About twenty minutes later, Trinity realized what just happened. Her boyfriend broke up with her. Feeling like she was going to loose it, she ran off the bus. She walked through the streets of the city, finally finding a Starbucks. "Frozen chai latte, extra chai, no water, skim milk please. Extra whip and nutmeg, too." She said, her voice sounding completely miserable as she ordered. She paid the cashier and waited a few minutes as they made her drink. She couldn't even manage to smile at the kind woman behind the counter before she went outside and sat at one of the tables, just staring at the cars that drove by as she drank her drink.

Back on the tour bus, though, chaos was forming.
"Where'd Trinny boo go?" Joseph asked as they headed back on the tour bus.
"She said Skylar texted her and was going to call her, so she went to the tour bus. She said she'd be back by the end of your concert but… she never showed. I figured she fell asleep or was having one of those late-night talks with him." Emilie explained, suddenly nervous.

"She said she'd be back and she didn't show and you didn't tell us?" Joe exclaimed. "Oh, fuck." He, Nick, Emilie, Kevin, his parents, the band and some of the crew searched the bus frantically. They searched Demi's bus as well as other vechiles.
Big Rob searched through crowds and asked around, soon the search party searching through the surrounding area.

During the chaos, which Trinity had no idea was even going on, she made her way towards the bus. She didn't notice anyone so she crawled in Joseph's bunk, curling up in his covers. All the tears she'd held back for any reason slowly started to build up before overflowing in her eyes, trailing down her cheeks and falling onto the bed nonstop.
"Where could she be?" Joseph sighed, walking past the bunks. He heard a sniffling noise and backstepped, checking his bunk. "Trinity!" He gasped, whipping out his phone and quickly texting Kevin and Nick to let them know he found her and that she was okay and to let everyone know that, but not to bug her.

"Joseph…" Trinity muttered, looking at him. She couldn't see him clearly as her tears were messing up her vision. She had pulled off her glasses at Starbucks and stuffed them in her bag, which was now on the couch.
"Oh my god, Trinity Lee! You had us fucking freaked! No one knew where you were and you didn't have your phone! I was scared someone kidnapped you or something!" Joseph exclaimed, relieved as well as upset.

"Joseph…please. Stop yelling. Skylar broke up with me…" Trinity told him softly. She hadn't said those words aloud yet and she winced as she spoke, a fresh wave of tears overtaking her.

"Oh, oh god… love…" Joseph crawled in the bunk beside her, wrapping his arms around her and letting her cry into his chest. He sang to her softly, just trying to get her to calm down. She was shaking and sobbing so hard, it scared Joseph. He hated to see her so hurt and he hated even more the person responsible for this was still scratch free.

A few minutes later, he could hear everyone loading back onto the bus and thanking each other for the help and that they were going straight to the next city. Anytime someone would come to check on Trinity, Joe would shoo them off. He held to her tightly, rocking them back and forth slowly. He began to sing Underdog to her quietly, his lips at her ear so only she would hear. Soon, she fell asleep. Nick came back to check on them and Joseph carefully crawled out of the bus.
"Is she okay?" Nick asked quietly, glancing at the sleeping Trinity(who still looked to be crying). "What happened?"
"Skylar broke up with her, the damned bastard. She's torn up… She didn't tell me why he broke up with her or anything. I don’t think she realized she ran off or anything. She's like… zoned out." Joe sighed, rubbing his temples with the tips of his fingers.
"You want me to lie with her for a bit?" Nick offered.
"Yeah… please. If you wouldn't mind. You don't have to hold her or anything, I'd prefer you not unless she asks. Just hold her hand and stuff… She needs people she loves. If she starts crying worse or something, fidgeting in her sleep, try singing to her. Goodnight and Goodbye would be a good choice. Or maybe David Bowie or something? I don't know… just keep her calm. I need to call Skylar and let him know what I think." Joe said and walked off to the front of the bus where Kevin and Emilie were cuddled together, flipping through the TV channels though not watching it.

"Joseph! How's Trinity? What happened?! Who's with her?" Emilie asked, jumping up.
"Relax and sit down. I'll explain. And Nicky is laying with her right now." Joe replied, sitting down on Kevin's other side and he began to explain.

"I want to call Skylar and tell him how I feel but y'know… he could record it and shit and I really don't want to have to explain myself to media, fans and Mom and Dad and stuff. It's so frustrating! He hurt her and I can't do anything about it!" Joe frowned, slamming his fist against the table.

"No. You can't, but I can." Emilie frowned, grabbing her cell phone and calling Skylar. "Hey Skylar? This is Emilie. Yeah, Trinity's Emilie. I heard what you did to her. You are a fucking bastard! How could you do that to her? Yeah, you two might not have had the perfect relationship but she cared about you!" she screamed to Skylar on the other end.
"I broke up with her because I care for her and I want her to be happy! Obviously she's happier with Joseph than me!" Skylar exclaimed.
"Oh, don't give me that shit. Do not blame it on Joseph. This is all you, buddy. You broke her heart and you're lucky if I don't break you. You better watch yourself, Skylar. I'm not done with you and if it weren't for the fact it's almost midnight and I have people who need me, like Trinity for example, I'd really give you a piece of my mind. Goodbye." Emilie shouted, hanging up on him before giving him the chance to reply.

Both Kevin and Joe looked at Emilie with rather shocked expressions.
"Remind me not to piss you off," Joseph joked, smiling a bit.
"Yeah…seriously. Vicious, aren't you?" Kevin smirked, kissing her softly.
"PDA!" Joe frowned.

Joe soon went to go lie down with Trinity and ended up sleeping with her in his bunk. He was shocked that his mother didn't mind, but that was probably because Kevin explained what happened. That and she knew they weren't going to go and do anything. They knew better and they weren't even together or anything. He was even more surprised Trinity slept through the night without waking once.

When Joe woke up the next morning, she was still sleeping. Even after he showered and got dressed, Joe still found Trinity sleeping. He glanced towards the front of the bus, seeing Kevin, Nick, Frankie, Emilie, Denise and Kevin Sr. all waiting to leave for sound check. Sighing, Joe wrote a quick note letting her know they had to go to sound check and left it on the pillow beside her before leaving with the group.

Trinity woke up around eleven. She looked over at the note, rather confused. "Trinny-boo, I had to go to sound check with everyone else. We won't be back before the concert because of our interviews and stuff. But when you get up, call me so I'm not worried about you. If you want to join us, Dad'll come pick you up. Feel better, dearie. Love you, Joe© ." Trinity smiled and got out of bed. She took a quick shower and didn't bother with drying it, rather she just pulled it into a ponytail. She shifted through her suitcase, pulling out a grayish-white t-shirt with the silhouette of two old-timey guys in top hats she knew was Joe's-simply because she saw it in Popstar! Magazine back in June. She put it on and adjusted her dogtag necklace, pulling on another frayed Hollister denim miniskirt.
Trinity grabbed her cell phone and hit speed dial. "Up or down?" She asked once the phone stopped ringing.
"Do what?" Joe asked from the other end and Trinity could hear the band fooling around.

"My hair, Joseph. Up or down?" She asked, smiling as she sat down in his bunk.

"Down and part it to the side like Nicky J did the other day." He replied. "Yo! Watch it!" He called to someone on his end, laughing.

"Mkay… I'm up, by the way. Oh and where's that red scarf of yours? And Nick's Chucks?" Trinity smiled, pulling a pair of socks on her feet.

"Uh…scarf is probably on the kitchen table. I forgot it… and the green ones?" He asked.

"Yeah…" Trinity nodded, cradling the phone between her ear and shoulder as she went into the bathroom, parting her hair in front of the mirror as Joe asked about the shoes.

"Nick said his were by his guitar… and he asked where the heck are yours?" Joe chuckled as he quoted Nick. Trinity could hear the gang getting loud again, but it sounded like they were all having a great time. She could hear Emilie laughing at something, or someone.

"I don't know. I think I left them at Starbucks in the last town." Trinity shrugged. "Oh! I found the shoes. And the scarf." She smiled, lacing up the shoes and pulling the scar around her neck.

"So, do you want Dad to come and pick you up or something?" Joe asked, sounding rather hopeful.

"Nah, that's okay babe. I don't think I'm really in the mood… " Trinity frowned, shoving her side-swept bangs from her glasses-covered eyes.

Joe let out a soft sigh. "Okay… Look, we're going to miss you at the concert! What are you going to do today?" He asked.

"Mm, I'll probably spend the day on the internet. Catch up with friends and stuff. Call home and stuff. Maybe go send a postcard or something. Oh! I think I might go buy myself a CD and a new book." Trinity let out a soft giggle.

"Buy whatever you want, babe. If you need anything, just call. Or if you get bored or decide you want to come to the concert." Joe sounded rather disappointed now that he knew Trinity wasn't coming.

"Joe, why is there extra money in my wallet?" Trinity asked, going through her Invader Zim messenger bag.

"Uh… I thought you could use some extra cash. Especially after you bought all those American Eagle shirts yesterday." Joe replied sheepishly.

"Joseph! You spoil me. Sheesh. Thanks, by the way. You take too good of care of me. I love you, darlin'." Trinity laughed, rolling her eyes as she gathered her stuff.

"Yep. I sure do. And your welcome and I love you, too. Now, I have to go because we have a meet and greet to do, then an interview and stuff… Have fun today, babe. Like I said, I'm a call or text away! Love you." Joe smiled.
"Bye-bye, Joey. Stay safe." Trinity replied before hanging up. Smiling, glad she got to hear from Joe, she pulled out her laptop and began her list of things to do for the day.

"Dude! No, I totally love your work! I remember you from your 'That's So Raven' days!" Trinity laughed, a large smile on her face. She was talking to David Henrie, who had surprised the boys by coming to their concert. They were all hanging around in the front of the tour bus. Joe, Nick, Kevin and Emilie were talking to Selena and Demi, while David had pulled Trinity aside to compliment her on her skirt.

"Seriously? Wow. I didn't think anyone really remembered I was on there!" David replied with a laugh. Although he was clearly flirting with Trinity, she didn't seem to be returning the flirting.

"Well, I do. You were really good. I love you on 'Wizards, too! I always laugh. You and Selena have a good on-set chemistry. It's like you two are really related." Trinity smiled, tucking a curl behind her ear. Any other time, she'd have been star stuck and stuttering. But she'd met a lot of people since being on this tour and she was getting used to it now.

Joe sent glances over towards Trinity and David, trying to fight off the jealousy bubbling in the pit of his stomach.
Trinity laughed quietly as she exchanged numbers with David. "Well, we're going to go chill on Demi's bus for a bit before we have to go. I know a girl who has a curfew!" He said, sending a teasing grin over at towards Selena. He gave Trinity a hug and then went to say bye to the boys as Trinity went and hugged Demi and Selena.
"Bye!" They laughed as Selena, Demi and David headed off the bus.

"Trinity… can, uh, I have a word please?" Joe asked, looking peeved over something. He didn't even wait for a reply, grabbing Trinity's hand and tugging her down the hall and into a more living-room looking part of the bus. "What the hell? Why were you flirting with David?" He frowned.

"What the hell are you even talking about? I wasn't flirting with David! He was hitting on me but I'm not interested." Trinity replied, crossing her arms over her chest.

"You exchanged numbers! How can you tell me you weren't interested? You just broke up with that asshole! What's your problem?" Joe said, his voice rising an octave.

"He gave me his number because he wanted to give me the number of a talent agent! And he wanted my number so if he saw any auditions, he could call or just give them my number!" Trinity shouted.

"Oh, yeah, I'm just so sure about that! You are such a flirt, Trinity!" Joe exclaimed.

"Joseph… get over your jealousy! You have a problem with anyone that flirts with me or dates me! You were like that with Skylar, you were like that with Jesse, Stephen, Zach, Josh… oh dare I fucking go on?!" Trinity screamed, throwing her hands in the air. "No one I date will be good enough for you!"

"Of course they aren't! You're too good for them! And I don't have a jealousy problem!" Joe yelled at her, glaring at her. "And oh, yeah. Because all of those guys worked so well for you! Because you and your precious Skylar had a oh-so perfect romantic relationship! Exactly why he broke your heart and left you in a dump!" Joe exclaimed, frowning.

Trinity just looked at Joe, stung at his words. Tears filled her eyes but she blinked them back, her body shaking. "That's a low blow Joseph Adam. You know what? I'm done. I'm sick of you leading me on, I'm sick of pining over you and being broken hearted and I'm sick of being your best friend! So guess what? You're dead to me." She hissed, taking off his scarf and shoving it at him. "And I'm done loving you. Take all the clothes you bought me, take the iPhone you got me and take the laptop, camera, and anything and everything else and get out of my life. As soon as we get home, you can have everything back. And you can leave me alone." She screamed at him, looking him dead in the eyes.
Joe was shocked by her reaction and really hurt. He could see the hurt in her eyes and it broke him entirely to see her crying and to know she felt like this. "Trinity…" He pleaded, reaching out for her hand and he flinched as she stepped back.
"Don't touch me. Ever. Take the clothes, I'm sure they'll fit your precious Taylor Swift. Since her body is so much better than mine, since I'm sure you love her eyes more than mine as well as her boobs and her ass and her hair and everything else about her. I'm sure you just love her simply because she's not me." Trinity said, her voice barely above a whisper at this point. "I'm so sorry, Joseph. I'm sorry I ever befriended you and invaded your amazing life with my horrible family. Don't worry, I'm gone." She said, walking out of the room and back to the front room.

Joe just stood there, watching her as she left. It took a few minutes before it hit him that he just lost the only person he had ever loved more than anything in life. He stumbled back and onto a couch, dropping his face into his hands. There were tears streaming down his cheeks, unable to help himself. This wasn't what he wanted to happen. He was jealous but he didn't expect Trinity to get so mad. He could hear Trinity sobbing on the other end of the bus, to who he would guess to be Emilie. That only made him feel worse. He stretched out on the couch, grabbing a pillow and burying his face into it.

"That… Trinity. That happened? Oh, my god. Shh, it's okay…" Nick said, pulling Trinity into a hug. He glanced over at Emilie and Kevin, who obviously looked torn between the two.

"I'm staying neutral on this. Trinity, babe, I love you so much and you know that. I love Joe, too. I cant take sides. You are both so, so wrong." Emilie said quietly.
"I agree…" Kevin muttered. When Trinity just sobbed harder, Kevin took Emilie and they went to their bunks. No way there were getting themselves into this war.

Nick frowned, glaring after them. "Trinity, I'm on your side. Joe was wrong and he shouldn't have said anything about it. And he definitely shouldn't have brought up Skylar or anyone else." He told her quietly, keeping his arms around her tightly. He felt the brotherly protective vibes kick in. Even if she was older than him by a year and so, he felt the need to protect her like she had him for so long.

Trinity just buried her head into his chest. "First my boyfriend dumps me over rumors about Joseph and then Joseph goes off on me! All the guys I care about and love are DUMPING ME!" Trinity yelled at Nick, who merely tightened his grip on her. He held her until she fell asleep, then he carried her and put her in his bunk. He assumed she wouldn't want to sleep above Joseph and as his bunk was farthest away, he didn't mind. He then went to the back of the bus and frowned at Joe.
"Joseph! What's your problem?" He exclaimed.
"What do you mean what's my problem?" Joe snapped, obviously having just stopped crying. His eyes were red and puffy, and his face was rather blotchy.

"You, Trinity, making her so miserable! She wasn't flirting with David, I could hear their conversation. You fucked up, Joseph. You let your jealousy take control. If you like her, you should've told her rather than go and do that. I can't believe you'd do that to her! You were suppose to love and protect her! Not break her!" Nick tried to keep his voice from shouting. "Joe, Trinity loved you. A lot. I know she still does, no matter what she says. If she didn't she wouldn't be so hurt. If you loved her, you'd let her know before it's too late. Tour's almost over, Joe. When tour ends, if you don't patch this up, I honestly think you're going to loose her forever." Nick said quietly. He left before giving Joe a chance to reply, going to go to bed himself.

Throughout the next few days, the entire tour seemed to be on edge. Joe's performances and attitude weren't up to usual standards. He sulked around the bus, mainly staying hidden in his bunk or anywhere Trinity or Nick were not. Nick and Joe had been in fights. Tension could be felt on stage but for the sake of their fans, they put their differences aside to put on a good show. Kevin and Emilie avoided the whole thing. Even little Frankie had seemed to take sides, constantly cuddling up to Trinity and trying to make her feel better. Joe had witnessed her burst out into tears anytime he crossed through the room and it killed him inside that he couldn't go and comfort her. It was worse to know he was at fault.

He'd woken up one morning(he'd basically slept in the back of the bus every night to give Trinity her space but he'd hardly slept. He could hear her crying at night and tossing and turning. He'd just sigh and put on his iPod and block it all out) to a pile of clothes stuffed in his bunk. He knew what they were- all the clothes Trinity had borrowed from tour or brought with her that were once his, as well all the clothes he'd bought her over the weeks. In the midst of all the clothes, there was her Macbook and her iPhone he'd gotten her, as well as a camera and other small things like Cds or books or something he'd gotten her when she mentioned she was interested in them. After he sorted through all the clothes, folding them and putting them away into an extra bag, he found her dogtags sitting on his pillow. The dogtags he got her when she turned fifteen and gotten something new engraved in them each year representing their friendship. He slid the chain around his neck and tucked the dogtags into his shirt.

This was worse than any breakup he had gone through. He was loosing his best friend. This was torture.
