Fascination. [ A vampire-Human love story.] 1. First impression

Megan's POV

" Why are you yelling, sweetie? " A voice asked.

" GAHR! " I jumped three feet in the air. I had thought I was alone.

" Did I scare you? " The voice said. " I am terribly sorry. " He continued, not sounding sorry at all.

" Wh-, who are you? " I asked. I was really starting to get scared.

" Oh, I'm sorry. My name's Jared. I'm a vampire. " He said flatly.

" Nice to meet you." I responded, trying not to sound as scared as I really was. It must have worked, because he said :

" Why aren't you scared? " He asked.

Before I could answer, another voice spoke.

" Do you want me to scare her? "

" Back of, Evanden! " Jared snapped.

Evanden? What the Heck is he doing here?!I thought, confused.

" Hi again , Megan. " Evanden said, comming out of the shadows. His face as I'd known it was gone. Bright crimson colored his eyes, and blood was smeared on his face.

" What happened to you? " I asked, shocked. The sight of him made me want to puke my guts out.

But, before he could answer, he was knocked down by Rueben.

" Rueben!" i nearly yelled out in joy. " What are you doing here."

" What do you think I'm doing?" He asked, flatly.

Our eyes met, for the briefest second, but it was enough time for me to see that he wasn't pleased with me. My smile dropped, and, as I watched him beat up the two vampires, I wispered :

" I'm sorry Rueben. Really, I am." And I realised that i hadn't ran away because I had been scared ofhim, but because I had realised that I was falling for him. And the idea of falling in love with a vampire had freaked me out. But, now that I'm a vampire too... It's okay. I'mokay. I thought about Mondo and Nyxalinea: Moon and Night. Meant to be together. I looked up at him, just realising that I dropped my head, ashamed.

He looked up too and smiled the weakest of all smiles.

" I understand why you left, and I'm sorry that I let it happen. If I had stayed with you, nothingw ould have happened." he said sadly.

" Yes, but, I asked you to leave." I said.

By that time, he had finished what he had been doing to the other two, and we could look at each other better. I saw him lean forward, and before I reallised what was happening, he was kissing me. When we broke apart, he whispered in my ear. " Do you think I should have listened to you? " Then, he leaned down again and kissed me, first gently, then harder, as the kiss deepend. And, even thought I was still angry at him for kidnapping me and everything that had happened to me becauseof him, I had to admit that the kisses made up for that. And so I kissed him back., not caring that we were in the middle of the woods, at night, with two dead vampires just a couple of feet away from us.

" come on, lets get you home. " he said, after what seemed like hours of kissing.

" Who's home, yours or mine?"I asked him.

" Can I kidnap you again?" He said, grinning.

" Sure, as long as I get to kiss you some more." I said, grinning back.

Good job!Mondo said to me, inside my head.Thanks. I just realised now that I really like him.I said. IKnow he loves you.he answered. i didn't ask why, because I knew that it was pointless. There was no way he was going to tell me. I also didn't ask about Evanden, I knew there would be more time tomorrow. I didn't want to ruin the night. So, instead, I just smiled at Rueben. And, let me tell you, seeing him smile back at me was already enough.

Okay, this ending is a little bit rushed, but I was getting bored with this story. It was getting nowhere! I'm going to try a new story, in a different writing style. OG check it out! HTanks, BEx
