After lunch I sat in the backyard and stared off into the distance. The engagement was in 2 days and I was freaking out. My mother was super excited; she had spent the last months planning it. It was going to be held infront of a bunch of Death Eaters.

I had been thinking of mine and Draco's fight all day. The fact that he was a Death Eater angered me to no end but my love for him was so much stronger that my hate that it almost lessened my anger. I sighed; I should just forget all about this and prepare myself for my engagement.
"Alexis dear come in your grandfathers office for a moment." My mother called.
I got up and walked in and sat down waiting for them to speak; I'd done this way too many times.
"This is for you." My grandfather said pushing a box towards me.
"Okay." I answered opening it.
Inside the box was a gold bracelet with a single ruby in the centre and my name engraved on the inside.
"What is this?" I asked.
"Connor had bought it for you; they found it in the room in Romania and sent it to us." My mother said.
I gulped. "Oh."
"There was a note also but we lost it, it said that he wanted you to always wear it." Voldemort said.
I nodded. "Then I will."
I was laying on my bed when I heard someone calling my name. I got up and walked down to see Natalie and Candy standing there all dressed up.
"Hey, what are you guys doing here?" I asked.
"We're here to take you out, now go and get ready." Candy ordered. "I have a lot to tell you."
"Alright just give me 15 minutes."
I quickly ran up and pulled out a black sequined top with a white skirt and black heels, I did my hair and makeup and grabbed my purse on my way down.
"Okay let's get out of here, where are we going anyways?" I asked them.
"To dinner, just us." Natalie answered.
When we arrived at the restaurant we got our table and ordered our food.
"So Candy how'd your parents take the news?" I asked.
"Oh god well at first they thought I was joking but when I told them I wasn't they freaked. My mom collapsed on the couch and my dad just stared at me." She said. "I thought they would kill me but when I explained the situation and told them about Shawn…they were okay with it and they want to meet him so he's coming over for dinner this weekend."
"Really, that’s great I'm happy for you." I answered.
During dessert we sat around and laughed about everything from the day we met till now. I was so grateful to have met them, Natalie and Candy have been the biggest part of my life, they were probably the only people in my life who haven’t left me, who haven't hurt me, who haven’t broken my trust…I didn’t know what I would have done without them.
The next day was hell, my engagement was tomorrow and everyone but me was looking forward to it. My mom had bought me a new dress and was going on and on about how I should look and I was ready to snap at her.
"I'm going out." I said finally.
"Where are you going? There's so much work to be done here." She argues.
"I'm sure you'll manage."
I walked out the front door and stood there looking around for a minute. My grandfather had taught me to apparate a few weeks ago and though I wasn't seventeen just yet I could still get away with it. I closed my eyes and pictured my destination.
When I opened my eyes I saw the familiar forest before my eyes, the lake had de-frosted and the trees and ground were no longer covered in snow instead there were flowers and shrubs surrounding the area. I took a deep breath and sat down on edge of the lake. I remembered it like it was yesterday, the day I spent here with Draco was one of the best days of my life, I was so happy to just be with him. I got to my feet and looked up at the mountain; I closed my eyes and spun around.
