After a couple walks around Central Park with Nate, we finally decided to get some lunch at a cafe a few blocks away.
"Do you want to call Chuck?" Nate blurted out.
"Huh?" I stared up at him confused as we walked down a street.
"Chuck?" Nate asked waving his phone infront of my face.
"Why?" I gave him an odd face.
"You were giving that face," Nate explained. "You know the one that says--- Just call him. You know you are dying to."
"No, I'm--- Yes I am," I slammed my foot down on the sidewalk infrustration of knowing he was right, like always.
Nate laughed at me.
"Shut up," I pointed my finger at him, then it came to me, "I need to change my clothes."
"That sounds like a good idea, but going home would be pointless, then we would just becoming back," Nate shrugged.
"That's why I'm buying some cloths," My face was smiling from ear to ear. "So can I borrow some money?"
"Didn't bring any with you?" Nate raised his eyebrow.
"I spent the night at Chuck's," I gave my reason. "I didn't need money."
"Ok," Nate shook his head directing me into one of the clothing stores.
A half hour later, I got a dark blue knotted tank and a dark gray mini skirt that matched my strapped black shoes. I stuffed all of Chuck's cloths in my shopping bag except for his jacket, which I was still wearing. What can I say, it's warm?
"You sure?" I asked Nate before I called Chuck.
"Yes," Nate chuckled.
"Ok, then," I dialed Chucks number and then waited for him to pick up.
A ring later, "Hello, Chuck Bass," Chuck answered. He does know it's me, right?
"Hey, Chuck," I smiled. "I hope I'm not bothering you."
"Autumn?" I could feel a smirk coming across his face, "You're never bothering me, beautiful. What's going on?"
"First, I wanted to say thank you for the ride and you didn't have to do that," I told him.
"I wouldn't let my girlfriend go take a taxi."
"It's not as bad as you think," I smirked. "Second thing our little boy is perfectly fine."
"Glad to hear you have everything under control."
"Third, Nate and I wanted to know if you could have lunch with us."
"I would love to be with you, but I'm still stuck in this boring meeting---" He started to say then he was cut off.
"Hello, Ms." A male voice said.
"McKnight. Autumn McKnight," I said it like Bond, James Bond.
Nate gave me a look. I shrugged.
"Well Ms. McKnight, I'm sorry, but my son is in a business meeting," He informed me.
"Mr. Bart Bass? I should be the one saying sorry," I politely spoke. "Well can I at least tell my boyfriend bye, Mr. Bart?"
"Boyfriend?" I could tell he was confused. "Were you the girl walking out of my son's apartment?" He whispered the last part, of course.
"Yes," I shy fully said.
"Father can I please have my phone back?" I heard Chuck sternfully ask his dad.
It switched over.
"I'm sorry about that," Chuck told me.
"Chuck," I yelled at him.
He chuckled at my voice.
"That wasn't funny."
He chuckled, again.
"Bye, Chuck," I spat out, before hanging up with him.
"What happened this time?" Nate stared at me.
"He was in a meeting and he thought it would be funny to talk to me and then his dad took the phone away," I rambled on. "URG," I screamed.
"What did Chuck's dad say?"
"He asked me if I was the girl that came out of Chuck's apartment this morning," I shielded my face with my hands.
"And you said?"
"Yes," I murmured.
"Did he say something afterwards?"
"I don't know. Chuck took the phone away from him." Then I whined, "Just get me some coffee."
"Can do," Nate grinned pulling me towards the coffee shop.
Later, that evenning I found myself about ready to die when I hit my head on my pillow, when my cell rang. It always has the worst timing ever. I picked it up, "Hello?"
"Sorry, about this morning I just missed your voice," It was Chuck.
"Voicemail?"
"But I can't resist you," Chuck said in a sexy tone.
"Shut up, Chuck, before I vomit," I laughed. "Don't worry you're forgiven."
"Good, I hate to see you mad at me," Chuck started, "then I would have to find someone to replace you and that would be extremely hard."
"Oh yeah?"
"Yes," He went on, "believe it or not, but I truly would miss you."
I rolled around on my bed, so I was now laying on my stomach, "Good, because I would miss you, too. Now why did you call, Chuck?"
"I can't call my girlfriend for no reason?"
"You? No," I spat out. "Come on, Chuck."
He let out a sigh, "My father wants you to come to dinner with us Saturday."
I froze. Why?
"You don't have to come if you don't want to," Chuck told me. "I know how you feel about that sort of thing."
That woke me up, "It was one bad experience with one terrible guy that ended with cake all over my beautiful black gucci that he dropped on it. Urgh---"
"I know," Chuck said not wanting to be reminded of me and Carter going out.
"Sorry," I whined, "but I'll go for you as long as there is no cake."
"I promise."
"Good," I smiled. "I'll see you tomorrow then?"
"Tomorrow."
I hung up on right when Nate walked into my room, "Who was that?" He pointed towards my phone.
I smiled all giddy, "Chuck."
"Should of known," Nate shook his head.
"So what do you want?" I sat up letting him take a seat on my bed.
"We're having a dinner with Blair this coming weekend," Nate explained.
"Oh my god! Nate, I'm sorry, but I can't come!" I let out knowing he didn't want me there in the first place.
"What are you doing?" Nate wondered.
"I'm having a dinner with the Basses," I whispered to him.
"Chuck and Bart Bass?" Nate asked making sure.
"Wait the dinner!?" I gave him a weird look. "The dinner that they've been talking about sense you and Blair were little kids? How she's going to become a part of the Archibald family?"
Nate nodded.
"So you decided?" I smiled.
"No," Nate leaned his head down towards the ground. "I just can't get her out of my head."
"That's because she was the last person you slept with," I coughed.
"That has nothing to do with it."
"Yes, it does," I shook my head in protest. "It has everything to do with it."
And you still haven't told us what's going on with Golden Boy and his little secret, or is it a secret?
Do you have a little secret of your own Mystery Girl? We all did see you tearing up in the park or was it just the way the light shined in the photo?
Does it have to deal with the Romantic air in France? Romance is always in the air in the city of Love.
