I couldn't believe my ears. The first Chunin exam was a written test?! I wouldn't know any of the answers!

However, about a half hour after it began, a bright idea struck me.

I used the art of the doppleganger at the same time as the Ryukogan. The result was that my doppleganger sat there staring at the paper and tapping a pencil on the while I floated, free of time, there but not really there.

I came up behind Kori (Itachi). Even though we were still using the art of transformation, I always imagined Itachi as he really was, with his long black hair and cold black eyes. Sigh.....

Once I memorized his test answers, I went back to my seat, disposing of my doppleganger and returning to time in the same moment.

After I finished writing down the answer on the exam paper, there was still five minutes till they gave us the final question. I thought about the time Itachi, Kisame, and I had spent together, They had both trained me, although Itachi was a better teacher then Kisame. He was much more patient. Still, I thought of them both as my friends. Especially Itachi...

I shook my head. I had to stop thinking about him. I looked up at the exam proctor, Morino Ibiki. He announced “ Whoever wants to become a Chunin stays. But if you get the question wrong, you can never become one.”

There was a collective gasp from around the room. Several people started to mutter nervously.

Ibiki continued “You can leave now if you want. But you're whole team will fail with you.”

The teams began to leave, one by one. Finally there were only a few left.

“Alright I take it that all of you are staying?” asked Ibiki.

“You bet we are!” exclaimed a short, blond boy from Konoha. “Believe it!”

“Well then, you all pass!” Ibiki proclaimed.

“YES!!!” I cried ecstatically. We did it! We passed the first Chunin exam!
