A Headbanger's Love Story. {part one}

The last bell rang and everyone rushed out of their classrooms, Kati made her way to her locker packed up her homework and instead of going out to catch her bus she decided to walk by the music room.
There he was - sitting behind the drums pounding out a rhythm that made Kati want to scream.David was an incredible drummer, and an even more incredible person. He was one of her best friends, and she was in love with him.
No one knew. She wasn't sure how her friends would react. Her friends were all into the guys who had short styled hair and wore polos and khakis. Kati just wasn't into that. David was - different - to say the least. He had really long brown messy hair, he wore band shirts and baggy jeans. He was a true headbanger. He was what Kati always wanted.
She quickly realized that if she didn't hurry her ass up she was going to miss her bus. Her parents wouldn't be able to pick her up, and that meant a 15 mile walk home. Not fun. When she got outside she saw that the busses would be delayed. Kati put her backpack in her bus line and rushed over to find her best friend, Marie.
" Marie! " she called as she spotted her friend a couple crowds over. " Hey! I'm comming over! One second! " Marie called back as she pushed and shoved her way through the crowds of older kids. " Kati, where the hell were you? I was looking everywhere for you! " Marie said pushing Kati jokingly. Kati decided to avoid lying to her best friend and decided to just tell Marie. " Okay you have to promise not to laugh okay? " She said as she turned a little more red than she usually is. " Why would I laugh? " Marie said giving Kati a strange look. " Okay nevermind just tell me and I won't laugh. Promise. " She said with an expression of exaggerated innocence. " Alright. I like David. And before you say anything he's a really great guy." The words came out faster than Kati's mouth could move. " David?! Like that dude who plays the drums? I know I said I wasn't going to laugh so all I am going to say is ew." Marie said with a look of superiority.
At that vrey moment the busses arrived and all Kati could think all the way home was why the hell did I tell her? I knew exactly what her reaction would be. Whatevers - it doesn't matter what SHE thinks. It's my life.
