Frankie and Kelly had found their way up to Frankie’s bedroom after dinner. It was about 9 pm and Denise wanted the two to get to bed because they were still so young and needed their sleep. Kelly had not brought any sleeping clothes just like Wendy, so Frankie found a pair of army pants and a matching t-shirt for her to wear.
“Ewww… I don’t want to wear that.” Kelly put on a look of disgust.
“Well it’s either this or your clothes.” Frankie said laughing at the look she had on her face.
“Fine.” Kelly grabbed the PJ’s out of his hands and walked towards the bathroom. The door was locked and it sounded as if someone were showering.
“I can’t change.” Kelly said jiggling the door handle on the door. “It’s locked.”
“Just change in here. I’ll go in the closet so I can’t see you.” Frankie walked over to his closet and stepped in it closing the door behind him. His closet was rather small and the door he had on it had little slits so you could still see out of it, but no one could see in. Frankie was a curious little boy, so instead of turning around or closing his eyes, he watched as Kelly pulled off her clothes. She was wearing a pair of Tinkerbelle panties and a matching training bra. She was not developing yet, but she wanted to wear what her big sister did, so she wore a little girl’s bra.
Frankie found himself giggling slightly at what he was watching. He couldn’t help it, he was always told not to watch a girl change, but he figured what no one knew didn’t hurt.
“I’m done.” Kelly called to Frankie who took his time coming out of the closet. He was still giggling a bit as he exited.
“Why are you laughing?” Kelly asked.
“I was just thinking about Joe at the dinner table.” Frankie lied and got into his bed. Kelly followed him and lay down next to him. The two stayed there in silence, before falling asleep minutes later.
Meanwhile, Joe was taking a shower in his bathroom and the same with Kevin and Nick in theirs. The boys all had separate room and bathrooms, even Frankie, which is where Wendy was showering. She used the shampoo that Frankie had, which happened to be baby shampoo, but she was okay with that because it made her hair extremely soft. She finished showering and dried off, leaving her hair damp after wiping it down with the towel. Joe had given her a pair of shorts and a T-shirt from his dresser, which she gladly wore. It smelt just like him. The scent of kiehl's (after shave) lingered on his clothing. She loved how it smelt and caught herself with his shirt up to her nose a few times before she exited the bathroom.
She heard laughter down the hall in the game room and decided to check it out.
Kevin, Nick, and Joe were all sitting on the couch watching “Bruce Almighty.” It was at the part where Steve Carell was the anchorman and Jim Carrey was making him say words that don’t exist. Joe seemed to be cracking up and bouncing in his seat. No one had noticed Wendy enter the room and she decided to lay low for a few minutes to see if they decided to talk about anything. She sat down behind the couch.
“I wonder what’s taking her so long.” Nick stated looking at the door.
“Why do you care so much?” Joe asked looking a bit annoyed.
“Because, I like her Joe.” Nick yelled glaring at Joe.
“You can’t like her Nick; she’s too old for you.”
“Joe, did you forget about your girlfriend?” Nick stood up standing in front of him. “So you can’t like her either, besides age is just a number.”
The two gave each other dirty looks for a few minutes before Wendy decided it was time to show herself. The second Nick turned to face the TV again, Wendy stood up and slowly made her way closer to the door to make it seem as though she just walked in.
“Hey Guys.” She smiled and headed over to the couch. “What are you guys watching?” She tried to sound casual and sat down next to Kevin.
“Bruce Almighty!” Joe exclaimed rather excited. “You just missed the best part.”
Joe kept his eyes on the TV. He seemed to be more interested in the movie rather than Wendy. Nick on the other hand couldn’t take his eyes off of her.
“I could have given you a pair of my clothes for you to sleep in. They probably would have fit you better.” Nick noticed how baggy the shirt Wendy wore was. The shorts fortunately had a drawstring on them, allowing Wendy to tighten them. Nick was considerably smaller than Joe and more of Wendy’s size.
“Oh, it’s okay. Joe’s clothes smell nice.” Wendy covered her mouth after realizing what she had just said. Joe took his eyes off the TV, looked over at Nick, and gave him a huge grin.
“I can’t believe I just said that out loud.” Wendy thought and her face became a rosy red.
Joe a few minutes later looked at Wendy. “Thanks.”
He then got up off of the couch and headed to the door.
“Where’s he going?” Wendy watched as Joe exited the game room.
“Who knows? Wendy, can you come with me for a second?” Nick reached out his hand. Wendy placed her hand in his and he pulled her up, now walking out the door. Wendy was unsure of where they were heading as Nick lead her out the front door. There definitely weren’t too many places in Santa Monica to visit. It wasn’t like they were living in Hollywood or Anaheim, where they could go to Disneyland or take a walk down the Boulevard. Santa Monica was just more of a place for people who didn’t want to live in the big cities and pay money out of their butts.
Nick continued walking, his hand still holding Wendy’s, leading the way through the darkness of condo’s and apartment buildings now surrounding them.
“I hope your not leading me to a darker, secluded ally way, and planning on raping and killing me.” Wendy joked. “Cause if you are, boy do you have an ass kicking coming.” Nick laughed and shook his head no.
“Then where the heck are you taking me? I feel like we have been walking for hours.” Nick reached in his pocket and grabbed out his cell phone.
“Oh, Nick can I finally have your number? Joe wouldn’t let me have it when we were at the mall.” Nick’s face became angry at the sound of his older brothers name. “What’s wrong Nick?” Wendy had noticed his face. She knew exactly what was wrong, but wanted him to admit it to her.
“I was just thinking about something Joe said when you were in the bathroom.” Nick’s angry face now became sad. He was remembering what Joe had said about Nick being too young to be with Wendy. Maybe age wasn’t just a number, maybe it was something more. “Nick, it’s okay. You can tell me anything.” Wendy stopped dead in her tracks, causing Nick to stop as well. She held his hand tightly not allowing him to escape. She wanted him to admit to her that he liked her. She wanted to feel special. But most of all she wanted to have a reason to make Joe jealous. If Nick admitted this to her, she would probably be more flirty with him, making Nick feel better about himself. “I can’t.” Nick gently pulled on Wendy’s arm so they could continue walking. She didn’t fight back because it was almost midnight and she didn’t want there to be out to late.
“So where are we going?” Wendy asked.
“We’re almost there, just wait.” He smiled and made a quick turn around the corner. A burst of cool air hit Wendy’s face and she noticed where she was.
“Why would Nick bring me to the beach where I first met Joe?” she thought and continued closer to the water.
“I wanted to bring you back to the place we first met.” Nick smiled and sat down in the sand. He pulled his shoes off, then his shirt. He lay back onto the sand and looked up at the stars. Wendy was having a hard time remembering how she first met Nick. All she remembered that night was Joe. He was all she cared about that night. Wendy lay down next to Nick and thought hard about what exactly happened that night. She went over it in her head about a million times, but could not ever remember meeting Nick. She remembers meeting only Frankie and Joe, but not Nick.
“How did we meet?” Wendy asked a feeling a little embarrassed that she could not remember.
“Well, we didn’t really meet. I just kind of watched you the whole night. But to me it felt as though we met.” Nick got up slowly, picked up Wendy, and ran to the water with her.
“Nick, Stop!” Wendy yelled. “You’re going to get the only clothes Joe has that will fit me wet.”
“Good!” That was exactly what Nick wanted. He wanted her out of Joe’s clothes as fast as possible. He wanted to rid them of his smell and give them the smell of salt water.
“Nick!” Wendy had now found herself sitting in the ocean water. It was rushing over her and she was now soaked and smelt like the ocean. Wendy stood up and jumped on Nick’s back. He laughed as she did so and swung her body around so she was facing him. Her legs wrapped around his waist and held him tightly as he tried to drop her.
“Oh No you don’t!” she screamed and wrapped her arms around his neck as he tried to push her off of him. He pushed so hard that the both fell and he landed on top of her in the water. Her head was in the shallow part of the water and it rushed through her hair causing it to float around. Nick didn’t move, he found this moment to be special to him. He wanted to kiss her badly.
“Nick?” Wendy looked up at him and gazed into his eyes.
“Hmm?” he said gazing back into hers.
“It you want to ki…” A light shown down onto both of them. Wendy’s shirt was slightly lifted off of her body, exposing her belly, while Nick had no top on at all. They looked up and saw an officer staring down at them.
“What are you doing here? Don’t you know the rules of the beach?” he asked.
“Actually...” Nick began.
“It was a rhetorical question. Where do you live?” the officer asked.
“Just down the street. We’ll leave right now.” Nick said getting up and helping Wendy to her feet.
“Actually, I need you both to ride along with me. I have some explaining to do so your parents know the rules to.” Nick and Wendy shrugged and got into the police car.
“What were you going to say back on the beach?” Nick grabbed Wendy’s hand once again.
“Oh, nothing.” Wendy looked back out the window. She was worried about what Joe was going to think of her now. She had run off with his younger brother, late at night, to go to the beach.
They had arrived at the house and the officer rang the doorbell. This awoke Denise and Paul. Both of them were at the door when it was opened.
“Nicholas?” Denise questioned. Nick was usually the really good kid who did nothing wrong. He never left the house after 11pm and never showed up at the door with a police officer.
“Hi maim. I’m officer Riddick, may I come in?”
“Of course.” Denise showed him in and everyone sat on the couch in the Living room.
“What’s going on?” Denise asked, hoping for an answer from anyone in the room.
“Well, I caught your children on the beach, after hours, and what they were doing was very inappropriate for being siblings.” Officer Riddick said.
“Oh, no… they aren’t siblings. Just friends. What exactly were they doing?” Denise looked at Nick with a disappointed face, only imaging what was going on.
“Well I caught them…having sex.” He whispered the having sex part into her ear.
“What? Nicholas, what about your promise?” Denise exclaimed.
“Wait, what? I did nothing to break my promise mom.” Nick shouted.
“Well, I will be going now. I’m sure you can handle everything from here.” Officer Riddick showed himself out.
“Denise, what did the officer whisper to you?” Paul asked.
“He said that he caught Nick and Wendy having sex.”
“What!” Wendy exclaimed. “No, he lied. Nick and I didn’t even kiss each other. Nick just brought me to the beach to have fun. We were playing in the water and I fell, then Nick fell on top of me, and that’s when the officer came.”
“Why would the officer lie to us?” Denise asked.
“Mom, he thought we were brother and sister at first, maybe he thought he saw something that he didn’t. He made one mistake, why couldn’t he have made another?” Nick stood up and walked over to his mom. “Mom, I would never break my promise.”
“I know son.” She smiled and gave him a hug. “Wendy, do you have a promise ring?”
“No, but I believe that my virginity should only be given to someone who will cherish it.
“At least you believe that. Now I think you two should go to bed. Wendy, you will be sleeping in Joe’s room. He has a couch that you can sleep on. Goodnight.” Denise kissed Nick on his forehead and walked up the stairs.
“It’s okay if you don’t want to sleep on the couch. Kelly is sleeping next to Frankie, so you can sleep next to Joe if you want.” Paul said with a wink and headed up stairs.
“Well, that sounds like fun.” Wendy laughed and looked over at Nick. He didn’t think it was fun at all.
“Nick, at the beach, I was going to tell you that you could kiss me.” Wendy blurted out, waiting for Nick’s depressed face to turn into a happy one. Nick smiled at her.
“Does that still apply?” he asked with a grin.
“Yeah.” She smiled and moved closer to him.
He leaned in and placed his lips on hers. They lingered in that position for a few seconds and then pulled away.
“Thanks.” Nick smiled and walked up the stairs. Wendy soon followed and headed to Joe’s room. She knocked and he opened the door.
“So, how was your little kiss with my younger brother?”
