Pretty Pyrotechnics || Deidara || One-Shot

Created by -Kiwi- on Wednesday, July 30, 2008

Okay, I know the title is majorly cliché with Deidara stories and whatever. But really, I couldn’t think of anything else… I mean… Boom Bang etc is so much more overused. But here you are, I hope you like it. : )

Haha, okay, the chicks a sort-of pervert. But don’t worry, there’s nothing naughty in here, so all you little 13-year-olds can rest easy. And… I am kind of making fun of his sentence stoppers in here since she has some of her own. : ) Yeahhp

Sorry, no time for banner!!

The sky was filled with light cherries, gingers and amethysts, all blending together in a brilliant hugh as the darkening sun dipped low behind the horizon. The smoldering colors merged together to spread a dazzling oil painting in the sky. Rai always loved the end of the day when the sky was at it’s most beautiful, when all the gorgeous colors illuminated the earth in all its splendor. She had always wanted to create something that would forever show the beauty of the setting sun.

She stared up at the dimming sun, not only a sliver being shone to her as it fell from the sky, resting for another day. She smiled, her fingers playing with the small pouch she had tied to her waist, the familiar scent ringing through her senses. She opened the pocket enough to sneak in two fingers, digging around in the powdery substance. She smiled, rubbing matter between her fingertips before taking her hand out and tying the purse once again.

Rai was just about to haul herself to her feet when a rumbling explosion was heard in the distance, followed by debris from the bystanding forest to come barreling down around her. The ground shook beneath her, causing her balance to give way and she fell back down, the parts of the forest now scattered out around her, looking like a battle scene of woodland people had just taken place.

She looked up, her aqua colored orbs absorbing the large gap of dust rising from the tops of the trees. Raising an eyebrow she jumped up once again, bracing herself for another impact and took off in a run through the forest. Her legs carried her toward the cloud of dust, the crunching of leaves and snapping of twigs following her as she sped by. The foliage became a blur as she got closer, the trees thinning out from the blast. Her dark chocolate hair flew behind her, getting caught every now and then on the branches that had grown out, along with her legs and stomach, which were hardly covered.

When she reached the site her eyes landed on a huge crater in the earth, the dirt and grime had settled, leaving limbs as far as the eye could see. She scanned the perimeter, searching with her own Chakra to find any survivors. Survival seemed hopeless, until her inner sight fell upon a body, laying on the ground, neither scathed nor torn, but peacefully sleeping their strength back from exhaustion.

She began walking toward them, her eyes coming up on a long body clad in black and red. The color of the cape was tall, shading his face from first glance. Long, blonde hair wisped all around his fallen cadaver, his eyes closed and arms outstretched to cover him as his chest rose and fell comfortably. She just gave a grin when she saw the headband, a familiar, permanent slice going through the symbol of his homeland. It was much like her own, though she suspected he didn’t slice it himself as she had.

Poor thing exhausted himself. Probably the one who did this… or helped at least. She thought as she bent down to the unconscious man, brushing his golden locks from his pale face, watching in amusement as he twitched his nose, smiled and then mumbled something unintelligible before shifting his weight and rolling over toward her more. She rolled her eyes, smirk still on her lips as she threw an arm around her shoulder, watching with interest as the palm of his hand was flipped to her, showing the closed line of a tiny mouth.

So many possibilities… Rai continued to stare at his upturned palm, grinning mischievously as she hoisted him up to stand beside her, dragging him up the slope of the crater and deeper into the forest toward her makeshift home. There was no reason to hurry, no one else was left alive, he had been the lucky one, coming out with only a case of drained energy and tired eyes.

The forest was a dark marauder now, the twilight hour had finally approached. It didn’t faze Rai at all however, she had been there long enough to know the layout quite well. They had reached her small abode quicker than she expected, but was grateful due to the growing numbness the man’s weight played on her side. She quickly hauled him into the small, one roomed hut, dumping him carefully on the small bed she had slept on for the past six months. She set him in a comfortable position and then grabbed a blanket, pulling it onto his overworked body with ease, and then sat down herself, moving him over so there was room enough on the bed for her to lay down as well, and then placed another blanket over herself, snuggling under the covers and drifting off to sleep.

Deidara woke up to a dimly lit room. His body ached and his shoulders were stiff as he tried to maneuver himself around to take in his surroundings. A small one room home was all he could come to terms with, the one, lonely window covered by a thick curtain, one that didn’t seem to be big enough to block out all the light from the sun, not that there was much due to the thick flora that surrounded the shelter from outside.

He moved his hand, the small, thin lips on his palm coming in contact with something soft and kneading. Without thinking he gripped it with his fingertips, letting them dance around as he tried to remember what had happened previous to him laying on a bed. Suddenly the softness under his fingers began to squirm around, soon accompanied by a mirage of soft giggles.

He looked down next to him, seeing a young woman, half asleep under his hand. The same fingers that had been dancing along her bare skin had been tickling her, and soon, a long, pink tongue came out from the mouth on his hand, licking the skin, causing her to laugh louder. She then sat up with a jolt, looking around before her eyes landed on him.

“Ah, so I see you’re up.” She said, her voice was teasing, though sweet, like a familiar candy he would eat as a child.

“Who are you, un?” He asked, his eyes narrowing suspiciously at the beauty beside him. Never trust a stranger, it was something he had been forced to learn when he was threatened into joining the Akasuki. He would never make that mistake again.

“The names Rai. Don’t worry, I don’t want anything from you, hell, I don’t even know who you are.” Was his answer, his fingers gently being taken away from her stomach and set on his lap as she kicked her feet off the side of the small bed and stretched her arms over her head.

Deidara couldn’t help himself as he watched her stretch, the muscles in her back tightening and retracting, making him wish his fingertips could waltz around her abdomen again.

“Do you want anything to eat, love?” She asked, looking back at him, her aqua eyes leaving him in a trance. Minutes went by in silence, the blonde man only staring into the beautiful aqua orbs of the woman who had brought him to her home to recuperate.

“Are you alright there, hun? Do you need to lay down again?” she asked, confusion showing in her eyes. He quickly snapped out of his daze, shaking his head, long, blonde hair flying everywhere, the strong strands whipping her in the face. She only laughed as he apologized profusely, her laughter gaining volume at the cherry color his cheeks turned. “You’re fine, dear. Now, are you hungry or not?” She crossed her arms over her chest, and he tried to keep his eyes focused on hers, though it was severely hard to do since her body was hardly clad in anything.

“Sure, un.” He said offhandedly, swinging himself off the bed from the other side. She smiled at him, getting up and walking over to the small kitchen area of the shed. She made what she had and then handed him a plate, the two sitting on the small bed in silence. “By the way, the names, Rai, dear.” She said, looking back at him for his answer.

“Deidara.”

“Well, mind if I ask you a question, love?” She asked, turning her body toward the black clad ninja.

“Sure, un. I am pretty interesting, yeah.” He said, sending a grin her way. Rai returned it, situating herself and crossing her legs.

“How did you end up in a crater, hmm?”

“I blew it up, yeah.”

“How?” She asked, eyes widening as she moved in closer to his face. Deidara laughed showing her the palm of her hands. She raised an eyebrow and looked at him.

“I thought those were used for something else, but, go on, love.” She said, biting her bottom lip at the thought of his hands. He laughed but shook his head.

“They mold my clay, and I infuse my chakra into them, then on my signal… BOOM! They explode, yeah.” He said, waving his hands for effect. Her eyes went wide and her mind rushed with ideas before she grabbed onto his shoulders and stared at him.

“Deidara, you like to blow things up?” He nodded his head, causing her to grin.

“Then lets have some fun, love!”

“Are you ready, Deidara?” Rai asked, her eyes wide and happy as they looked at the disappearing blonde.

“Of course I am, yeah! Just say when, un.” He said, his accent sending quivers through her body.

“When!” she yelled, watching Deidara snap his wrist and a loud boom sounded, the colored gun powder she had made blasting up and catching fire from the large blast the clay had caused.

“Deidara! It’s beautiful love!” Rai screamed as the two looked up at the dazzling array of colors, greens blues and white all mixing together in a shocking wave of lights in the sky. He nodded, looking over at her just as she looked over at him, a wide grin on her face. Without warning she launched herself at him, wrapping her arms around his neck as her bare legs found their way to his fit waist. He was ready, his hands holding onto the bare skin of her own abdomen, the mouths on his palms tickling her sides with their tongues. She smiled at the blonde and dipped her head, their lips interlocking as another set of fireworks blew off in the distance…
