I was sitting by the window, getting restless.
“What is it?” asked Kurama, then stopped. He sensed it, too. A great power. We looked at each other and nodded.
“Yusuke! Kuwabara! We need to go!” Kurama yelled up the stairs. The two boys came running.
“Now, what?” asked Kuwabara. I tapped into Tsuku’s thoughts, seeing as the energy was coming from her house.
‘Someone… please… help me!’
I then heard cold laughter. Tsuku was slipping away. I could tell because I started to see her dreams. I stopped and ran towards the door. The gang followed and Kurama led us to the house. He slammed open the door and we were greeted with screams.
Why is her house filled with people?
Everyone’s attention was turned towards the kitchen. I looked in and the first thing I saw was the cake.
Oh. That’s why. Hn. Looks like they went overboard.
My eyes then spotted what was going on. Tsuku was lying unconscious next to a cracked wall. Her friend was screaming her name. I recognized her from the mall from yesterday. I looked to the demon the energy was coming from. She was slowly walking towards Tsuku, a smirk on her face. By now, the house was almost empty, seeing as everyone was running for their lives. I ran up to the demon and before she could turn around, I hit the back of her head with the hilt of my sword. She crumpled to the ground, unconscious.
“Pathetic.” I looked to Kurama, who was now bending over Tsuku. He blonde girl was crying. I squinted at her.
She looks familiar.
I shook it off and turned my attention towards Yusuke, who was looking at the demon. He had kicked her so that she was facing upward.
“Nng.” I turned back to Tsuku and Kurama. Tsuku was waking up, putting her hand to her head.
“Ugh. W-what happened?” she asked, her eyes halfway open.
