Quick Recap - Most people would be happy to find out that they had powers, but it was just another reason to stay in this house, and she didn't want it.
START
What she did want was for everything to go back to normal.
Not that that would happen anytime soon.
She decided that what she really needed was a nice bath and some time to relax and be away from everyone.
Mayumi stipped off the little clothes she had left on her and relaxed in the deep water of the tub in her bathroom. She let the tension from the past couple of days sink away and shut her eyes listening only to the running water still filling the tub.
She knew that now that she had her powers the others would want her to train and learn to use them, so she was determined to get what rest she could before that happened. Why fight the inevitable? If things were going to progress like this, then she wasn't going to resist anymore.
Mayumi drained the tub and let her bad mood go down the drain with the rest of the water.
She brushed her long blue hair and did her best to consentrate on a book.
She wished she had internet. That would make things a hell of a lot easier. But she guessed they wouldn't get that this far out here.
They had TV though, so maybe Mayumi could get lucky enough to ask Koenma and get what she actually wanted for a change.
The next day Mayumi let herself out of her room and wandered into the kitchen.
She hadn't eaten anything since the day before yesterday, so she was starving.
Thoughts of food left her though when she saw Koenma and the others surrounding the table. Koenma never came into the house with the others, so it must be important.
"Mayumi. I see you're awake. I'm assigning Yusuke to help you train and get your powers stabalized. Now, I know I shouldn't trust someone like him to this big of a job, but if he doesn't work out, I'm sure the others will be glad to help you." Koenma announced.
Botan nodded he head, as did Kuwabara and Kurama.
Yusuke muttered something under his breath about giving the toddler a place where he could shove his pacifier, and Hiei just stood there with his arms crossed.
'I'll help you out if need be.' said a voice in Mayumi's head.
She looked towards Hiei again, quick shock passing her face.
'Wow, Hiei... didn't know you cared.'
'I don't. But I was told I had to if Yusuke didn't cooperate, so I might as well tell you now.'
Hiei was such a compassionate person, Mayumi thought, sarcasm dripping from the statement.
'Hn.' Hiei read her last thought.
His last hn almost sounded like it had a hint of laughter in it.
"Mayumi... Mayumi, are you listening to me?" Koenma asked.
"Actually, no. What were you saying?" she asked.
"Well, since I just rambled to myself for the past minute and a half, I'll cut it short. You must be hungry, so eat, then meet Yusuke in the back yard for some training. Yusuke, don't work her too hard."
Koenma rose from his seat and marched back toward the portal that had taken him to the kitchen.
"Did I miss anything important while zoned out?" Mayumi asked.
"Not really. Is there something I can make for you, Mayumi?" Kurama asked.
