"You think I should go to it?" the young brown haired girl asked shifting in her seat. A man with dark brown hair sitting at the chair across from her.
"Yes, the therapy is perfect and some of your friends will be going," he said before standing up and putting his paperwork into his suitcase.
"I hope you go, TenTen," he said before leaving the room. She let out a long breath of air, he wanted her to go to therapy? What friends were going to go too? She stood up after she heard his car start and walked to her bedroom. It felt so empty here. She opened her desk droor and pulled out some scrolls and plopped them on her desk. Then she sat on the chair. None of her friends really knew her actually, after practice she would go straight home. She liked her team, team Gai. Expecially one person, Neji Hyuga. He was smart, a genious! He always acted tough and emotionless but he was nice. Although he didn't really show it till a year ago.
"To help those who have experienced difficult childhoods. Lost family members or were treated badly. This program was created to help them see the best in themselves. They will be put into a group with people like them," TenTen stopped reading. It was something her mom or dad should have read. But it was given to her. She looked up at the sun, almost time to go to the weapon shop. She picked up a few scrolls and put them into her kunai pouch along with some weapons. Then she locked up the house. Her parents weren't home, you could say. Then she ran to the shop.
"Hi TenTen," the elderly man said at the counter.
"Good morning," she replied still panting. After catching her breath she went up to the counter.
"I made some more explosive tags," she said putting fifty of them onto the counter.
"Oh good. Thank you dear," he said inspecting them, then he handed her a small amount of money.
"Thank you so much!" she said as she left. She turned and ran from the store to the flowershop. Her only friend worked there. She opened the door to feel the nice air conditioner. It was very humid today and the sun was blazing now.
"Oi, TenTen, what's new?" Ino asked putting some flowers into a vace.
"Not too much. I came to pick up some flowers," TenTen said looking through different boquets.
"What else is new?" she said and TenTen laughed. Yes she buys flowers alot.
"Who are they for?" Ino asked.
"Neji and Lee, they went on a duo mission and got pretty beat up. They're both in the hospital," TenTen said and Ino nodded.
"For Lee you should get these," Ino said pointing to some sunflowers.
"Yeah," TenTen replied. "May I have six of those?" Ino nodded.
"What are you going to get for Neji?" Ino asked as she rung up the sunflowers.
"Daisies," TenTen replied as she picked up a dozen of them. Then she handed them to Ino.
"So do you still like Neji?" Ino asked.
"That was just a silly genin crush, Ino," TenTen said as she picked up the flowers.
"You still like Neji," Ino replied.
"Just as a friend Ino," TenTen said. Ino shook her head and sighed.
"I'll see you later!" TenTen said before leaving the shop. She walked over to a small shop and bought some vaces. A simply glass one and a tinted blue one. After she purchesed them she went to the hospital.
"May I have Rock Lee's room number and Neji Hyuga's?" TenTen asked.
"One moment please," the lady behind the desk said. She pulled some papers out.
"Fourty-six and seventy-nine," she said.
"Thank you," TenTen replied and went to Lee's room. He was awake and arguing with the doctor about getting out of the hospital, saying youth was too short to spend it in a hospital bed.
"TenTen!" he called happily she smiled at him and put the blue vace beside his bed on the window.
"Sunflowers?" he asked.
"I thought you'd like them," she replied and he nodded.
"Thank you very much TenTen!" he said and she giggled.
"You're welcome Lee, how are you feeling?" she asked.
"I'm perfectly fine, they just won't let me out," he complained.
"You should rest a little bit," she responded before leaving the room, then she went to Neji's room. She slowly slid the door open. He was in deep sleep and a machine was connected to his left arm. TenTen walked in quietly and put the small glass vace in the window. Then she put the small daisies in it. They were simply white daisies, for some reason they always reminded her of Neji. She turned and saw his sleeping form. When she was younger she had thought she loved him. But that was silly, she didn't love him. She just cared for him as a good friend, nothing more.
"Sweet dreams," she whispered before leaving the hospital to continue with her erands.
Neji woke up feeling horrible. A needle stuck into his left arm and all around it felt numb. They got pretty badly hurt during that mission. He tried sitting up and after a few attempts did. Then he looked over to the sky, it was beautiful, he also noticed the small flowers in the window. TenTen always got them for him. Everytime he'd wake up in the hospital there would be a small glass vace of a dozen white daisies. She probably didn't know that he knew she did it. He saw her do it a few times ago, faining sleep.
"You're awake!" someone yelled by the door. He turned his head to his annoying green jumpsuit partner, Lee. Who had just ruined his perfect morning.
"Yes I am, now please go away," Neji said monotone.
"He's missing again!" a nurse yelled from down the hall.
"Patient in room fourty-six has excaped again!" a docter yelled. Neji sighed.
"I should go," Lee said before slipping out of the door. Neji turned his attention back to the flowers. He always wondered about TenTen. She was so mysterious. She would arive to training on time everyday and go as soon as it was over. She never talked about her family or anything. He never even heard her complain before. She was pretty with her long brown hair, well he asumed it was long, he had never seen her with it down. She always arrived with it up in two tight buns. Yes, TenTen was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.
"Is this the ninja's therapy meeting?" TenTen asked shyly. She had taken his advice and went. After debating over it for two weeks. Neji and Lee were out of the hospital and back to training everyday.
"Yes it is, your name?" the lady asked, her glasses on the tip of her pointy nose and her black hair pulled up into a tight bun with grey hairs sticking out.
"TenTen," she replied.
"The room to the left," the lady said simply. TenTen thanked her then slowly walked to the room and opened it. She was suprised at everyone who was there. Sasuke, Gaara, Sakura, Hinata, Naruto, Shikamaru, and Neji. Neji! She felt relief that he was also here. Wait why would he be here? She sunk into a chair beside her teammate.
"Why are you here Neji?" she asked.
"I could ask you the same," he replied. She didn't know how to reply to that so she kept quiet. The man who had come to her house two weeks before came into the room and sat down in a chair. The chairs were set up in a circle and he was at the head.
"I'm glad you all came," he said. Everyone looked around the circle.
"Why don't you start with saying your name. Then tell everyone about the bad things that have happened to you, and how you feel."
"Who should start?" Sakura asked.
"Why not you," the man said and Sakura cleared her throat.
"I'm Sakura Haruno, my mom sent me here because she says I have a silly crush on a guy. But I told her I don't and that I'm in love with him, but she didn't believe me. And I feel depressed that she made me come here," Sakura said. He nodded his head up and down.
"Next to the left," he said.
"Shikamaru Nara. My mom sent me here because she doesn't want me to end up an alcaholic like my dad. I feel tired," he said leaning back into his chair.
"Alright next," he said. Hinata stiffened in her chair.
"I-I H-hinata Hyuga. My d-dad doesn't r-realise me and h-he's making m-my little sister the h-head of the c-clan," she said and he nodded.
"Next," he said.
"Naruto Uzumaki! I don't know my parents and grew up hated because the nine tailed fox is inside me," he said and he nodded.
"Next," he said.
"Gaara. My dad sealed a demon inside me and I killed my own mother. After a while my father sent my uncle to kill me. I don't feel anything," Gaara said.
"Alright, next," he said.
"Uchiha, Sasuke. My older brother killed my whole clan and left only me. Then he tried to kill my best friend," Sasuke said.
"Next," the man said.
"Neji Hyuga. My mother died in child birth. My uncle killed my father and I am a branch member, stripped of all my rights and looked down upon," he said. TenTen took a deep breath, she was next.
"Okay, Next," the man said.
"TenTen. I don't know my last name. My parents died during the attack of the nine tailed fox. Then I was sent to live with a man to be taken care of. I lived with him known as a Uchiha untill the Uchiha masacre. After his death I was taken care of by the third hokage untill his death when I moved into my own house where my parents used to live. I feel happy," she said before taking a long breath of air. Now everyone knew about her. Neji more of stared at her. He didn't know all that happened to her. He always thought that she was a ordinary girl.
"Well, it looks like you're all done for today. Just remember you're not the only one with these promlems," he said getting up and left the room. TenTen looked toward the door. That was completely useless! She screamed in head before leaving through the door also. She walked quickly to the direction of the park. Neji watched TenTen untill she left the room and quickly stood up and followed her. He caught up to her and put a hand on her shoulder. She shrieked in suprise but stopped when she saw him.
"Neji?" she asked.
"I'm sorry I said that, TenTen," he said. She felt butterflys flying in her stumach and she swalowed. She did not have a crush on him! She did not love him! It was just a silly childs crush.
"I love you TenTen," Neji said. TenTen's whole train of thought fell of the tracks and crashed. He just said... holy crap! Then he hugged her. She was too suprised to even move.
"I love the little things you do. The daisies you always put by my bed. The packed lunches for Lee and me. Just your smile," he said and she smiled in his warm embrace.
"I love you too Neji. I've loved you since the chunin exams," she replied. No, it wasn't a crush it was love. She had fallen in love with him. She had loved him not a silly crush. Ino was right, yet not right. To her suprise Neji pulled the ties out of her hair and her long brown hair fell to her shoulders. He just stared at her before hugging her again. She smiled into his shoulder and he put his face into the crook of her kneck.
"TenTen," he said breathing in the smell of her hair.
"Yes?" she asked.
"About your last name-" he started.
"I'm sorry, I dont know it," she replied.
"No, I mean... what if you could know it?" he asked her. She stared at him confused and he pulled away.
"I mean what if you took on the name Hyuga?" he asked. Now she was utterly confused. Take the name Hyuga? Was that possible? It sounded nice after her name she had to admit. TenTen Hyuga. But wait, what would that do to Neji and her?
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"Well, I can't think of a easy way to say this...." he said.
"Just say it like you would normally say it," she responded. He took a deep breath.
"TenTen, would you mind marrying me?" he asked monotone and her mouth hung slightly open.
"Y-you mean? Like marry you? Like husband and wife?" she said shocked, not putting thoughts together right.
"Yes, I'm asking you to marry me," he said and she smiled and jumped into his arms.
"Yes!" she squeeled.
"You are the most amazing woman I've ever met Mrs. Hyuga," Neji said laying casually on the bed next to his wife. His wife smiled next to him, her long brown hair down and slightly curly. She turned to the side and tucked a chunk of his hair behind his ear.
"TenTen Hyuga, I like the sound of that," she responded and he tucked a curl behind her ear.
"Me too," he replied a smile on his own lips.
