Arashi No Takara [Gaara Story] [Chapter 01: Normal]
Chapter 12 : Arashi No Takara [Gaara Story] [Chapter 10: Special]
Takara's arms twitched slightly.
"Do you think she'll wake anytime soon?" the nurse stated clearly, and the doctor nodded. "The matches are almost over. They're on the last match now."
"What about Arashi Yutaka? Did he....." the nurse downcast her eyes and the doctor sighed. "Afraid so."
// //
She stared out her window, well, actually, she was staring at the bars that had recently been put in place on her window.
"There. That should keep that monster away from us." The man said, climbing down his ladder, smiling at his handy work. "How will it keep her away from us? She can still walk out of her front door."
The man smirked, "That may be true, but now she won't ambush anyone from her window like she did that boy last week." The other man nodded his head, scooting away from the window.
"I didn't kill that boy. His friend murdered him." Takara growled, loud enough so the men below her could hear. Both men shook, scared to look up.
"S-Stay a-away or, or, we'll kill you...!"
"Like I'd waste my energy on someone like you...I'll kill you both later." She smirked as she heard running. The smirk, however, faded, the longer she stared.
Her hand closed around the cold iron bars.
'...Am I this much of an animal that they feel the need to put me in a cage?'
// //
Her eyes opened suddenly, just as the nurse and doctor left the room.
Easily, she ripped the oxygen mask off her face and let if fall to the ground. Coughing slightly, she sat up, her free hand grabbing her head.
"Takara, you're awake."
Takara blinked before slowly turning her head towards the door, where a smug looking Kabuto stood. She frowned, lowering her hand to in front of her face. "Lord Orochimaru is interested in you. He wants you to come back with me to the sound village."
"So he can do what? Rape me?" Takara stood, eyes narrowed. "Like you'll ever get me there, out of my own free will." Kabuto smirked, "Getting you there should be no problem."
"You know, right now is not the time to piss me off and call me weak." Takara's fist swung left, causing Kabuto to jump out of the room, Takara's hand driving into the wall.
She yanked her hand out, having a firm hold on Kabuto's shirt, pulling him into the wall, before letting go. "I'm stronger than I look."
She walked right past him, as if he was never there. 'Damn wall got in my way.'
// //
"So I guess Arashi No Takara will have number fo-"
"I think I'll pick my own damn number." Takara stood in the doorway the medical-nins came in and out of. Arms crossed, she leisurely walked towards the final genin moving on.
"Yo, Takara, shouldn’t you be resting?" Tamaki turned her back to Hayate. "I'm fine."
There were only two numbers left to choose from to determine which genin Takara would be facing in the final round of the Chuunin Exams. "Looks like I got number 6."
"Uh, that means you'll be facing me."
"Well, we'll finally get to see who's stronger, right sis?"
// //
Takara lays there, not moving. Her mother is on a mission, leaving her alone with an abusive father and a sister that only thinks of herself.
But, maybe, Tamaki might help her this time, at least, that is what Takara hopes. 'Nee-chan...can you help me...?'
Her body sore and bruised, having just been beaten by her father because, well, she actually doesn’t know why he does it; he just does it.
'Why should I help you? You never help me.' Tamaki is standing in the doorway, staring at Takara's back.
'Aki-neechan, I do too help you...please just this once.' Moving her head slightly, Takara winced, looking in the reflection of the window in front of her.
Tears stream from her blue-grey eyes, '...Please.' watching the reflection, Tamaki exits, silently.
'Not this time. Maybe you should think more about others than yourself. Maybe then I will help you.'
Tears continued to fall. 'That's what I should be telling you Tamaki. You only think about yourself; maybe you should think about more about others and maybe I will help you.' Her eyes closed, her sister will never hear that thought nor the one that follows.
'Maybe, being invisible isn't such a bad thing...I would only help myself because no one would be able to see me, and that means they can't help me; then there wouldn't be any pain.'
// //
"Let me get this straight. You are facing her?!"
"Yes, for the thousandth time Koji-kun. Yes!"
"I lost to you and now you're facing Takara?!"
"Shut up. You're both annoying me."
Tamaki rolled her eyes, "You say that about everything we do." Takara growled, not amused. Staring dead ahead, at the big gates approaching. 'Kumo: the village that puts me in a cage. I hate Kumo.'
"You guys have one month to train, so tomorrow I expect you, Tamaki, to meet me at the training area at 5AM sharp." Attention turned to her Sensei, "What about me? Who will supervise my training?"
"Um...You can supervise yourself." Rin-Sensei jumped ahead unaware of the glare she was receiving.
// //
"Like I'd waste my energy on someone like you...I'll kill you both later." She smirked as she heard running. The smirk faded, the longer she stared.
Her hand closed around the cold iron bars.
'...Am I this much of an animal that they feel the need to put me in a cage?'
She let go of the iron bar, turning on her heel, 'What next? Are they going to put bars on my door, so I can't leave my room?'
Exiting the room, she walked to the training grounds; Tamaki and Koji were getting private training from Rin Sensei, her Sensei.
Her blood boiled, 'What makes them so much more special than me?' fist clenched, Takara growled lowly.
'I hate this stupid village and everyone it...except Nadare.'
// //
"Due to the number of bodies found by your window, we have no choice but to confine you to your room." A Jounin ranked ninja stood in front of Takara's house. "Baka, I have been in Konoha since the beginning of the Chuunin Exams; how could I of killed them?"
Growling Takara entered the house, not waiting to hear the man's answer. Storming to her room, shoving past the rest of the ninja's on guard in front of her door to her room. 'Now it really is a cage....I should of known this was going to happen. The whole village hates me. Figures.'
Throwing her pack to the hard ground, she flopped on the bed. 'They're going to feed when they feel like it; no food for days at a time.....They'll treat me like scum. Being stuck with Yutaka sounds pretty good as of right now, but he's......'
"Takara what is going on...?" Takara looked up blankly, eyes leaving the ceiling. "What do you think?" Tamaki frowned, her brow furrowed. "Why do you keep doing things like this?"
Glaring, she looked back up at the ceiling, "I didn’t do anything. I never do anything; I get blamed. This time I got blamed even though I was in another village...explain that one to me."
Tamaki sighed, "Seriously, this has to stop." Sitting up, fist clenched, she turned to face her sister. "I can't keep covering up for you; I can't continue to keep saving your arse."
".....Leave me alone..." Shocked, Tamaki exited the room. "...I can't believe you're just like everyone else."
'And you're supposed to be my sister.'
// //
"The Chuunin Exams are coming up, and I expect you both to take them. Understood?!" Tamaki and Koji looked at one another, grinning.
"Hai Rin-Sensei."
Takara stood on the branch of the tree, invisible in their line of sight. "Forget about me; I'm just some wild, savage, murderous, monstrous animal."
Straight ahead, she watched. Not once did she blink, her focus never wavered; however, her anger increased with each passing minute that they trained.
// //
She hadn't moved, eaten, or slept since she had been jailed in her room, and that was over five days ago. She pulled at the chain attached to her wrist.
'Why am I chained and caged...? Why am I so hated...?'
She closed her eyes, not allowing the tears to escape. 'Crying does nothing but make you feel more pain; crying is useless...'
Her other arm still hadn't fully healed, and she was in the need for new bandages. "Neglected....That's always loads fun."
"Everything I am ends in 'ed'. Chained, caged, neglected, hated, blamed, ignored, feared, mocked, sleep deprived, starved, annoyed, abused, hurteded...."
"Hurteded is not a word Takara."
"How about dead? It may not end in 'ed' but it sure sounds like it." Takara frowned. 'Something is wrong with me.'
"That doesn’t count either." A new voice, not the one before, said. Brow furrowed, Takara rolled over. "Hn."
"What are you doing here?"
"Oh I got another one for you. Adopted."
"Shut up Kaka- wait adopted?" Takara frowned at herself. "Oh yeah...." Confused, Kakashi sat down on the bed next to Takara. "Something's wrong with you."
"Really? I didn’t notice." Takara growled. "Again; sleep deprived and starved. And what is Sasuke doing here?"
// //
Straight ahead, she watched. Not once did she blink, her focus never wavered; however, her anger increased with each passing minute that they trained.
"T-Takara, I...I didn't k-know that you were there or, or I...I would have had you train with, with..." Rin-Sensei gabbled, standing by the trunk of the tree.
"Whatever. I could care less. Just don’t bother me." Once on the ground, Takara sprinted, and started training herself.
She didn’t know why she was so mad this time, it's not like Tamaki and Koji haven't had private training from Rin Sensei before. Actually, this was a daily occurrence.
"Yo Takara!" Tamaki yelled, "Koji-kun wants to spare with you!" Mouthing a 'no' Koji backed up. "No."
"Why not Takara?"
'What do you care?' She continued her own training. "Hn."
// //
"Um Takara you are going to train with us."
"Wonderful." Takara rolled her eyes, tugging again at the chain. "And you and you're team are going to go back to Konoha and live there."
"Whatever."
"You could at least act a little happy baka." Sasuke closed his eyes, leaning against her wall. Takara glared.
"Well, I'm not happy that I have to live in the same village with someone as arrogant as you. Not only that, but I think you’re a jack ass, and that you copied your hairstyle from a cockatoo."
Sasuke glared, "Hn." Takara smirked. "Get in my way and I'll kill you." Takara said, as if the comment was nothing.
'I'm compromising my dignity by just training with you Uchiha, so you better not get in my way.'
