Night had fallen over my neighborhood. I decided to take a walk. It seemed stupid, but at the same time, I liked the stars so I was taking a walk anyway. The neighborhood I lived in was pretty safe, so I didn't think anything bad would happen. I continued to walk down the dark, deserted street. Turning the corner I ran into someone. "Oh!, i'm sorry." I said, backing up instantly. "It's all right," a deep voice said. The person turned around, and I found myself looking into two red eyes. He smiled a twisted smile that sent chills through me. I turned to run, but he grabbed a fistful of my shirt, preventing from getting any farther. He pulled me closer and closer to him, until my back was against his chest. "Now, if you play nice, i'll make this quick and almost painless." He chuckled. I shut my eyes not wanting to see anything, begging someone, anyone, to come save me. I felt his lips against my throat and then the cool sharpness of his fangs. I kept my eyes shut waiting for the pain of my skin breaking, but nothing happened. Suddenly it was very cold without the stranger's body heat aginast me. I turned around to see another guy fighting my attacker. It was dark. so I couldn't make out any details other than the glowing of four red eyes, as they wrestled to the ground. Were they fighting over me? Was this all just to see who would get to drink me first? Weren't vampires supposed to imaginary? In books? I continued to watch, unable to run from where I was standing. The fight continued until my attacker finally gave up. "Fine, fine. You can have her, she's not worth it. I'll find food somewhere else." I saw him get up and start to walk away. "Don't come anywhere near this neighborhood again." The other vampire said. He stood up, and I realized how tall he was. He also had a deep voice that made me feel safe, despite the circumstances. I stood, still frozen to the spot. The other vampire turned around to face me. I was a little scared. Ok, a lot scared. First of all, it was obvious that these two guys were vampires. Also, this guy was really hott. It was a little hard totell in the dark, but it looked like he had green eyes,( now that they had stopped glowing red), and black hair. He was also tall. A lot taller than me, and I was pretty tall. "A-are you going to attack me?" I asked nervously. I mean its not everyday you find out a myth is actually true. "No," he said, "I don't attack humans." He smiled wryly. "Oh, um, ok." I said not realy sure what he was saying. He laughed quietly. "Why don't I walk you home, and i'll explain?" "O-ok." I said, not really sure why I was letting a complete stranger-let alone vampire-walk me home. "You seem nervous." "Well, I don't really know you, I'm not really sure what to say." "How about I do the talking then?" "All right." "Well, first if all what I meant by the attacking comment was, eventhough I do drink human blood, I don't kill innocent girls just to get it." He seemed a little angry by the time the sentence was done. "Ok.." I said, " so then how do you get the blood?" "My family has ties to blood banks and hospitals around the country." "Oh." Well, at least he wasn't killing people. "You don't have to be afraid of me you know," He said quietly, " I'm not thirsty and even if I was I wouldn't go after you, I've never killed a human in my life." My eyes widened. " Really?" "Not a single human, it was the way I was raised." "oh." I looked down. I wasn't really in the conversation, just listening to what he had to say. I should have been scared, considering what just happened five minutes ago, but he made me feel strangely safe. We came to my house. It was late, and I knew no one was up. They probably didn't realize that I was gone. " Thanks, you know, for saving me." "Anytime" "What's your name by the way? I never got it." "Micheal" "I'm Sarah" "I should be going, bye, Sarah." "Bye" I walked into my house. I was right, no one was awake. I crept quietly up to my room and shut the door. When I laid down on the bed, I fell asleep instantly. The next morning I rolled over in bed, and heard a crunching sound. I sat up and looked down. There was a note there with a rose attatched to it, waiting for me. Dear Sarah, I know that we hardley know eachother, but I already feel an attraction toward you. Which is wrong. I hope that you can understand. This has nothing to do with who you are as a person. Humans and vampires can't exist peacefully. It doesn't workout. Someone always gets hurt. Please undeerstand this is for your safety. I would never want anythign bad to happen to someone as beautiful as you. I'm sorry. Micheal Was he serious? A totally hot guy who I thought liked me since he saved my life, just told me that we couldn't be together becuase of how we were born. That was ridiculous. I mean we had only known eachother one night, but I still really liked him. Well, I want to get to know him better. Breaking the rules can't be so bad, if your trying to get to know the person you like. He's trying to keep me safe. Well, I already know that I'm safe if I'm wiht him. I mean last night I probably would have died if it wasn't for him. I want to see him again. I just don't know how. I spent the day doing chores. Yes, as part of my master plan to find Micheal and talk to him, I spent the day doing chores. It's not like I had anything better to do. I walked up the stairs to my room at the end of the day, and layed down on my nice bed. My chores were failry easy, I was just tired from being up almost all night the night before. Crash. I bolted out of bed, startled by the sound. I looked around the room, half awake looking for whatever made the sound. I heard a muffled curse and lept to the window. Standing near my garage was Micheal. He had knocked over my trash can. What was he doing here? Wasn't he the one who said we shouldn't be together? I opened my window and softly called down to him. "Micheal" He looked up at the sound of my voice. "Don't run away!" I whisper screamed, "I need to talk to you!" He stood silent, waiting. "Hold on a sec." I ran downstairs quietly. I opened the door and ran to the side of the garage where Micheal was. He looked at me with lonliness in his eyes. "Explain" I said. "The note explained everything. It's too dangerous for us to be together." "We hardley no eachother!" I exclaimed. "Is it so wrong to just get to know eachother?" "Yes," He said, " I think last night would be a good example of why humans and vampires can't be together. We didn't even know eachother then, and you almost died. If we got closer, and something happened to you, I don't know what I would do." "But your good," I continued stubbornly, "If you leave now, who will protect me if something happens again? Besides I'd rather take my chances knowing you than never seeing you agian." "Please listen to me Sarah," He pleaded, " I'm already in love with you after just one night. If I leave now, maybe, just maybe I'll be able to forget you and then you can live a normal and safe life." "It's not fair" "The world isn't fair, but we have to live through it." I took a step closer to him so that I was right in front of him, and had to look up to see his face. "Please?" I whispered. He sighed, " You know this is dangerous," "Yep" Then he leaned down and kissed me gently, tentavily. His lips felt soft against mine, and I wrapped my arms around his neck to deepen the kiss. He slid his arms around my waist and pulled me closer up against him. Suddenly, he stopped. "Why did you stop?" I asked narrowing my eyes. "Because it's late and your tired." "No I'm not." "You need your sleep." "Will you be here tommorow?" "I'll be here for eternity." He leaned down and kissed me again, soflty.
>ok, a little corny, but I couldn't help it<
