The Mission of a Lifetime. (A Shino Aburame One-Shot)

It was a late Autumn night and you walked towards your home in Konoha. The wind chilled your body although it was always cold. As you approached the house, you saw a little firefly sitting on your doorknob. You walked up emotionlessly to the door, unlocked, and carefully turned the handle so you could go in and get some rest. You wandered through to your bedroom and collapsed on to the papa-san chair. You listened to the pitter-patter of the rain as you drifted off to sleep.
The next morning when you awoke, the sun was just rising. You got up and got ready to train. Unfortunately for you, you were on Team 7. (no, you aren't going to be on Shino's team...)
You walked up to your teamates and leaned against a tree while you waited for Kakashi to make his appearance. "Hello everybody," he greeted as he approached. "Today we are meeting Team 8 and training with them."
You rolled your eyes, but didn't argue like Naruto. "BUT WHY DO WE HAVE TO TRAIN WITH THEM?!?!?!"
"Because I said so."
"This isn't fair! Why should we have to train with those lazy-bums?!"
"You're the lazy-bum, Naruto!" you snapped getting annoyed with his complainig.
"WHAT?!"
"You heard me. Now SHUT UP!"
Naruto quieted down, but continued mumbling to himself. 'That baka. I hate having to be on the same team as him. Oh great. Now I get to train with hyper #2 and little miss shy. Just my luck...' you sighed.
You approached the team and shortly after you got there, you started to train. Every five minutes, you would change people. One person trained with Kurenai each time because your team had 4 members instead of the usual 3. The last person you trained with was none other that Shino Aburame. After that pointless training, they alerted you to a mission. It was both of your teams that had to go and you had to travel to the Hidden Mist Village. (Isn't that Kirigakure?)
As you were about to accomplish your mission of capturing a rougue ninja, you were attacked by other enemy ninja. At the time, you were alone. No one was even within range to your scream. The first scream in 7 years. You were thrown against the tree. "Foolish girl. Did you really think that you could capture me?" After that, you blacked out.
"Kaminari! Wake up." you heard a familiar voice plead. You opened your eyes to see Shino. He was covered in your blood as he supported your upper body with his hand.
"Sh-shino-kun?" you asked, your vision still hazy.
"Yeah. It's me. You'll be ok..." he said. He was shaking slightly as if he was really worried. How bad were your injuries? You started to think about the possibilities, but shoved those thoughts from your mind when it finally hit you that Shino came and was you. You blushed lightly and started to relax.
"Thank you, Shino-kun," you said as the wind chilled the air. You shivered slightly and Shino brought you into a hug. "Sh-shino?!" you gasped.
"I l-love you, Kaminari. I really do..." he trailed off. You were surprised and you smiled. It was the first time he had ever seen you smile. Before you could speak, you both noticed a paper bomb that was ready to explode. He picked you up and got you away. The bomb went off and all of a sudden, paper bombs were everywhere. Your rougue ninja was smarter than you thought. The paper bombs started exploding all at once. You somehow put up a barrier that protected you and Shino.
"Shino," you whispered into his jacket. "I love you too..." you said before blacking out again.
You awoke a few hours later at what seemed to be a campsite. As your vision cleared, you saw that everyone was sleeping except for Shino who didn't seem to dare sleep. You smiled and got up and walked over to him. You rested your head on his shoulder. You started to drift off to sleep, but you did feel a small kiss on your forehead. You smiled again before going into a deep sleep.


Ok, it's only my second one-shot. So, was it ok? I hope so.
