I lunged towards Lachelle, but someone grabbed my waist and stopped me. Huh? It's happening so fast...
SLAP!!!
The sound echoed through the cafeteria. Lachelle slowly backed up, holding her cheek. Sage sighed and slipped his hand in his pocket.
"Look Lachelle, I don't like to do this kinda stuff. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but...I don't like you back."
Lachelle looked shocked. Her mouth was the shape of an O. Everybody in the cafeteria started to smirk silently. I smiled. Lachelle was burning up like a hot kettle, stuttering.
"I...ugh. Sage, you love me, don't you? Of...of course you do...right?" she frantically asked, and touched Sage's arm. Sage pushed it away gently.
"I'm sorry, no." I accidentally released a laugh, and then I gasped silently. Tierra knocked my arm and laughed with me.
"Come on people, isn't it funny? Popular blondishy got DUMPED!!! HAAAA!!" Tierra yelled. Then, before I knew it, everyone was laughing at her. Lachelle ran out in fury and humiliation.
I went into the bathroom to change when I heard sobbing from one of the stalls. I slowly walked over to the big stall and saw Lachelle's pink peep toe heels.
"Lachelle...um, hi. It's me...Miranda."
"Yea, and you ruined my perfect life. So GIT OUTTA HERE," her weary, teary voice trailed out of the stall.
Iwalked into a stall,peeled off my tomato smothered purple baby doll and checked my bra. Yikes. Nice and red. I checked my backpack. Good, I have a spare bra too. I yanked off my bra, wiped my body with some toilet paper, and put on my spare. Then, I slipped on my rocker tee.
As I peeked out of the stall, I saw Lachelle on her cell phone. She was whispering, so I quickly hid in the stall and listened.
"Yeah, I'm GOING to get Sage no matter what. Uh huh...yeah. Grab Sage, stuff him into the limo, and...mm hmm, yeah. Of course I'll be ready. Uh huh." She slipped her sleeve off her shoulder to reveal a stringy pink bra strap. "Yeah. Uh huh. Ugh, DUH no?? Haha, you're SO funny. But things are going to get a LITTLEmessy in there. Oooooh...yea, I'm going to 'unleash' myself. Uh huh, mm hmm. Yeah, buh-byeas." She snapped her phone shut and smiled.
She giggled as she took a smallpaper package from her backpack. Then, another girl came in and did two pecks on Lachelle's cheeks. Shehadalmost white blond hair.
"How are youDOING,Chel-chel?" she asked. SHe took the package andopened it. I almostscreamed.
Drugs.
Lots of them. Colorful candy-like ones,snow white powder, weeds, whatever.
"I grabbed them from my daddy's stash. His maid told me about it." Lachelle smirked."Lets start it off with some... of that stuff. What do you say, beau mademoiselle Aaliyah?"
I needed to get out of here and tell the principal!! How...? Then, I noticed a roll of toilet paper on the floor. I picked it up, and thought,"This better work..."
WHOOSH!! The roll clunked, locked the door nice and secure, and then it bounced off the ground and hit the flush handle on the toilet Lachelle was in, like, 5 minutes ago.
"OH MY GOSH!! I JUST REMEMBERED!!! THAT NEW KID WAS STILL IN HERE!!!" Lachelle screamed. Aaliyah hollered with her.
"Get outta here you jerk!!" Lachelle screamed and yanked on the door. "Omigosh, she locked this thing!"
Aaliyah screetched,"Oh gosh!!! Hey, Mirunda girl, you better not be eavesdropping!"
I quickly ran out of the stall, but as I was going out the door, my backpack hit the wall and made a big SLAMMM!!! I didn't turn back and kept running. Running to safety. Running to...
Into...
Sage's arms...??
I glanced up, eyes boggled out and panic on my face. Sage read my face and asked,"What's the matter?"
"Ha...Her...they...heh...," I was so scared I completely blanked out. Everything went black.
Completely black.

"Miranda? Are you all right?"
"Miranda..."
My opened my eyes, and saw Tierra and Sage looking down at me. I was at the nurse's office.
"Huh...how did I get here...?" I rubbed my eyes. I tried to sit up, but I got too dizzy, and I fell back. Sage supported my back.
"Dude, you passed out in my arms. Weird huh?" Sage answered.
"Yeah, and I happened to be there, so I was like 'Oh gosh!" Then Lachelle and some girl werelike, screetching their heart out at us, and started pointing at you and blah blah blah-ing in our faces. We like, shooed them away likemosquitoes and went to the nurses office," Tierra said.
"Yeah, and you were trying to say?" Sage asked gently. Just the thought made me dizzy.
"Lachelle and some girl named 'Aaliyah..." I panted out. Sage and Tierra nodded.
"They were...using drugs..." I trembled. I couldn't stop getting dizzy.They gasped.
"Lachelle and Aaliyah?? Oh gosh...! I knew they were two globs of trouble!" Tierra seethed. She clentched her fist.
"Letsgo tell the principal!" Sage said. I shook my head.
"No, he'll want proof," I answered. Tierra snapped her fingers.
"Then let's catch them in their act. The three of us," Sage excitedlytold us. I nodded. So did Tierra.
