If you are thinking of buying an Apple laptop, or possibly of upgrading your existing one, have you ever thought of purchasing a used one? It is a really great option, because you can make significant savings on what are fantastic machines.
I've bought my last 3 used Apple laptops from eBay and have had no problems. Just make sure you follow the usual steps - check the sellers ratings and how much good feedback they have. I tend to look for the power sellers and although it's not a necessity, it does give you some peace of mind.
Make sure you check out the specifications quite carefully too - there were lots of options on many of the different laptops, and you can get very highly specification ones for a fraction of their original cost.
Used Apple notebooks offer great value for money, and even the models that are now discontinued are real bargains. I'd personally recommend a PowerBook G4. Full of great features, it was over $1200 when new a few years ago, and recently there were ones on eBay for as little as $200.
Good luck with your next choice of laptop - I hope I shown that you can get great value for your money on the used market.
