By the time rehearsal was over, it was late. Very late, in fact.Practice lasted all day. Of course, in all honesty, Sun-ye's day had stopped when Yoochun put her arms around his body. Right there. That was it. As far as Sun-ye was concerned, nothing had happened that day before she got to rehearsal and nothing happened afterwards; everything stopped with her arms around Yoochun.

He had called her over, saying that because she was short, all the tall dancers were blocking her and she deserved to be in front. So, he decided that she would dance right behind him for O. But dancing behind Yoochun during that particular number meant that she would be the one to hold on to him for the dance sequence in the middle of the song. At the moment when he told her, she did not understand. He asked if she knew the dance sequence, and all Sun-ye could think was that, of course, she knew the number; she danced it every night. Why did he need to ask? But then, he grabbed her hands and placed her arms around himself. She understood. She would be the one to hold him every night. She understood.

However, that was the last clear thought to enter into Sun-ye's mind. Everything else after that was muck. How she made it through the rest of the rehearsal, she did not know. All she could think of was the Yoochun. The way hefelt, for example. His body was slendor and tight. Broad-shoulders and a narrow waist. Even though he had been dancing, there, next to her, he felt cool to the touch. And he smelled intoxicating. Spicy, like ginger. In fact, if she put her nose up to her shirt, Sun-ye could smell Yoochun still.

The whole episode made her feel dizzy, though. She needed to sit down. And, there, in the lobby of the hotel, Sun-ye sunk into a chair, not even having the strength to walk back up to her room. The girl put her head in her hands and moaned. How was all this happening to her? For months now she had been on this tour and never had there been any indication of any kind that Yoochun took any notice of her. Why now? How? Was is possible that he was a player and just flirting with Sun-ye out of boredom? Maybe she looked like easy prey. No doubt, Yoochun could have any girl he wanted at any time; was it possible that he really wanted her? No! That just couldn't be! Maybe he felt sorry for her, being the only girl. Maybe his attention was just some kind of mercy-pity. But that was a depressing thought. What all this really boiled down to was Sun-ye could not get her mind around these happenings. And, as if, to try and focus her mind, Sun-ye squeezed the temples on either side of her head.

Suddenly, a delightfull scent wafted by her nose. It was spicy. Like ginger!

"Sun-ye? Are you okay?"

The girl's head shot up. She saw Yoochun standing in front of her. He looked fabulous, dressed in a white shirt, opened up at the neck and worn untucked over pale washed jeans. His hair was back, as it had been at rehearsal, but after all the dancing, random strands sneeked out and floated wispfully around his face.

For a moment, Sun-ye couldn't answer. Granted, he was the only thought on her mind, but he was the last person she expected to see. Now that her thoughts and her current reality were the same, words were not coming.

Concern on his face, Yoochun asked again, " Sun-ye, are you alright? You look kinda pale," he continued, reaching out, as if to touch her cheek.

Like she had been touched by an electric shock, though he did not actually touch her, Sun-ye shot up. "Oh, I'm fine!"

Possibly her tone was a tad too bright in contrast with her appearance because Yoochun did not seem convinced and sat down, pulling her to sit next to him.

"Rehearsal was rough today," he said. "You danced really hard. Maybe you're over-tired."

"Umm-I-I-guess I am," she replied, thinking how funny it was that she had no memory whatsoever of dancing at all. "Maybe, I should have eaten too," she continued, trying to offer a simple explanation of why she looked so pathetic now.

"You haven't eaten!" Yoochun cried.

"Oh, it's no big deal. I'll eat later."

"It is later and it is a big deal. Come on," he said, standing up. "Let's go."

"Go? Where?"

"We're gonna go eat."

"Together?!" Sun-ye gasped.

A slow smile spread over Yoochun's mouth. "Yea, together. I mean, we could eat at seperate tables, but that wasn't really what I had in mind."

Without waiting for her to reply, Yoochun slipped his hand into hers and led her off through the lobby.

Maybe, under other circumstances, Sun-ye would have realized that Yoochun was not taking her to the restuarant that was on the lobby level. He was, in fact, taking her to the restuarant located up on the roof, which was closed to the general public. But, at the moment, she failed to have any other concern than how soft Yoochun hands were. When they did reach the restuarant, though, Sun-ye saw that she and him were the only two. They would be eating together, alone.

Sitting down at the table, Sun-ye shifted uncomfortably in her chair. Here she was, alone with Yoochun. The lights were low and the only real iluumination was the small candle sitting between them on the table. Sun-ye looked over at Yoochun. She felt her heart skip a beat and something tremble through her body; he looked dazzling, his features lit up in the candlelight. And that same bright light she saw the night of the concert seemed to be in his eyes now. Of course, that might just be the candle flame.

His dark eyes were on her. "So," he said in a tone deep and low,"what are you going to order?"

"Huh?"

He laughed. The smouldering tone gone from his voice. "What do you want to eat?"

"Oh," Sun-ye breathed in relief. "I don't know. Anything is fine."

Although some may have called her crazy, she was glad, right then that the intensity of the moment was gone. She was begining to feel like she couldn't breathe. Too much too soon. A nice quiet dinner was more than enough. Already, she found it hard to believe that Yoochun was sitting across the table from her, about to eat. She smiled to herself.

"Something funny," he asked.

"Oh, no. It's just that I can't believe I'm eating with you."

"Really," he asked. "I can't believe that I finally got you alone."

What? Had he just said that? Sun-ye blinked. She looked to him, but his head was down, looking at the menu.
