I Don't Get It?

I laughed as Selphie ordered the committee to do various things.

“Selphie! Come on, I’m hungry and I want lunch!” I whined.

“Fine fine! Everyone, to their lunch breaks! You have an hour and a half!” She yelled. Everyone instantly ran out of the room before she could change her mind. She turned and grinned at me, “Hey Shelly. Let’s go get that lunch with the peeps.” She said, dragging me along the long halls of Balamb Garden to the cafeteria.

“You know Selph, maybe if you didn’t yell at the committee, they would do a better job.” I suggested laughing.

“Eh, but having them fear me is SO much more fun!” She replied, letting me walk at my own pace as we walked into the cafeteria. “You want the spaghetti and a bottle of water, right?” She asked, walking over to the line. I nodded and scanned the crowd for our friends.

“Anna! Anna, over here!” A voice yelled. I turned and saw Rinoa smiling and waving me over. I grinned and ran to the table.

“Hey guys, anything I miss?” I asked, sitting down by Squall.

“Nothin’ much.” Irvine said grinning at me. “Though, you haven’t changed much, Miss I’m-too-stubborn-to-stay-and-become-a-SEED. How’s the outside world?” He asked.

I laughed at the name he gave me. “Boring, staying with Aunt Heartilly can get old after a few months.” I replied. “Oh, and Rinny, your mom’s sending over a car for you, your birthday present. But don’t tell her I told you, and act surprised!” I added.

“Thanks Anna.” She replied excitedly. “What kind is it? What color? Are the seats leather? Does it have a removable top?” She questioned.

“Ah, I’m not saying any details. But, it’s a sweet ride!” I giggled.

“You’ve been doing well, then?” Squall asked.

I grinned over at him. “Yeah, but things have been so QUIET after the whole Ultimecia ordeal, I kinda miss the action sometimes.” I confessed.

“Then come back! We all miss having you on our backs all the time. Some of us, literally.” Irvine said, slapping me on the back.

“Ha ha, I think I just might. If Mr. Headmaster will let me.” I grinned, nudging Squall in the ribs.

He smiled a little, something he’s been doing more often of late and nodded. “When can you move in?” He asked.

“Yes! Squall, I love you too much right now!” I declared, hugging him tightly. And heard Irvine cough and turned to look at him. “What?” I asked. He tried to hide his laughter and he directed my head towards Squall’s pants. There was a bulge and he was looking away from everyone. I turned to Rinoa, “What’d I do?”

She laughed and hugged me tight. “Anna, you’re so innocent! Don’t you DARE change without my permission!” She commanded.

I turned to Zell when she let me go, who was surpringly quiet. “Seriously, I don’t get it.” He laughed and looked at Rinoa in permission to tell me. Selphie sat down and looked around the table. She grabbed her soda and started to drink it.

She looked sad, but nodded. “Anna, you gave him what we call, a boner.”

Selphie spit out her soda immediately, “WHAT!? SHE GAVE WHO A BONER!?” She yelled. Irvine laughed and pointed at Squall. “Squall!! Get it to go down before I MAKE it go down!” She demanded. Rinoa started crying she was laughing so hard.

“I don’t get it, what’s “it”?” Zell laughed and whispered the meaning in my ear. My eyes widened and I felt my face get hot. “EWW!!!”

Squall blushed seriously hard and stood up. “I’ll see you all later.”

“Goin’ to take a cold shower partner?” Irvine asked smirking at him

“Freezing cold.” He replied walking off.

The entire table was laughing at this point.
