Melody to the surface.
-6 Years Later-
I sat in the throne of the North Atlantic Ocean as Lina came into the room. "Wow, last time I saw you had just turned eleven(11)." Lina smiled and I smiled as well. "That's correct Lina-sama." Lina's face suddenly became serious. "Lauren I need to talk to you. I and my fellow Mermaid Princesses from my generation believe that Gaito or someone like him will be coming back sometime this year. "My face suddenly turned pale and I began to shake. "Y-You mean..." Lina slowly nodded. "Yes he is going to come after you and your fellow Mermaid Princesses. Lauren you and the others must go to the surface world were you might be safe. My friends and I have some friends in a village called Konoha were you can stay hidden. We are leaving today so go and get your things together, little Lauren. "I nodded. "Hai(yes) Lina-sama." I stood gracefully from my throne and swam slowly to my room. As I swam to my room, I bumped into my ladies-in-waiting Mist, Ripple, and Coral. "Hey Lauren!" Ripple beamed. "Hey." I said quietly. "What's wrong Lauren?" Mist looked at me with concern. "I-I have to leave today and go to the surface world." I stated. All of them gasped. "I can't believe it..." Coral said. "Well don't you have those three cute human boys you're friends with?" Ripple asked. Then I remembered that Nick, Matt, and Kevin lived in Konoha. "Hey you're right, Ripple!" I exclaimed happily. Mist pulled us all into a group hug. "If anything happens to the kingdom then I want you to make sure you guys and everyone else make it away, alright." We pulled away and Mist, Ripple, and Coral looked me in the eyes. "It's a promise then." We hugged one last time before I headed to my room. After I finished packing I went to meet Lina in front of the palace. "Are you ready, Lauren?" Lina asked. I nodded. "Yes." I waved goodbye to everyone and then Lina and I swam away.
