Nick and I were sitting in his room messing around when that adorable brother of his came in.
"Hey Frankie!" I said getting up to go over and hug him.
"Maddy!" he exclaimed and came towards me.
"You wanna come play with me?" he asked, tugging on my sleeve.
"I'm hanging out with Nick right now but if you want, I'll play with
you when I'm done." he smiled and nodded his head violently.
He scurried off and left an awkward silence behind him.
"Soo." Nick said.
"Will you play me a song?" I asked him.
"Uhh, sure. What do you want to hear?"
"I dunno, play anything." I smiled encouragingly.
He walked over to the other side of the room and picked up an
acoustic guitar.
Clearing his throat, he began to strum a few chords before really
getting into it.
He closed his eyes as he started to sing a beautiful melody.
I watched his fingers move around the strings to produce the
harmonious sounds I was hearing.
My gaze averted upwards, watching his lips move with the words he
was singing.
Slowly my eyes drifted up towards his eyes.
Even though they weren't open, you could still see the emotion
behind them.
While he was singing, he would sometimes scrunch up his forehead,
squinting his already closed eyes.
After he finished, my ears were ringing from the silence that fell
over the both of us.
I just stared into his all-telling brown eyes, getting washed away far
from here.
He smiled nervously, waiting for me to say something.
I wanted to kiss him right then and there, but I held myself back.
"Nick, that was beautiful. I loved it." he sighed with relief, looking
down at his feet.
At that moment, Joe came running into the room.
He looked like he just took 6 shots of adrenaline.
"Guys guess what!!!" he shouted, now jumping up and down.
"No why don't you just tell us before you explode with excitement."
I said laughing lightly.
"THE PIZZA KEVIN ORDERED IS ONLY GOING TO TAKE 20 MINUTES
TO GET HERE!!!!" he yelled happily.
"Wow. Maybe you should go stand outside and wait for it so the
delivery guy doesn't bring your pizza to the wrong house." I said,
smirking.
"SWEET!!" he exclaimed, sprinting from the room.
Nick and I laughed at his obnoxious brother.
"So, since I'm new around here, you wanna show me the nearest
movie theatre around here and come see a movie with me?" Nick
asked somewhat nervously.
I put a finger to my chin and acted like I was thinking about.
In reality, there was no way it would take me more than 3 seconds
to respond with a 'HELLZ YEAH!' but I refrained.
"Hmm...I guess I could squeeze you in." I smiled.
"Oh, lucky me!" he said playing along.
