Yet Another Seto Kaiba Love Story
Chapter 4 : Yet Another Seto Kaiba Love Story > pt. 4
Okay, this has to be the lamest excuse that I made up in this part, so know that ahead of time. I was just way too tired of the situation you were in, and I really wanted to get everything into a new... light. I'm trying my best not to give it away in the title, so you'll understand it when you read this part. Again, I am SO sorry about the lame excuse.
“I saw Joey today at the park,” you say, taking a sip of your drink and looking out the window at the moon. It had been a few days since the night where Joey got literally thrown out of the mansion. Turning, you looked at the man typing on his laptop. “His eye was black and blue,” you added, trying to break the ice. Well, you really just didn’t want him pissed at you, because if he was, then you would have to worry constantly about being turned into the cops. Still no response came to you, and you just found yourself once again glaring at the back of his head. Still nothing. He didn’t even tell you to stop this time, which made you smirk lightly, thinking that he had only been lucky last time. “You throw a good punch,” you say, making a face at the awkwardness of your statement. Because you knew that he couldn’t see it. “Now I’m going to have to punch him and prove that I’m stronger than you,” you added, desperately trying to get him to say something. Otherwise, you’d be stuck looking like a complete idiot. Silently, he stood up and walked into the living room, carrying his laptop with him. Stubbornly, you followed him. “He was scared of me, thinking I’d bite him or pee on him again.” You were determined to get him to say something, and so you returned to the old conversation. “Would you just shut up!?” The icy tone snapped, and you noticed that he had taken the time to look up from the computer. “Nah, I’m okay, thanks for caring though,” you say in an extremely annoyed way. He put his laptop to the side, and stood up, walking towards you. “Why are you bothering me?” he asked, his tone still cold as ever. “You wouldn’t fucking answer me!” you yelled back, waving your hands in the air to symbolize your stress. “That should have been your hint!” He fired back, raising his voice to a shout. “All you had to do was answer me, and I would have left you alone.” You stated, though still yelling. In a pissed off way, you attempted to leave the room, shoving him to get him to move. But he didn’t budge out of the way. In fact, he pushed you back with equal force, sending you back a few steps. “I’m trying to do you a favor by leaving!” you shout, once again shoving him to get him to move. “Well, you wanted my attention. And now you’ve got it.” He said icily, once again pushing you back. “I don’t want it anymore!” Kicking up your leg, you attempted to knock him out of the way, but he caught you by the ankle. In an easy move, he flipped you over by turning your ankle so that you were on your back on the ground. “That’s just too bad.” He stated, looking down at you. “Why don’t you just leave me alone and get back to the most important thing in your life, your computer?” you ask, unfazed by being flipped over. Kicking out your leg, you hook your foot behind him and pull your leg in, tripping him to the ground. Angrily, you moved over so that you were holding his shoulders down, so that he could see you glaring at him. “Would you just shut the hell up?” he asked, having no problem flipping you over again so that he was hovering over you instead. “Oh, did I hit a nerve?” you asked in a baby voice, bucking your hips off of the ground so that you kneed him right in the stomach, causing him to fall backwards, not ready for the blow. Once again regaining your position, you smirked down at him. “Do you ever stop talking?” he yelled, shoving you back and pinning you down. “Am I bothering you? I’m sorry,” you say sarcastically, attempting to kick out again. But he had your legs pinned, as well as your arms, so that you couldn’t shove him off of you. “OH JUST SHUT UP!” he shouted again, glaring down at you. “MAKE ME!” you yell, a smug look on your face. But that look disappeared when he suddenly swooped down, closing the distance between you, and harshly pressing his lips to yours. This time, he kissed you with in a rough, demanding way, causing you to sink into the floor at the fury once again behind it. And just like last time, you couldn’t break the kiss, finding yourself utterly and completely immobilized. Your lips parted within seconds, but not by any command your brain sent to them. “Oh, Shit.” You heard faintly, and instantly his lips pulled away from yours. Your eyes snap open, and you quickly use your suddenly released hands to shove Seto off of you. Sitting up, you turn to see Mokuba standing in the room, staring at you two. “Watch your language!” Seto snaps at his brother, drawing him out of his little trance. “What do you expect when I walk into the house, hear screaming, and then see you two making out!?” Mokuba asked, looking at his brother with the same look of shock. Standing up, you fix your clothes. “We were NOT making out,” you say firmly, and then suddenly spin to face Seto. “WHY THE HELL DID YOU KISS ME!?” you shout, giving him the same shocked look Mokuba was giving him. “You told me to make you shut up,” he said, obviously annoyed at the fact that you needed a recap. “That’s not what I meant!” He just stared at you, smirking a bit. “Then why didn’t you break the kiss?” he asked in a very cocky tone, his eyebrows raised. “I… uh… Oh, Just shut up.” You say, realizing that if you explained it, that would only make him smirk more than he was at the response you gave him. “Make me.” He said, mimicking you. Getting pissed off by the second, you walked over to him, pushing him again. “I said SHUT UP!” you repeat as he takes a step back from the force of your shove. But in a quick motion, he grabbed you by the hips, and shoved you against the wall. “And I said make me.” He said, once again closing the distance between you in seconds. His lips once again came down onto yours, in the same rough and demanding way. He didn’t spare a second before forcing your lips to part. This time, your own fury fired back into the kiss, as your hands flew to his shoulders. A second later, he pressed up against you, trapping you between the wall and him, with his hands still holding your hips in place. After what felt like an eternity, he pulls back just far enough to get some air, and you do the same. His mouth just centimeters from you, and his body still pressed against yours, he looked into your eyes for a moment. “You were saying?” he said, the smirk reappearing on his lips. “Shut up,” you said, as you closed the distance this time, forgetting completely about Mokuba, who had long since left the room. [[and to clear it up for all of you, nothing more than a few more of these rough kisses happened]]
The next day, you woke up curled on your bed. The sun was way too bright, you decided as you stood up and walked over to the window, preparing to pull the drapes shut. “Wait a second,” you said, freezing and staring out the window. “The sun’s up.” You say quietly, and then realize exactly that. “THE SUN’S UP!” you shout, running to the door and sprinting down the hallway, down the stairs, and into the kitchen. “THE SUN IS UP!” you shout in a very excited tone, looking at the two boys sitting at the table. “So?” Mokuba asks, completely confused. “The Sun Is Up.” You repeat slower, looking directly at Mokuba. “Obviously someone needs to be rushed to the mental hospital,” Seto mutters under his breath in that icy tone of his, continuing to read the paper. Ignoring him, you continue to explain to Mokuba. “And I can speak. And have two legs. And am not covered in fur.” Instantly, his eyes widen and he looks at you. “How?” he asked, suddenly understanding why you were so excited. “I don’t know.” You say, shrugging. Quickly, you pinch yourself, relieved when you feel the pain in your arm. “And I’m not dreaming,” you state proudly, watching as Mokuba bursts out in laughter. “The pinching thing could be wrong. Mind if I slap you, just to be sure?” Seto mutters bitterly. Again you ignore him, too excited to deal with his niceness issues. “Okay, I don’t even want to know. And, guess. What happened differently yesterday?” Mokuba prompts, after giving you both a weird look. Racking your brain, you try to remember. “I don’t know. Uh, I had a piece of those brownies. I’ve never had a brownie before…” you say, looking at Mokuba as if he would know the answer. “Well, you kissed Seto…” he suggested, and your eyes widened. That was true, you realized. “We’ve kissed before,” Seto said from reading the paper, his tone still cold. “What? When?” Mokuba asked, completely blindsided by that statement. Waving your hand at Mokuba, you dismissed his question. “But, I never kissed YOU,” you said, pointing your finger at Seto when he finally looked up from the paper. “I highly doubt Seto’s that magical.” Mokuba tossed in, amusement flickering in his eyes. “No, you’re right. He isn’t. I’ve never kissed any guy before. Sure, they’ve kissed me, and maybe I kissed them back, but I never started the kiss…” you said, shaking your head in amazement. “All this time…” you said, pulling out a chair and sitting down. “Why did you kiss Seto?” Mokuba asked, looking up at you, obviously trying to piece everything together. “He kissed me first!” you said in a defensive way, like a little kid does when they get blamed for hitting their brother. He just rolled his eyes, looking between the two of you like you were insane, which very well could have been true. “Okay. You’re not normal.” He stated, taking a final bite out of his bagel. “So… Do you guys like each other now?” he teased, laughter once again in his brown eyes. You started laughing for a minute, thinking he was joking. “Oh, wait. You’re not joking. Oops… You really think I like THAT?” you take the time to motion towards Seto, before looking back at Mokuba, “Ha. You need a visit to a therapist, my friend,” you joked. Seto gave you a pissed off look, obviously not very happy with your response. “Then why did you two kiss?” Mokuba said, obviously not understanding whatsoever. “To shut each other up, okay? You’re too young to understand.” You said, and he seemed to understand how little patience you had for the topic. “Well, good news, then. You get to go to school.” You looked at him, laughing at his funny little attempt. “Hah. Like hell I do. I’m Nineteen.” You remind him. “School goes until twenty here,” Seto said, as he got up from the table, smirking at you. “Which we are going to be late for. Come on, you start today.” He said, obviously very pleased with himself as he walked out the door. Mokuba grabbed you and tugged you into the limo, sitting down next to Seto, and across from you. “Seriously, when have you guys kissed before?”
“Alright, Sky, you are all set,” The lady behind the desk said, as she leaned forward to hand you the papers. “Thank you,” you say, putting on a fake cheerful smile, and exiting the office. Looking down at the paper, you rolled your eyes. Math was first on the list, oh joy. Bitter thoughts flickered through your mind as you wandered through the hallways, finally making your way into your classroom a half hour late. “Hello, may I help you?” The teacher asked when you knocked on the door and entered the room. You handed her the form, which she skimmed over, nodding when she was finished. “You’re in the right place, Miss. Williams,” she said, putting on a warm smile and extending her hand. You shook it, though somewhat reluctantly. “Please take your seat, over…” she looked around the classroom, obviously trying to pick out a seat for you. “Next to Miss. Gardner,” [[that’s tea’s last name, right?]] Putting on a fake smile, you walked over to the open seat, sitting down and looking up at the board. “Hey, Sky.” She said, and it took all your effort not to turn around and glare at her. Keeping your attention on the board, you watched the teacher write down some problems. “I thought you were Kaiba’s cousin?” she asked, and now you turned to her, because you had to keep that secret safe. “I am,” you state confidently, trying to hold back the disgust you felt by saying that. “Then why isn’t your last name Kaiba?” she asked, tilting her head in pure curiosity. Oh, she had a good point there. “I’m their biological cousin,” you start to explain, remembering the story Mokuba had told you. Before she could say something stupid like, ‘so is that their real last name?’ you continued explaining. “My mom’s side, therefore when she got married, she changed her name to Williams,” you said simply, making it up as you spoke, careful to be sure it would make sense. She nodded, opening her mouth to speak, but it was the teacher’s voice that rang in your head. “Miss. Williams? Care to answer the problem?” she asked, or, more like demanded, obviously deciding that you were going to be a trouble student because you were talking during the lesson. “Yes, of course,” you said, looking down for a minute at the bare table before you, “But I seem to have forgotten my supplies. Do you mind repeating the problem?” you asked, making up an excuse for not hearing it the first time. “What is the probability that two points on a circle of the radius ‘r’, are more than ‘r’ units apart.” She said, crossing her arms on her chest as she did so. A kid across the room raised his hand, but she sent a stern look his way. In your head, you visualized the circle, and the two triangles that you would place in the circle. “2/3.” You answered after only seconds of running the problem in your mind. She looked shocked at your answer, and quickly walked over to her laptop. “She’s Right.” Seto’s icy voice said from the back of the room, causing you to turn around and look in his direction. You hadn’t even noticed that he was in the room, you realized. “Oh, okay then,” the teacher said, walking away from the computer and back to the board. “But, that wasn’t the real question… I had expected you to not know the answer, seeing as it is a much higher level than we are learning today. The real problem is on the board, I was just checking to see if you were paying attention,” she said, her voice showing she now had respect for you because you answered that question so fast. “-3 or 6.” You say, looking at her. She gave you a confused look, not understanding what you were talking about. “The answers to the problem.” You explain, watching as she looked to the board, and nodded.
Math went by at an okay speed, as you had to listen to little miss friendship the whole time. When you got to your next class, Science, you frowned as you looked around at the class. Everyone was sitting in pairs, two to a table. When you looked around, you noticed Tea and Mai, Joey and Yugi, Tristain and Duke, several people you didn’t know, and Seto sitting alone in the back. Oh, you could already see where you were going to have to sit before the teacher told you. But you waited, respectfully, until he did tell you to go to the back of the room, and take the only open seat. “Hello,” you said sarcastically as you took a seat next to Seto. “Thank you so much for bringing me to this torture chamber,” Sending a heated glare towards him, you watched in annoyance as he only smirked at you. The teacher began the class, the way that every class began, by reviewing what they had learned the day before. “What are we supposed to pour in?” you whisper to Seto when the teacher was waiting for everyone to catch up on the steps. “The Aluminum,” he said in a very annoyed way, as if you were a complete idiot. “Which one is that smart guy?” you snap, but have enough control over your temper to keep your voice soft enough to still be considered a whisper. He looked at you for a minute, obviously thinking how stupid you must have been, before remembering that you were never in school before this. He still showed no sympathy, however, as he made a frustrated motion towards the tube containing the aluminum. “Is there a problem?” the teacher asked, his voice suddenly much louder. You looked up to see him standing directly in front of your table. “He refuses to cooperate,” you state, sighing and leaning back in your chair. “Mr. Kaiba?” the teacher asked, turning his attention to Seto. Without a word passed between them, the teacher looked back at you. “Perhaps you should try being nicer, and doing your share,” he said, walking back to his desk and leaving you staring with your mouth dropped open. Sending a glare to Seto, you tapped your fingers on the desk, releasing your anger. “Stop that.” He said coldly, and you only continued to tap your fingers, knowing that it pissed him off.
Later that day, after Science going by even slower than Math, and then English even slower than Science due to your complete boredom, you were finally to lunch. Happily, you walked down the hall, heading to the cafeteria. You had gotten held back by your teacher, who wanted to have a nice little heated conversation about your lack of attention in his class, and so the hallways were empty. And, to top it all off, you couldn’t find your way to the cafeteria. Wandering down what had to be the fifth hallway, you looked into the classrooms as you wandered, your curiosity getting the better of you. Most of the rooms were empty, or had a few teachers in them talking about lesson plans. When it came time to turn into yet another hallway, something caught your attention. Turning, you noticed Seto sitting in the corner of one of the rooms, reading a book. Curious, once again, you walked to the doorway, leaning against its frame and watching him. He didn’t seem to notice you, or he was good at ignoring you, because he just continued to read the book, obviously very focused. After several minutes of just standing there, you finally spoke up. “Do you ever eat?” you asked, still leaning in the doorway. His head snapped up, and you realized he hadn’t been ignoring you, and he had really not noticed that you were there. “What do you want?” he asked in an icy tone, with eyes to match. Walking into the room, you traced your hands on the desks as you made your way towards his desk. “That’s not a very nice tone,” you said when you got closer to him, taking a seat on the desk in front of him, with your feet resting on the bar of his desk. “Would you just leave me alone?” he asked in a rather exasperated tone, obviously getting tired of you bothering him. “No, because I wanted to talk to you about making me look like an idiot in Science,” you told him, the annoyance returning to you. “You made yourself look like an idiot, you didn’t need my help.” Without another word, he looked back down at the book he was reading. “HEY!” you snapped, not happy that he insulted you like that. “Would you look at me when I yell at you!?” Again no response came, and you, getting very annoyed, leaned forward and pushed his chin up so that he had to look at you. “Why don’t you just go to the cafeteria, already?” he asked, after slapping your wrist away from him. Before you could answer, the bell rang, and you frowned, not happy you hadn’t gotten to eat. “Well, now you can go to class.” He stated, still using his ever-cold tone. With a glance towards the door, you made a very entertained face. “Actually, I’m in the right classroom. Who would have known?” He frowned, obviously not pleased. “Are you in every one of my classes?” You shrugged, getting a sly smile on your face. “Well, you can always not make me go to school and then I wouldn’t be here to bother you. In fact, that’s what I’m going to do. Bother you until you let me stay home!” you decided, happily walking to the furthest seat from him to sit down. “You mean, bother me until I throw you out, and turn you in.” he said cruelly, but you only smiled. “Throw me out? You can do that. But turn me in? No, not anymore.” You both dropped the conversation when people started to file into the room, and of course Tea sat down next to you. “Hey.” She said. You just nodded to her, really not wanting to deal with having her next to you the whole class. “So, have you realized your true feelings yet?” she asked. Dropping your head into your hand, you begged for her to go away. “I don’t like Joey. I… like someone else, okay?” you said, making up something to get her off of your back. “Oh, who?” You mentally cursed yourself, knowing you’d have to come up with something now. “Uh… I don’t want to tell you.” You decided, getting up and moving to a spot on the other end of the room, unfortunately next to Seto. But at the moment, it was the only seat with no other open desks next to you for Tea to follow you to.
