"Hey mom…are you sure you're up to this?" I asked. "Of course dear! And besides, I haven't visited Nana in such a long time, and while I'm there you can go visit with Tsuna and the others too!" "Good point, but can I show off Koyuki too?" "Now Shiriko, he isn't a trophy." She scolded, ignoring the last part of my sentence. "But he's just so darn cute! >./////< "How can we not show him off!"
"Look, we're here." She said stopping in front of Tsuna's gate. The door opened to reveal his mother waving at us.
"Glad you made it alright!" she said smiling. "Please, come right in."
"Hello Nana, how are you doing?" My mom asked pushing the stroller inside.
"I'm doing fine, what about you Shiriko? How does it feel to be an older sister?"
"It feels great Nana-San! I can't wait to teach him stuff!" I exclaimed excited. She giggled.
"Tsuna and the others are upstairs."
"Thank you! Mom can I show off- I mean- take Yuki-chan upstairs to show everyone?"
"Hmm…I don't know…"
"Oh let her take him upstairs Saya, in the mean time we can catch up on a few things. I know, let's go shopping!" Nana-San said putting a hand on her shoulder.
"Well alright, but take his baby bag with him, it has his diapers, his bottle, and-"
"I know mom, I help pack it remember?" I grinned. His stroller was a baby carrier/ stroller so all I had to do was unlock the thingamabob and grab his bag. I made my way upstairs and kicked the door open.
"Hey every…bo…dy…whoa, who died?" I asked the room was like a friken morgue! They were all just standing there like…zombies. I gasped. "Did you all turn into zombies?! Don't kill Koyuki! Leave his delicious baby brain alone!" I yelled holding the carrier away from them.
"Idiot!" Gokudera said bonking me on the head, "We're not Zombies!"
"Then what happened?" I said rubbing my head.
"Well you see… last night, I woke up to a thief in my room but after that everything just went black, and when I woke up, he" Tsuna said pointing to a dude in a cap on his bed. "Was there dead as a door nail!" he said breaking down into tears. "I don’t know what happened! Reborn said I killed him! I'm a killer!" he cried.
"Tsuna-San! I'll wait for you!" Haru cried out, probably imagining something dramatic.
"Now, now! You said you don't remember anything right?" Takeshi said trying to calm him down. I sat down on the floor putting the carrier in front of me.
"I don't see what the big deal is, killing someone that is…" I said rocking Koyuki to sleep.
Everyone grew silent.
"Do…do you mean…you've actually…killed someone?" Haru said slowly. I bowed my head and smirked.
"Maybe…heh heh…"
"Eep! A dark shadow just appeared behind her!" she yelled scooting back. I laughed.
"Nah I'm just joshing you…>.>… < .<. Heh…"
"Somehow I don't believe you, but I will…" She said with tears coming out of her eyes.
"Yeah…You do that now…"
"Getting back to the point…if this guy is really dead," Gokudera held up a stick of dynamite. "If he doesn't wake up then we can really tell!"
"Why must you resolve everything by blowing stuff up? -_-" I said with a sweat drop.
the "dead" body's eyes twitched making Tsuna and Haru recoil back.
"An ambulance!" Haru said reaching into her coat pocket to her cell phone.
"There's no need to do that." Reborn said dragging in a drunk Shamal.
"What's wrong?" he said standing up and holding his head. "I had a little fancy date with a senorita."
"Never mind that!" Tsuna said. "Will you take a look at this guy?!"
"Oh, right…someone was on the verge of dying." He went ups to Haru and puckered his lips making her scream in disgust so she socked him a good on in his face, sending him flying back.
"Nice one Haru…" I said, poking the dead guy in his side.
"With that much energy he'll be fine…" The doctor muttered holding his face.
"Just who do you think you're examining!?" Tsuna yelled. "This guy's the patient!" he pointed over to the thief.
"Right, right…" this time he went towards me. "Let's see what the problem is okay?" he suddenly stopped and looked towards the carrier. "Don't tell me… YOU!" he pointed over to Gokudera. "How dare you have a child with my pure little flower?!"
"WHAT?!" we both yelled out at the same time.
"You heard me! That was my job!" he retorted jabbing a finger at his direction.
"That isn't our child you crazy quack!" Gokudera yelled at him.
"Our…child…? .__.?" I muttered in the corner.
"Gokudera's right, that's Shiriko's little brother." Takeshi said not affected by any of the madness.
"Thank goodness! Shiriko-chan is still pure!" The doctor said a little too relieved. "Now… where were we?" he said coming toward me again. I turned and kicked him in his face.
"Even if I had a child it wouldn't be with a player like you…!" I said, a dark aura surrounding me.
"This patient is full of energy too…" he muttered.
"Will you quit hitting on them and pay attention to this guy?!" Tsuna shouted. The doctor sighed and ran a hand through his dark hair.
"How many times do I have to repeat myself? I only treat women, not men."
"Oh, yeah." Reborn said 'realizing it'.
"You knew this would happen! You knew!" Tsuna cried out.
"This is fun!" Takeshi said smiling.
"Well, if his pupils are dilated, and his breathing and his heart has stopped, he's dead." Dr. Shamal said looking over to him.
"It looks like his pupils are dilated." Haru said checking.
"He's stopped breathing." Takeshi said holding a strip of paper in front of the man's face.
"And his heart's stopped." Gokudera said checking for a pulse.
"So you mean…" I grinned. "It really is a dead body?! *_* Cool!" everyone did an anime fall.
"How can you possibly think this is cool?!" Tsuna yelled shaking me. "He's dead!"
"Well, I don't have any business with the dead., Bye." Dr. Shamal said leaving.
"Thank goodness he's gone…" I sighed.
"No! My life is over!" Tsuna bawled.
"Oh relax." Reborn said calmly. "I brought someone else." He jabbed a thumb to the window where Hibari leaped into the window.
"Onii-San!" I said happily.
"Yo."
"Look, look! Our little brother was finally born!"
"I see, send your mother my thanks."
"Will do! She said she's glad to have such a responsible young man as Koyuki's older brother, and hopes that you will help him to grow up just like you." He smirked.
"It'll be my honor."
"Now I feel bad for the kid…" Tsuna muttered, earning a glare from Hibari.
"What was that?"
"N-Nothing! So what are you doing H-Hibari-San?" he stuttered.
"I'm here so that the baby would owe me a favor. A trade-off." He crossed his arms and looked over at the dead body. "I can take care of this for you."
"W-what are you saying?!" Tsuna spazzed.
"He's going to make it so that the body will never be found by anyone. It'll be like it never happened." Reborn explained.
"That is not good in so many ways!" Tsuna continued to freak.
"I'll send some people from the disciplinary committee later then. See ya." Hibari said leaping from the window.
"Bye, bye Onii-San!" I waved. "Onii-San is so cool! >///< Let's do our best to make him proud Yuki-chan!"
"How do you look up to someone like that?!" Gokudera yelled.
"How can you not?" I snorted.
"What kind of answer is that?!"
"Stop yelling, you'll wake up Koyuki!" I hissed putting a hand over his mouth. All of a sudden the doorbell rang…dun, dun, duun XD.
"Hello? Tsuna-Kun?"
"Oh it's Kyoko! We have to show Yuki-chan to her I said heading for the door, only to be tackled by Tsuna.
"Don't! we can't let her see the body!"
"You didn't have to tackle me…TT_TT" while they were all running around the room getting everything in "order" which I mean by dragging the thief into the closet, I crawled over to Koyuki, I can't believe he was still sleeping! :O
"Hello? Tsuna-kun?" Kyoko said walking in.
"Oh, hey Sasagawa!" Takeshi said trying to play it cool. Gokudera just pretended to read a random magazine.
"You're-you're looking well today! Kyoko-chan!" Haru said.
"Yo T_T." Was all I said waving a hand.
"Welcome!" Tsuna said with a pillow in his hand. He placed it near the table. "Please, have a seat."
"Thank you Tsuna-kun." She said taking a seat. "Shiriko, is that you're little brother?" I perked up and carefully brought the carrier next to her.
"Yup, but he's still sleeping, even after Gokudera and Takeshi dragged the b-" before I could finish Gokudera clamped a hand over my mouth.
"She means when they dragged the table in to the right place!" Tsuna saved with a nervous smile. I pulled his hand from my mouth.
"Why do people keep doing that?!"
"Because you won't keep your mouth shut!" he said into my ear.
"Well I was going to say when you guys dragged the bed around." Kyoko looked over to said bed.
"But it looks the same."
"Yeah, they decided it looked better that way." All of a sudden the four of them turned pale and looked over at the closet, where the hand of the dead guy was sticking out!
"Hmm? What's the matter everyone?" Kyoko said, just when half the body fell through the opening, she was about to turn around when Lambo and I-Pin came in and started jumping around, nice save…
"Lambo-San did nothing wrong!" he said as I-Pin chased him.
"What's the matter now?" Tsuna asked as they landed on the table.
"Lambo did something bad. The tickets." I-Pin said.
"I didn't lose them! I put them in my head!" he said explaining that at the amusement park they were supposed to go to, he couldn't find the ticket's since they got lost in his hair apparently. "Lambo-San did nothing wrong!" he said leaping away from I-Pin out the window.
"Lambo, wait!" she said following him.
"That was odd…" I muttered.
"They're always so full of energy." Kyoko said glancing at the body, but Haru distracted her with a prop mannequin that resembled a funeral car carrying a coffin.
"It's a prop for the cultural festival, "I'm Dead-kun.""
""I'm dead kun"?" Kyoko repeated.
"Just what I would expect from a Midori-middle!" Takeshi said.
"What the hell kind of cultural festival has a hearse outfit?" Gokudera said.
"Cultural festival? Oh!" Kyoko said nodding her head. I coughed.
"I can't believe she bought that…!" I said to myself.
"So, Kyoko-chan, what was the important thing you needed to tell me?" Tsuna asked changing the subject.
"Oh, right, I have a favor to ask of you."
"Huh? A favor?"
"Yes, I'd like you to-"
"Join the boxing club Sawada!" Tsuna and I let out a shriek at the sudden entrance of Kyoko's older brother.
"Dear lord…my heart… X_X…" I said scared out of my mind.
"Big brother! I though I told you to stay at home!"
"Yeah, but Sawada's the only one who's extreme enough to succeed me! I can't sit still when I think about it!" A burning flame appeared behind him. "I ran all the here after going around town three times!"
"T-Three?!" I gasped. The door bell rang again, this time it was a delivery man.
"There's a package for you Tsuna-Kun."
"Yeah, but…"
"He probably want's to talk to Ryohei Kyoko." I said resting my hands behind my head.
"Oh, then I'll go get it!" she said getting up.
"Thank you Shiriko!" Tsuna said, but his face fell once he looked at the body. "Now we can move the corpse!"
"Hey! Onii-san is back!" I said looking out the window. "And he's brought people!"
"For once I'm glad!" Tsuna said.
"We're here to get rid of the body." Hibari said appearing at the window again.
"I've had it with this guy!" Gokudera said dynamite at hand. "Die!" he threw them towards Hibari, but he just sent them back with a swing of his tonfa, causing an explosion inside Tsuna's room.
"Koyuki!" I yelled out, feeling for the carrier in the smoke, I found that he was just waking up, not disturbed at all. "You really are something little dude…"
"10th! Are you alright?" Gokudera said.
"I…I think so…"
"What are you doing carrying fireworks around?" Takeshi asked
"They aren't fireworks baseball nerd!" Haru gasped.
"The guy's body's gone!" she said looking in the rubble.
"What?!"
"Man…that was close…" A voice said, when the smoke cleared, it turned out to be the dead guy! That was not dead! "I mean really close!" he said sheepishly.
"Ahh! Zombie! I knew it!" I shouted. "Stay away from Yuki-chan!"
"He's not a zombie either Shiriko." Reborn said. "His name is Moretti, a heart stopper. He can stop his heart at will, causing him to go into a false death that's pretty convincing. He's a special operative for the Vongola family."
"So… he wasn't dead?" Tsuna said.
"Nope, just playing."
"One I arrived in Japan, I thought I could introduce myself by showing you what I could do Vongola tenth. Reborn was all for it." Moretti said.
"We could've just shaken hands!" All of a sudden Koyuki started crying.
"Aw, what's wrong little bro?" I cooed, picking him up, "Are you hungry? Haru, could you help me bring the bag downstairs?"
"Sure!"
"Now let's get you some milk, you guys play nice up here okay?" with Haru's help I went down the stairs, dragging Kyoko with me since I figured Tsuna wouldn't want her to see his room the way it was now. I rocked Koyuki in my arms quieting him down while the water boiled.
"Wow Shiriko, you're so lucky to have an adorable little brother like him!" Haru squealed.
"Yeah, and the way he quieted down when you held him was so touching! You're going to be a great mother one day." Kyoko said.
"Would one of you like to hold him while I get his bottle ready?"
"Ooh, ooh! Haru will!"
"Okay, make sure to hold his head up with your arms while you hold him." She nodded and I carefully passed him over to her. "You're a natural Haru." While they kept him busy I took out the formula and mixed it inside the bottle, then tested it on my hand. "Okay, okay, now hand the little guy over." I said taking a seat.
"Aww…" she passed him over to me and I held the bottle up to him while he drank it.
"Yup, I was right! ^_^"
"Hey, Kyoko, why don't we go and bring down the carrier?" Haru suggested.
"But, why?"
"Uh, I'm sure that he wants one of his toys, right??"
"But his toys are in-" before I could finish Haru dragged Kyoko back up the stairs, leaving me very confused.
"Haru is so weird -_-;"
"Got that right." Gokudera said taking a seat next to me.
"So that's why she wanted to leave…" I muttered.
"Man, the kid eats a lot…" he said poking Koyuki's nose.
"If he eats a lot now I can't wait to see him when he's older!" I grinned.
"Does he really look like us?" he suddenly asked.
"What do you mean?" a brush of pink tinted his cheeks.
"When Shamal said he was our kid…"
"Oh that? Well no, but he'll probably start looking like my mom or dad soon, but no matter what I'll still love 'em, speaking of which…" I felt my face turn red. "Well, I've been wanting to ask you something for a while…"
"Y-Yeah?"
"Would you…I mean you don't have to, but…would you mind…helping us raising Yuki-chan too?" he did a anime tilt.
"That's it?! You didn’t have any trouble asking Hibari!" I blinked.
"Well he's my Onii-san, you're different…"
"Oh yeah? Do tell." He grumbled playing with Koyuki's foot. I flicked him on the forehead.
"I shouldn't have to knuckle head." I looked down to see that the milk was all finished, I slung the towel over my shoulder and patted his back until I heard a burp, then a giggle. "Please I could beat that any day!" I said tickling him.
"Who taught you to be so good with kids?" Gokudera asked staring at me.
"My mom of course, both of them actually…" Koyuki yawned, already getting sleepy, I started rocking him to sleep,
"Whenever you are sad, when you've taken all the pain you can
Know that I'll always be here to take your hand
Guiding you through the loneliness that might ever strike your heart
Sleep soundly my little one
And drift away
Into the sweetest dreams
I'll always be here
Watching over you
To keep you safe
From any harm
That might ever come your way
We'll keep you safe from any harm that might ever come your way." I sang softly until I was sure he was asleep.
"That…that was beautiful Shiriko!" I heard Haru say with the carrier in hand, she sniffed and wiped her nose with a handkerchief. "A wonderful lullaby!" she placed the carrier on the table and ran out of the room, tears flowing freely from her eyes.
"O…kay…" I slowly stood up and placed Koyuki in the baby carrier. "Sweet dreams little dude." I whispered kissing his forehead.
"That was a nice song, did his mother teach you?" Gokudera asked.
"No, my biological mother and father used to sing it to me whenever I got scared they used to sing it to me, but I forgot most of the words so I had to improvise! ^_^"
"Heh, you really are something you know that?" he said running a hand through his hair.
"I'm a "Something"? Neat! I always thought I was a person."
"I'm not even going to bother. -_-" I grinned and put a hand on his shoulder.
"You've finally learned."
