Miku ended up staying over. I didn’t really want to talk about why I was crying. He’d think it was silly. He had brought pictures of Nyappy, and I looked at those. His dog was a cutie. She was the cutest puppy I’ve seen.
“Kanna-chan, are you busy today?” Miku looked at me. “No, why?” Miku grinned.
“Today, I’m taking Nyappy to a doggy park! I was wondering if you wanted to come along.” I blushed. “S-sure.” Miku grinned his widest grin yet. “Great! Nyappy will love to meet you, too!” He started bouncing up and down. I couldn’t help but smile.
When I got ready, Miku and I headed to Tokyo to get Nyappy. I stayed close by Miku’s side, afraid of getting separated by the large crowds of Tokyo. Miku held my arm, and I struggled to keep up with him.
When we got to his apartment, he opened the door, and Nyappy barked happily. When she saw me, it was a different story. She barked furiously, and Miku had to tell her to hush. Nyappy obeyed, and became calm. I held my hand out so she could sniff it. She sniffed my hand for five seconds, and then licked it. Miku smiled.
“Good! She likes you!” Miku walked inside and I followed. We took our shoes off and continued to walk in. I sat on his couch and looked around his apartment room. It was a fairly nice size. Miku grabbed a leash, and put a collar on Nyappy. He then put the leash on her, and smiled at me.
“Ready to go?” I nodded and got up. We put our shoes back on, and walked to the dog park.
Miku kept a hold of Nyappy’s leash as we walked around the trail. There were a few hills, and dirt paths to walk along. The grass was so green, and the lakes here sparkled under the sun. Nyappy was happily walking along the trail, and sniffing around. A few dogs came over and Miku held the leash tightly. I could tell he was a bit afraid of letting other dogs that were much larger than Nyappy, go near her.
I saw a lot of dogs walking around without their leash on. Some puppies were on leashes.
“Hey, Miku-kun, why don’t you let Nyappy-chan off of her leash?” I looked at him as we sat on a bench to rest. “I don’t know, Kanna-chan… Won’t other dogs hurt her?” I shook my head. “She’ll be fine. Just keep a close eye on her.” He nodded and took Nyappy’s leash off. Nyappy didn’t run off to other dogs. She stayed happily content next to her owner. Miku chuckled and petted Nyappy.
After a while, Nyappy started interacting with the dogs. Miku kept a close eye on her the whole time. While Nyappy was playing with a dog, I felt a drop of rain. Soon more drops fell from the sky, until it was pouring rain. I saw a worried expression on Miku’s face.
“Miku-kun, what’s the matter?” I asked him. “Nyappy doesn’t like-“ A crack of thunder interrupted Miku, and Nyappy yelped. She started running off and Miku instantly got up.
“Nyappy-chan! Come back!” Miku yelled out, but Nyappy kept running. He then looked at me, with a mad expression on his face.
“Kanna-chan! This is your fault! If Nyappy were still on her leash, she wouldn’t have run away!” Miku yelled out. I was startled by Miku’s harsh words. It really pained my heart. “I’ll go get Nyappy, Miku. Just stay here.” I grabbed the leash from his hand and run in the direction Nyappy ran in.

I couldn’t believe I yelled at Kanna-chan. She was such a nice girl, too. I was just upset that Nyappy ran off. I wish I had gone after Nyappy-chan instead of Kanna-chan. She could get hurt in this weather.

I looked around the fields while yelling out Nyappy’s name. Everything looked like it was underwater. I couldn’t really tell where I was going either, since I was wearing glasses. The violent rain was pounding on me, and covered my glasses. I took my glasses off, and put them in my pocket. I continued to call out Nyappy’s name.
Like a miracle of hope, I heard a bark. I started running towards the direction of the bark, but tripped and scraped my knee.
“OW!” I yelled out. I got up, and tried running again, but my knee was in too much pain. I hobbled to the source of the bark, and saw Nyappy under a bush. I went to her, put the leash on her, and picked her up. Nyappy licked my cheek, and I hobbled back to Miku.
---Miku’s Point of View---
I was extremely worried about Kanna-chan. I had saw lightening and heard thunder. This storm was so terrible. I looked around, seeing if I could see Kanna-chan anymore. It was so dark, and pouring so much rain, I couldn’t see anything but the lightening. Then, I saw a figure limping this way. I looked closely at what the figure was holding. It was a little dog. When the figure got closer, I saw whom it was.
“Kanna-chan!” I hugged her so tight, that Nyappy yelped. I kissed Nyappy’s head, and took her from Kanna-chan. I grabbed Kanna’s hand, and started walking back to my apartment, but Kanna-chan was limping. I put Nyappy on the floor, and held the leash.
“Nyappy-chan, tsuite ikimasu!” Nyappy stayed by my side, and was waiting for me to walk first. I lifted Kanna-chan onto my back, and walked back to my apartment.
///My Point of View///
Miku and I were soaking wet when we got to his apartment. He put me on his couch, and took my shoes off for me. I looked at my knee, disgusted. It was bloody, and looked bad. Miku came back over with some peroxide and band- aids. He put some peroxide on a cotton ball, and put it on my knee. I cringed, and squirmed a bit. It stung. When Miku was done, he got a wet towel, and wiped the blood off. He then put the band-aid on, and kissed my knee. I blushed.
“Daijoobu! All better!’ Miku smiled at me. “Arigatou, Miku-kun…” I bowed my head. Miku patted the top of my head and smiled. “You can stay here tonight, since it’s too dark and dangerous to go back home.” I nodded.
“Let me call my friends and tell them where I’m staying tonight.” Miku nodded and sat next to me. I dialed Chibi’s number, and she picked up at the first ring.
“Kanna, oh my god, you called! I was so worried! Where the hell were you?!” Chibi yelled into the phone. “I went to the doggy park with Miku-kun.” Chibi sighed. “You could’ve left note. We were afraid something had happen!” I chuckled lightly. “I’m alright. I’m going to stay at Miku’s for the night.” There was a long pause. Then I heard an “AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!” and a bunch of “Oooooooooo!”s in the background. I was on speaker on her phone apparently.
“Not like that!” I blushed. I heard some giggles. “Sure, sure. You two have fun!” She hung up before I could say something. I sighed, and looked at Miku.
“Well, they know where I am now.” Miku smiled. “Good!” He yawned. “Let’s go to bed, Kanna-chan!” I blushed. “I want to take a shower first… I want to feel nice and warm…” Miku nodded and got up. He came back with a towel and some clothes.
“You can use my spares tonight, Kanna-chan!” He smiled as I grabbed the towel and clothes. “Thank you…” I walked to his bedroom, and went to the bathroom. I took my shower, get out, dried off, and put on the clothes. They were nice and snug. I walked into Miku’s bedroom, and he was in a white t-shirt, and some grey pajama pants. He looked at me and smiled.
“Where’s the guest room, Miku-kun?” I asked him. Miku tilted his head. “This is the only room.” I blushed. “Then I’ll sleep on the couch…” Miku ran up to me, and grabbed my shoulders.
“You and I can share my bed! I don’t mind!” He grinned. I blushed. “U-um… Sure?” He smiled. “Yay!” Miku laid on the bed, and I soon joined him. He snuggled up to me, and I blushed madly.
“You’re warm, Kanna-chan! And so soft!” He snuggled his face into my arm. I blushed. “Th-thanks…” I closed my eyes, and fell asleep.
