“You little bitch! You’re fucking nothing to anyone! I don’t understand why anyone would let you stay in this fucking prick town! You stay here and live off of us when you know we hate you! God you’re a fucking slut! You hang out with those ugly guys. I bet your fucking all of them just to fit in! Fuck go live somewhere else!” He shouted pushing out the door. I turned around and looked him in the eyes with tears waiting to spill. “You’re worthless.” He said punching me in the face. He watched me fall as if it were a game. I stood up and took one more glance at him, just in time to see him spit in my direction. I ran, I ran as fast as my legs would let me. I ran four streets over, about two miles till I finally collapsed on the ground crying my eyes out. I felt two arms rap around me. I couldn’t breathe, I just held on to this person for my life. It felt like hours that we sat there. I didn’t even hear a car, and I still didn’t know who the person was. My tears slowed enough to look up only in time to see black hair. I pulled back to see Sonny’s concerned face.
“Victoria are you alright?” I shock my head no and he just hugged me tighter. I looked around and saw Matt sitting in the passenger’s side door staring at me. He tried to give me a small smile to let me know he was there for me, but it quickly went back to a frown. “Do you want to go back to Matt’s house?” Sonny asked me. I nodded my head yes, and Sonny helped me up and into Matt’s car. We drove a short distance with Sonny still holding onto me in the back seat. We walked into the house and up to Matt’s room. I laid down and quickly fell asleep.
I woke up the next morning to see Sonny sitting at the edge of the bed looking at the wall. “Sonny?” I asked. He shot up and can to hug me.
“Victoria are you alright?” he said looking at my bruised cheek. I shrugged and he continued “what happened last night?”
“My dad, he’s been like that since I was 14. I use to just go to friends houses so he wouldn’t hurt me, but I was to late this time. How’d you find me?”
“I heard the whole thing from my house. Then I saw you out side, and I ran after you. I didn’t want you to get hurt. Then I called Matt to come pick us up. We sat with you for a good two hours, Victoria.” Sonny said with a serious tone.
“Sonny, thank you. I don’t think any of my old friends would have done that. I really love you Sonny, you’re my best friend.” It’s hard to say that to him. We’ve known each other for almost two weeks. We’ve hung out everyday, and he’s getting me adjusted to a new school. I’ve never had a best friend before, but I’m sure we will be great.
Sonny’s P.O.V
“Sonny, thank you. I don’t think any of my old friends would have done that. I really love you Sonny, you’re my best friend.” I love you, no one has ever said that to me. I was always that annoying kid with the disgusting face. I’ve had a few girlfriends, but never love. I loved Victoria so much. I had a better relationship with her then I did with any of the guys, even Matt who tends to stay at my house without me knowing. My parents have never even said I love you. She’s the one that will change my life, I know it, and I love her. “I love you too, Victoria.”
Normal P.O.V
“You’re not gunna tell anyone about this, right?” I asked, even though I knew he would never tell.
“Victoria, I’d never tell. We might have to tell Matt because he picked us up, but I’d never tell.” He said.
“I don’t mind if Matt, Travis, and Derek know, I trust them. If it happens again they’d find out. And I’m sure they’ll notice my face.” I said pointing to my cheek.“So where is Matt? I mean we are in his house.”
“Ha he went to school. If he skips too much he’ll get suspended. That’s what happens with seniors in our school.” He smiled. “Do you want breakfast?”
“Not really. I’d rather just lay here.”
“Ok, well I’ll leave you alone then.” He said standing up.
“Sonny, I never said you couldn’t stay.” He smiled at me and laid down under the covers. I fell asleep with is arms around me.
