Chapter 7 : Oh, Mira
P.O.V. – Mari
I waited with the others in the lobby of the hotel until Mira came back out. I looked at her curiously, but she just shrugged and walked over to her sister. I could see the confusion in Gojo’s face, but he didn’t say anything. I began to wonder just how strong their relashinship WAS. Tara looked at Mira, cocking her head to one side. Mira whispered something and Tara nodded. The sisters set off without telling anyone where they were going. I looked around, and finally Mira turned back to me. She smiled brightly and waved for me to join them. Gojo looked at me, shocked. Sanzo looked at me and smiled slightly…It was a little weird. I smiled back and followed the siblings. Gojo’s gaze followed us as we made our escape. Once we were farther in town, Mira turned to me, a wicked grin on her face. “Alright. We need to find that cute little waitress that served us at the restaurant. Do you know her?” she asked. I tried to remember. She was one of the demons… “Yoko?” I mumbled. Mira turned to Tara, who nodded. “Okay. We need to find her. Do you know where she might be?” I shrugged. “Probably back at the library.” I muttered. “Why?” Tara giggled. “Because there’s going to be a tragic love story.” Mira said quickly. “Come with me to get Yoko. Tara. Go get Hikke. You know the place.” The younger sister nodded quickly. She smiled, jumping up and kissing my cheek with sisterly love, and ran off back towards the hotel. I turned to look at Mira, cocking my head to one side. “Hikke’s been sulking recently. I figured he was just tired or maybe hungry. But I think he’s love-sick!” she said in an excited whisper. I cocked my head to one side. “And you think YOKO is the answer?” I muttered, confused. Mira smiled, nodding. “He ran off with her. We both saw that. Now he’s in the room, sulking even more then before!” I nodded…I could see that. Yoko was beautiful and sweet…Anyone could fall for her, and quickly at that, too. So I lead Mira to the library. She walked in behind me, a smile plastered on her face. “Hey…is Yoko here?” I asked quietly. The man behind the desk nodded. “Last aisle.” He muttered, never looking up from his book. I led the way to the last aisle. There, Yoko was shelving a few books, her eye unfocused. I smiled, shaking my head, and walked over to grab one of her books. She snapped out of her daze, looking up at me. “You’re putting it in the wrong spot.” I told her, laughing. She tried to smile, but it came out looking more like a grimace. “Come on. You need a break.” I said, cocking my head to one side and smiling. She shook her head slowly. “I need the hours…” Yoko said softly. I took her hand and lifted her to a standing position. “But you need the coffee more.” She sighed, and finally nodded. “Alright, alright.” She muttered. “Meet me over at coffee place two roads over, okay?” I had no clue how Mira had talked me into this. Yoko nodded, sighing. “Where are you going?” she asked. Mira stepped up, finally. “She has to walk me back to the hotel.” She piped in. I looked at her, but she seemed completely sincere. Yoko nodded. “Alright. I’ll wait at our usual table.” I nodded, smiling, and walked out of the library with Mira, giggling.
