RECAP
“What are you looking at?” I said blushing.
“You. You are so beautiful,” he said putting his hand on the back of my neck and kissing my lips.
He laid me down on the bed still kissing me.
“I really liked last night. We should do that again,” Bill said.
“I totally agree,” I replied as we continued kissing.
END RECAP
You know that feeling you get when you've just been on a terrifying roller coaster that you never wanted to ride and you're so glad it's finally over? Well that's how I feel right now.
I just walked out of the courtroom where I told my story once again about my life with my parents. I was absolutely terrified sitting there in the stand. The people I called my parents shooting daggers at me as I told the judge everything.
I was so relived when it was over.
As I stood there with Bill, Tom and their parents, I still had tears running down my face. I couldn't help but cry. Both from sadness because of my parents, and from happiness because it was finally over. I never had to see them again.
I cried into Bill's chest as he held me.
"It's okay. It's all over now," he said, trying to comfort me.
I felt a hand rubbing my back and then Tom's voice say, "It's okay Iris. Let's go home now."
I nodded and wiped my tears as Bill removed his arm from around me and took my hand. We walked out of the courthouse and got in Tom's car, Bill sitting in back with me.
"Ya know, I'm kinda hungry," Tom said as he started the car.
"When are you not?" Bill said receiving a glare from his brother.
"Shut up. So where do you wanna go to get something to eat?" Tom asked looking at me.
I guess that means he wants me to decide.
"Well, I'm kinda craving pizza right now," I said.
"Off to the pizzeria it is!" Tom exclaimed as he pulled out of the parking lot and onto the street.
Once we got there we all got out of car, Bill grabbing my hand, and walked inside. We found a booth by window and sat down, chatting while we waited for our server.
Pretty soon a girl with long brown hair (who was very pretty I might add) came to our table.
"Hi my name's Teagan, and I'll be your server tonight. What can get you to drink?"
As she asked this I couldn't help but notice Tom practically drooling over her. So I kicked him from under the table.
"Ouch!" He yelled, getting a confused look from Teagan.
We told her our drinks and she went to get them.
"What the hell was that for?" Tom asked as she walked away.
"Because you were drooling over her, and you looked retarded. If she had noticed she probably would have thought you were a freak," I said.
"Oh," was all he said.
Teagan came back with our drinks and asked what kind of pizza we wanted.
We got cheese! My favorite!
Once we were done eating she gave us our check.
Tom grabbed it before anyone else could.
"I'm paying," he stated as he pulled out his wallet and put a credit card on the plastic thing the check was on.
Teagan came back and took it from Tom.
When she came back again she handed Tom his card and a small piece of paper.
Tom unfolded the paper as she walked away.
A very large smile appeared on his face after looking at it.
"What is it?" Bill asked.
Tom handed over the paper to show Bill and I and we realized why he was so happy.
On the paper was Teagan's name, a phone number, the words "call me", and a little heart.
Bill handed it back to Tom and rolled his eyes, smiling.
I laughed.
"You're lucky she didn't notice you drooling over her. If she did, you totally wouldn't have her number," I said as we walked out and got in the car.
When we got home, Tom ran upstairs with his cell phone in hand.
"Well, we know what he's gonna be doing all night," Bill said.
"Yeah we do," I replied yawning. "I'm really tired."
"Then we should go to bed. You've had a stressful day," Bill replied, kissing my forehead and taking my hand, leading me upstairs into the room we shared.
