The mysterious group fnished sooner than you had expected. They also got up very quickly, you noted. You got up after paying and discreetly followed them. Unfortunatly, they all seemed very tense and the blonde didn't ever look back so you never got a good look at his face...his eyes. There wasn't a thing in this world that could keep you from finding out...
Until...
A scream shattered the serenity of the quiet little marketplace, much to your surprise. You hadn't really expected demons to show up after your last encounter...but you supposed now was a good a time as any to see these men in action. You broke away from the running crowd and quickly climbed up the side of a building, to get a better sight at what you were sure was going to be the most entertaining thing you've seen in quite some time.
Too bad for you, it was over by the time you fixed your eyes to where the battle had taken place. There was only a few of them, you saw. 'That was sure dumb of them. I wonder if they were looking for me...Maybe that really is the Sanzo Party.' you thought while jumping down and landing on your feet. You were good like that. Your mind drifted to when you kicked the crap out of a few stupid demons just a few days before; you started smiling, until cold metal braced your skull.
Your eyes snapped open to reveal one very, very irritated blonde man. He stared at you with his deep violet eyes, and you stared back as intensly as he did with your blue eyes. Just then something clicked, and it wasn't the gun. His temper made your realize...
This was Kouryou...all grown up.
You could have nearly fainted right then, you would have had a sincerely good excuse, what with the gun and all. But never had you imagined Kouryou, the boy with whom you'd grown attached to, would turn out so...handsome.
"M-Master...Kouryou?" you sputtered, trying to retain you balance. You were never good with guns aimed at your head to begin with. All this information was making you woozy.
He looked shocked at first, then his surprise melted into a hard, unrelenting glare. "And you are?" The only words he spoke to you. Not even one word per year of missing him terribly! You snapped. He said he'd find you one day- Not "You come look for me, and I'll only forget about you."
"Kouryou, you...you...JERK!" you finally managed to scream (rather loudly, too). His party looked over at you with confused expressions. "I can't beleive you, after all this time...YOU look just the same...only taller. But you can't even remember me?!" He narrowed his eyes at you. Scrutinizing your every facial feature.
"Megumi? Ka Megumi?" Your eyes lit up at the sound of your name. "Oh, damn, I thought I got rid of you ages ago." You scowled...but remebered he teased you (very meanly) or completly ignored you altogether in your younger days. Why was this any different?
"Shut up, stupid. Not my fault you don't keep your word," you glared playfully at him, only to break out in a full smile, the others still eyeing you with very befuddled expressions.
"Oh! I'm sorry," you said to them, "My name is Ka Megumi. Kouryo-er...Sanzo and I were childhood...um...friends." you discreetly stretched that word friends. It certainly occoured to you that he was your friend. But did it occour to him? "And hello again, Gojyo." you smiled briefly. He smirked in response.
"My name is Cho Hakkai. Pleasure to meet you," the one with the monocle said. You noticed how he was just as good-looking as Sanzo...maybe more, seeing as his bright attitude made him easier to feel comfortable with.
"And I'm Son Goku!" yipped the smaller one. This one really caught your attention. It had been a while since you saw someone with such light in their eyes.
"Awwww!" you squealed, much to Gojyo's horror and Sanzo's annoyance, "He's adorable!" Goku blushed slightly, but grinning hugely and stealing a glance at Gojyo to rub it in his face.
"Do you have a place to spend the night, Miss?" asked Hakkai. You smiled sheepishly. In all actuality, you had no money left.
"N-No..." you felt the blush coming.
"Well, you could always share a bed with m-"Gojyo's words were cut off by Sanzo aiming his gun right in Gojyo's face.
You giggled and Sanzo spoke up- "You don't expect me to be responsible for you now, do you?"
"Of course not! I'm twenty-one years old, I think I can handle myself!" you spat. "...But a room for the night would be nice." Sanzo sighed irritably and you followed them to the nearest inn.
