Kaworu smiled. “No.” he said looking at Asuka. “I like you, Cassie.”

You blushed at hearing that, “But…Asuka said-”

“Are you really going to believe what Asuka says?” he asked calmly walking away and back over to Shinji and the others.

You turned to face Asuka, “Is it true?” you whispered. “Is Kaworu…” you couldn’t bring yourself to say it.

“Bi?” Asuka said comforting.

You laughed and playfully shoved Asuka. “No. Gay.” you said.

“No way.” she said wrapping her arm around you as you walked inside to change back into your uniform.

After school was out, you, Asuka, and Shinji were walking home together, when you felt a hand on your shoulder. “Hey Cassie” Kaworu said smiling. You gasped and moved away so you weren’t by him. He frowned and started talking with Shinji.

You turned to Asuka and frowned. ‘What the hell?’ Asuka mouthed.

‘I don’t know…’ you mouthed back sadly.

Asuka smiled and pushed you into Kaworu, you started to fall but you felt arms wrap around your hips. You looked behind you and saw that Kaworu had caught you. He pulled you tight against his body, and you gasped. He smiled and leaned in to kiss you when you pulled away from him. “I got to go.” you said running towards your house.

“What the hell is wrong with you!?” Asuka yelled as you opened the door when she knocked. “He almost kissed you!” she said angrily sitting on the couch, and taking off her shoes.

“I know, but I can’t kiss him now.” you said quietly.

“Why not?” Asuka said, standing up. “You’ve liked him since like forever.”

“I know but now… he’s gay…” you looked up at Asuka. “Gay.” you repeated.

“Your dumb.” Asuka said rudely. She walked over to your kitchen. “He’s obviously straight if he likes you!”

You walked over to the couch and picked up Asuka’s shoes and set them by the door. “Well he was gay once, and he’s probably dreamt of kissing Shinji with the lips he tried to kiss me with…”

“So? Your point?”

“My point is, that, Kaworu’s gay…not straight…he likes GUYS.” you sighed and sat on the counter. “Gay.” you repeated again.

“I still think you should’ve let him kiss you. It was so romantic to! I mean he caught you, and then pulled you tight…” her voice drifted away as she saw a picture of you, her, and Shinji as little kids, “You still have this?” she asked.

You walked over to where she was standing and smiled. “Yeah, but don’t show Kaworu, he might freak out over Shinji.” you said frowning.

Asuka growled. “Cassie!” she moaned. “Give it a rest!”

You laughed and stared at the picture.
