“Mel what are you still doing asleep?” someone said. I was half awake and when I opened my eyes I saw Serena, she was in all white. A white tank top and a white skirt. She also had on gold peep toe pumps.

I groaned wondering why she was here and how she found my room.

“Mel get up! We have an hour until Blair’s brunch, but she wants us there in a half an hour,” she said. I quickly jumped out of bed.

“Are you serious!!??” I said and ran to my closet. I just grabbed the first dress I saw. It was a spaghetti strap bright yellow dress. I threw off my pajamas and put on the dress. I turned to Serena

“What do you think?” I asked.

“It’s perfect!” she said. I smiled and ran to the bathroom. I turned on my curling iron, and while that was heating up I turned on my iHome. My iPod was playing “Everything” by Michael Buble. I sung along as I curled my hair.

After a few more minutes I was done curling my hair and I ran into my room and saw Serena sitting on my bed. She looked at me and smiled.

“Someone’s happy,” she said.

“What are you talking about?” I asked. She smiled even bigger.

“You, singing, dancing, you seem overly excited and happy,” she said. I sighed. Could I tell her that I was falling for Chuck?

“Is it about Chuck?” she asked. I looked at her puzzled.

“How did you…” I began but she interrupted me.

“Gossip Girl,” she said.

“What’s Gossip Girl?” I asked.

“It’s a gossip column online, it gives info on the teens of the Upper East Side,” she explained.

“How do they get this information?” I asked. She shrugged.

“Different people, here do you have a computer?” she said. I nodded and went to grab my computer and gave it to Serena. She put in the website and there was a picture of me and Chuck going into his limo.

“What the hell?” I said freaking out.

“Mel I’m sorry, I’ve had experience with this and it can’t keep you down,” Serena said trying to cheer me up.

“You’re right,” I said “Let’s go to Blair’s”

“Oh my God I totally forgot!” she said and we both ran out the door on our way to Blair’s brunch.

When Serena and I got to Blair’s room she answered the door. She was wearing a white dress with a pink and black pattern on it. Her hair was curled and she had a white headband in it.

“You’re late,” she said.

“Sorry it’s my fault I slept in,” I explained.

“Late night with Chuck?” she said.

“No!” I said kind of mad. Serena turned to Blair

“Blair, be nice,” she said.

“Whatever, well everything is set up we just need to wait for everyone to show up,” she said. A few minutes later people started to show up. Before I knew it the place was full. Since I didn’t really know anyone I just sat at a empty table sipping my orange juice. I saw Nate and Blair together and then saw Serena with another guy. He was wearing a white shirt with a grey jacket and black pants.

He and Serena started to walk toward me.

“Mel I’d like you to me my boyfriend Dan,” she said. Dan held out his hand

“Hi I’m Dan,” he said. I shook his hand

“I’m Melody, but you can call me Mel,” I said.

“So where are you from Mel?” he asked.

“I’m actually originally from here but I moved to Beverly Hills when I was 13, and now I’m back,” I said. He nodded.

“We’ll catch up with you later, ok Mel,” said Serena and I nodded as they walked away. I looked around the place trying to see if I could find Chuck.

“Looking for someone?” someone behind me asked. I turned around and saw Chuck.

“Hey,” I said.

“You enjoying this?” he said. I sighed

“Not really I don’t know anyone and I’m sure I’ll meet people tomorrow at school,”

“Let’s get out of here then,” he said grabbing my hand. I thought about it for a minute. I would say I was sick or something.

“Ok,” I said and Chuck and I left the hotel.

Once we got outside it started pouring rain. It felt like 2 seconds and I was already soaking wet.

“Great…rain,” Chuck said disappointed. I grabbed his hands.

“Chuck, come on! If there’s rain one must dance in it,” I said and then I started to spin around. I noticed Chuck was just staring at me.

“What?” I asked. He shook his head.

“You’re just like a little kid,” he said laughing. I walked up to him.

“But would a little kid know how to do this,” I said and I kissed him. He stated to kiss me back but he let go.

“Come to my room with me,” he whispered in my ear. This sent chills down my spine.

“Ok,” I said.
