Chapter 2 : Feelings Run Deep// Chp 1: The feeling of sympathy
'When did life become so.... fucked up?'
Agito spit the chewed meat he was eating into his napkin. "Fuck! This stuff tastes like shit!" He walked to the garbage can,dumping the rest of his food into it.
Ikki sighed as he watched the sceen, lately it seemed Agito hated everything he tasted, even chocolate icecream for heavens sake! "Is something wrong? Or are you going anorexic on me?" He smirked at the joke, stabbing the next peice of meat onto his chopsticks.
With a loud slam, Agito exited the house, his Air Treks clamped tight in his fist. "Stupid crow." He muttered, the icy night wind craddling the words into the distance.
A few moments later, after getting half a mile away from home, Agito tugged off his shoes, and replaced them with his fang regalia. 'I don't know what I'm doing anymore.' He thought silently, speeding forwards. He closed his eyes for a brieth moment, hinting the sent of fresh blood. Faster, he pushed himself forward, a bit excited by the stench. It was so strong, it practically burned his nose. He turned a corner, screeching to a shocked stop.
"I didn't mean to." Spoke the only living being in the blood covered ally. Everywhere Agito laid his eyes on was painted in crimson, and on the ground about three inches in front of him lie two adult bodies, he jumped back, looking at two more teenagers. One, looked about the same age as Agito, his hat covered his eyes, just as blood stains soaked his neck length dark chocolate hair. In his arms was the other teen, dead as the adults, his dark blue eyes were opened butfoggy and his snow white hair was tinted red with his own blood.
"Fu...." Agito stared wide-eyed, dispite all he had done in the past, all he had seen, this was the most disturbing of them all. He forced himself to speak to the shaking boy with the hat. "What.. happened?" He managed, still frozen with disbelief.
"I had to... t-they killed him, I had to!"The boy clutched tighter to the dead body. "They killed my brother! I had to!" His voice was very high for his age, but Agito ignored it and stepped forward.
Agito examined the stranger as he continued forward, making sure he didn't have any weaponsbeside him. "Did you kill these people?" He asked in a calm tone, trying not to frightenthe confused guy.
He nodded, then spoke in protest once more. "It was only in effort to save my brother, I didn't mean tokill them, I-I just." His breathquivered. "I was trying to get them away from him, but... they all died because of me." He hung his head, sobbing. "I never meant for this to happen." He repeated the same line a couple of times.
Agito felt sorry for the guy, and lifted his hand out to him. "C'mon, I'm not good with these situations, and normally I don't get involved, but I know a few people who might want to help." He double took what he just did, suprised at himself for trying to help.
The boy lifted his head, seemingly looking at Agito, but, again, his eyes were covered so it was hard to tell. He took Agito's hand, carefully laying the white haired guy on the ground, then lifted himself slowy to his feet with the help of Agito. "Am... I going to an orphanage? Or jail?" He looked down.
Agito thought about his words when it struck him. "Those other two, were your parents?" He looked back at the ally, and the guy nodded. "Well... um... lets see what the people I told you about think." He headed backin the direction to Ikki's house, cursing at himself for getting involved with this mess.
"Thank you... I'm Kade by the way." He murmmered quietly, walking slowly behind Agito.
"I'm Agito, but you don't have to remeber that." He stuck his hands in his pockets, refusing to speak anymore until they got to the house. 'What have I done?' He sighed, the sound of sirens echoed off in the distance.
