Cold Eyes and a Warm Smile

~Sasuke's P.O.V.~
You had gotten paired up with Choji, and you weren't to happy about it. You had nothing against him personally, but you thought that he would hold you back. You didn't have to fight until the second round since there was an uneven amount of teams. The Jounin led you all to the training grounds and the first teams got ready, which were Naruto and Kiba and Shikamaru and Shino. Everyone else crowded around the side lides getting ready to watch the match. You examined all of the teams trying to come up with a strategy to beat them all. But your eyes stopped on Amaya. You sighed knowing that you would've had to fight her eventually. You closed your eyes listening to everything around you and trying to pick out the sound of the river you knew was near by. You couldn't hear it because of course Naruto had to yell in order to fight.
~Naruto's P.O.V~
YOu grinned widely while walking to the middle of the field. YOu knew that Shikamaru was lazy so he wouldn't fight back as much and Kiba knew most of Shino's attacks because they're on the same squad. You all got ready and Asuma said for you to begin. THe first thing that happened was Shikmaru jumped into the shadows and Shino sent his bugs after you. Kiba had Akamaru do man beast clone, and he himself did man beast mimickry. You made a few shadow clones and the fight was on. You pretty much went after Shino with your clones blocking his bugs so you coul get close enough to attack. All the While Kiba was going after Shikamaru. Every once in awhile you and Kiba would switch targets, just to try an dconfuse them but you forgot that you were going up against a strategist. Shikamaru had counter attacks for everything. YOu made one wrong move and Shikamaru had both you and Kiba in his shadow possesiong jutsu. Shino used his bugs to paralyze your body and just like that. THey won. When you could move again, you started to pout and yell.
You: COme on Kakashi-sensei! You know I could've won if I had someone better to fight with!!
Kiba: Oh so this is my fault now!?
You: Yeah its your fault!!
Kakashi: Naruto calm down, it was both of your faults.
You: Hmph. -_-
~Amaya's P.O.V.~
You laughed as Naruto fought with Kiba. You looked over at Hinata and saw that she looked a little upset about Naruto losing. You smiled at her reaction knowing that you would feel the same way if Sasuke lost. Speaking of him, he was fighting next. You took a deep breath preparing for your battle with Sasuke that you knew was coming.
