Chapter 1 -The announcement

It was 2:30 on a fall afternoon when Haruhi burst into the Ouran Highschool Host Club, "Guys, I made it in!!!!" Everyone looked up from what they were doing. Mori was feeding Honey more cake, which Honey was enjoying very much. Tamaki was lecturing the twins for who knows what. And kyouya was hunched over his lap-top, probably something to do with the club's financial state. Everyone just looked at her until finally someone got up enough nerve to ask WTF she was talking about. Honey, of course, was the first to pelt Haruhi questions..."Where did you make it in? What did you make it to? Will it effect the Host Club? Do you want some cake!?!"

Everyone but Mori sweat-dropped at the last question. "I could swear I told you all about this last weekend....." Haruhi was beginning to trail off when Tamaki suddenly shouted "I THOUGHT YOU WERE KIDDING ME!!!!!??!!" Haruhi felt the explosion coming. " I'm sorry Tamaki, but now that everyone knows I'm a girl, I can't be a host! I want to be a lawyer, you know that!!!! Besides, America has a great program, and I'll be back by this time next year anyhow!" And with that she burst out of the room, headed towards (where else) the towns nearest air port. Ranka was waiting for her there. "Did you tell them?" he asked, clearly hoping they would persuade her to stay. "yea, they didn't like it, but I have to follows my dreams!!! You believe in me, don't you dad?" Ranka was caught. There was nothing he could do. "Yes, Haruhi, I believe in you. I'm gonna miss you bad though!" he shouted and tackled her. "Thanks, dad." she said as she walked onto the plane. "Oh,yea dad?" Haruhi stopped to ask. "hmnn?" Ranka muttered through the slowly disolving tears. "Will you please make sure Honey-sempai is okay while I'm gone? He will take this probably harder then Tamaki." Ranka smiled, he always liked Honey, he was innocent and sweet yet dangerous and intellegent. Adorable as could be, and Honey always liked the cakes he made. Honey had nicknamed them 'Ranka's commoner cakes'. Ranka found that amusing rather than annoying or insulting. "Sure!" Ranka shouted after Haruhi. "Thanks dad! Bye, see you next fall!" she said before dissapering into the plane. "Honey, huh???" Ranka muttered to himself as he walked away towards home. "Maybe I'll bring by a cake tomarrow morning for him..." Ranka smiled at the very thought of Honey. "Yea......"

back at the Host Club, Honey was crying for Haruhi while everyone else (except Mori, who enevitably was trying to comfort Honey with tall mounds of sweets and cute plushies) was busy trying to deal with Tamaki. "NO!!! LEMME GO!!! I WANT MY DAUGHTER NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he shouted. "My lord, Haruhi will be back y'know, she didn't leave forever!" Kaoru pointed out. "She should follow her dreams, Tamaki, she's a good girl with a lot of promise." Hikaru added. EVERYONE stopped EVERYTHING. "Whoa, Hikaru, who knew something so deep could come out of your mouth!!!" Kaoru taunted. And so began the twins' chasing each other around. This left Kyouya and Tamaki alone. *sigh* "look, Tamaki, I know you care for her. Everyone does! Hell, even I'M gonna miss her, but we should be more considerate of how she feels. Now she is probably going to feel as if we only support her desicions if they are in OUR favor." Tamkai REALLY hated to admit it, but he had a point. "Hikaru, Kaoru, get Haruhi on the line!" he commanded. After much frantic searching for the lost phone, Tamaki put it on speaker and waited for an answer. Instead he got voicemail. "probably figures we're gonna harass her about it." Kaoru whispered to Hikaru. Both nodded. "Be quiet, im gonna leave a message!" Tamaki whispered. *BEEP!* "Hey Haruhi, this is daddy and those other ppl calling to say sorry for not being there better for you. I just wanted you to know, that I support *WHACK!* I mean, we support your desicions no matter what, bye." Tamaki said, and hung up. He felt better until he looked up and saw the look on the others' faces. "uh-oh, ummmm....errrr...did I say 'I' too much?" He got his answer when the flaming Kyouya, Hikaru, Kaoru, Honey, and Mori attacked. "YES!!!!!!" they all answered in unison.
