Ivy ( vampire love story)
Chapter 5 : Ivy (vampire love): Chapter 4: Plans
I rolled over onto my side and looked at my clock. It was 9am on a Saturday. For the past 3 days, I had ignored David, embarrased that I hadn't kissed him. I sighed and rolled on my back. Natalie comes home tommorow. Just in time for the dance next weekend. I wasn't really sure if I was going to go, but Natalie would drag me there anyway against my will. I rolled over again to face my window. I gasped. There, attatched to the latch on the window, was a red rose, with a black lace ribbon around the stem. It was beautiful. But who would have sent it? David? No he wouldn't send me a rose. Would he? I took the rose carefully from the latch, and laid it on my nightstand. Then, I took a shower and got ready to go shopping with Natalie. She had come back from her vacation, adn wanted to shop with me even though she probably spent half of her parents pay check in France, but I wasnt complaining. It woud be nice to get out of the house. I put on a pair of skinny jeans and a black t-shirt. I threw my hair in a ponytail and went out the door. Then, walked back in the door because I forgot my purse. An hour later I was sitting in a small cafe with Natalie, talking about none other than, David. Actually, itwas more like arguing with her. "Wouldn't you think its just a little creepy if a guy painted a picture of you sleeping, after watching you sleep?" I asked, exasperated. We were arguing over the whole David thing. "Not if he only watched me sleep becuase he had walked me back to my dorm to make sure I was safe." She said. "But, I barely know him." "I've seen the picture, Rose, its gorgeous and not just 'cuase its you," She argued, "He likes you, and let's face, you like him too." I didn't want to tell her about the almost kiss because I knew he liked me. It was obvious with everything that had happened in the past week. The only problem was that I wasnt sure if I wanted to like him. I mean I really liked him, but I didn't want to admit it. I don't know why. I guess I'm just afraid to date, or I just don't want to let Natalie win the argument. She looked at me waiting for an answer. I stared her down and then sighed. "All right, I know he likes me ok?" I said, "he tried to kiss me a few days ago." "OH MY GOD!!!!" she practically screamed. That probably wasn't very smart since we were indoors, and got a few stares, but she didn't sm to notice. "Calm down!" I hissed, "I never kissed him, I sort of..ran away before he could." She glared at me. "What?" I asked. "A super hott guy tries to kiss you, and you RUN AWAY?" luckily she didnt exactly scream this time. I flinched. What the hell was her problem? Damn, you would think it was her life we were talking about here. "Well, I'm not sure if I exactly like him..." I said unconvincingly. Shrugging, I continued, "It doesn't matter anyway, I ran away, and now we haven't spoken in 3 days. You could say that I blew it." "You don't know if you've blown it unless you talk to him." "I don't want to talk to him. It'll be akward." "Fine, we'll make you look amazing for the dance, and than he'll want to talk to you." She smiled. I glared, but agreed. "Fine." "Yay!" She squealed, " Now, we have to go shopping." As if she didn't have enough bags already.

We hadn't spoken in 3 days. This was getting ridiculous. I needed to talk to her, to see her smile. I gave her the rose. After her name, and it also seemed ilke a good flower to give her. I didn't leave a note, so she probably didn't know it was from me. But she was smart, she would figure it out. I hope. I groaned frustrated. How was I supposed to get her to talk to me again? I couldn't just look for her in towns, she already thought I was creepy enough. But where? The dance. It would be perfect. She wouldn't assume that I had come only for her, and she would look amazing.

I waited in the evening dorms hallways for David. I found out where his dorm room was from my roommate who was obssesed with him. I had sent him a note saying that I wanted to meet him at the bridge adn that I was friend of Rose's Finally, I could see him walking towards me. He was totally hott, and gorgeous, but I wanted Rose to be with him. Besides, he obviously liked her, and there would be other guys for me. He looked confused and slightly disapointed when he saw that it was me. Only me.
"So, what am I meeting you here for?" He asked.
"Well, I'm Rose's best friend, and I want you two to get together. So I'm here to help." I smlied.
He raised his eyebrows. This guy obviously wasn't a talker.
"I just came to tell you that she's going to the dance and that you better make a move."
"I was already planning on it." And he walked away. Then turned around, "But thanks for the heads up, at least I know shes going." He has such a quiet voice, even for a guy. Deep, but quiet. It also surprised me that he was plannig to make a move at the dance. I mean I knew he liked her, but he didn't really ever talk to anyone in the evening class, and seemed really shy. Maybe he was just a loner. Either way, I was happy that Rose finally had something to llok forward to, even if she didn't exactly know that she did.
