NOW on with the story =]

Story

I gasp for breath when he leaves my lips and trail kisses to my neck. On instinct I lean my head to the side. I feel his warm breath on my neck and I moan quietly. At that point I knew I wanted to be with him forever, nothing to separate us.

"This is the second time I walk into the room with you two doing this." Says a voice at the door.

Gabriel and I both separate from each other and turn to look at the person who was leaning against the door. I sigh in relief when we find Gabriel’s father there, but then suddenly blush. I was at least thankful it wasn’t anyone else, but he still saw us kissing.

“How long were you standing there?” Gabriel asked, his arm still around my waist holding me to him.

“Long enough.” The king says. “So, when is the wedding?”

Silence followed his question. I could have sworn I heard Gabriel growl quietly next to me when he asked this. “She just agreed to say yes, we still have to plan it out privately. Then we will tell you what the dates are.” Gabriel says, breaking the silence.

The king just nods and turns to walk out the door. I couldn’t help but sigh in relief when he was gone. I look up to see Gabriel looking down on me. He smiles at me and I smile back.

He lets go of my waist and slips his hands under me so he is carrying me bridal style. He looks down at me with a mischievous smile on his lips. I opened my mouth to ask what he was up to, but he takes a step and soon we were off running at a breath taking speed.

My eyes couldn’t adjust to the speed so everything looked like a blur as we ran. I smiled foolishly like a little kid because that’s how I felt. After a few seconds we were back in the bedroom I woke up in. Gabriel walked over to the bed and set me down softly.

“I’m sorry to leave you, but I have things that need to be done. You are welcome to walk around the castle anywhere you like. This is your home now.” He says with a smile. He leans down and gives me a quick peck on the lips before heading out of the door.

I watch him leave out the door and once the door was closed shut, I lie back on the bed and sigh. His last words were still ringing through my head. My home, this is my home now. I close my eyes and try to picture what my future would be like, but it came up blank. Normally predicting what it would be like would be easy, but not in this case. Gabriel was a vampire, and I didn’t know what it would be like. Would I be a completely different person? Would I lose control of myself? I shudder at the possibility of me taking an innocent human being.

I get up from the bed and walk over to the closet. I grab some clean clothes from the well organized shelves and head to the bathroom. I set my clothes on the countertop and look in the mirror. The same girl was starring back at me. The girl that shown loneliness in her eyes. Her blank expression and pale face made her seem like a ghost but alive.

I tear my eyes away from the mirror and trip of my clothes and hop in the shower. I turn the knob until the water is hot, it burning against my skin. I wash my body off, trying to wash away all my problems with it. I knew I should be happy with the life I now have, I do, but the other half of me feels like this is just another stage in my life where I will later regret. It has been like that many times throughout my life.

I shut the water off and grab my towel. I quickly dry myself off and put on my new clothes, a plain black t-shirt and jeans. I dry my hair off with the towel then I take my dirty clothes and wrap them up in the towel. I didn’t have comb with me so I left it down and messy. I take the bundle and stick it in the corner of the bathroom, not knowing if I should put it there or not.

I walk out of the bathroom and out of my room into the hallway. Gabriel said I was free to walk around the house, so that’s what I was going to do. I remember if I went left, it would somehow take me to the kitchen one way or another, so I went right.

I walked the halls quietly and curiously. The paintings and furniture look ancient but strong and sturdy. The rugs that I walked on looked to good and precious for me to be walking on, but thankfully I was walking with socks on. At the end of hallway there was a staircase. I went up the stairs, each step I took getting closer to the top.

Once I was at the top, I paused. This hallway was much darker, and had an eerie feeling to it. I walked down the hall and stopped in front of a black door. Gabriel never said I couldn’t enter any doors, so I should be fine. I raise my hand to turn the knob and step inside. It was dark and eerie, and the furniture looked even older, and more untouched.

I walk over to the window on one side of the room. It was too clouded with dust to see anything through it. I step back and walk over to a bookcase, the floor creaking slightly as I walk. There were a good number of books on the old shelf; none of the titles caught my interest.

I turn away from the bookcase and over to the desk in the middle of the room. It was more of an office now that I got a look around, chairs positioned to face the desk, a name tag, a computer. I pause and look back at the name tag.

Michael Roberts.

That name was really familiar, but I couldn’t point out where I know it. I leave the nametag and walk around the desk to sit in the chair. The black leather chair was really comfy. Michael must’ve needed a good one to be in this office all day. There was dust everywhere on the desk, except for one thing that caught my eye.

A golden apple lay still on the desk. It was odd how a simple apple alone had no dust. I raise my hand and close it around the apple. I heard a sudden jerk and I spun around taking my hand off the apple just in time to see the bookcase slid open to reveal a stairway.

I nervously got off the chair and headed towards the new path I uncovered. I didn’t know if I was supposed to be going down there but I was curious. Like some people say, curiosity killed the cat.

I walk down the stone stairway. It looked like it came out of a fairy tale book. There was a spot on the wall that looked like a torch was supposed to be there. Even with no light, I head down the stairs, using the wall to guide me.

When I think I got to the bottom, there was a silhouette of door in the darkness. I walk through it and suddenly the room was lit up like there were motion-censors in the ceiling.

I glance around the room and froze.

There were guns and weapons hung up on the wall throughout the whole room, like a torture chamber, but somehow it didn’t seem like it was. There were cases holding some guns, and labels on the boxes. It was more of a storage room for weapons.

I walk a little more into the room and spot another desk in the corner. I started to walk over to the desk, but something hanging on the wall caught my eye. I squint trying to se better, and when I realized what it was, I stopped. I can feel my lungs tighten and my head running with all these emotions.

I walked toward the picture on the wall slowly, and when I am a few feet away from it, studying all the details the picture has to offer, I can feel my eyes beginning to tear up. It was a picture of two people, a father and his daughter. It was taken at a beach on a sunny day. The little girl was wearing a pink swim suit while the guy was wearing board shorts. The little girl looked to be only 4, the guy late twenties. The guy had the little girl in his arms, holding her with one arm and with the other arm he was pointing at the camera, telling the little girl to look at it.

A silent tear rolled down my cheek. I realized who owned all of this stuff, where he used to disappear off to every summer. My heart was hammering in my chest now as I just figured out the secret live he had.

Michael Roberts. The name was ringing through my head, clawing its way through my memories.

I stare back up at the picture of me and my father.

Mwuahahahahhaha lol. I wanted to write about Melanie's father. I havent been mentioning him alot and i felt bad. =[ lol so there it is. MESSAGE RATE BANNERS. tell me what you think. and tell me if i should continue this story. now im going to go eat skittles. lol i just got over the flu and im already piggin out :P
