"Valeri... you know you could kill yourself if you keep at this.." I said to my stubborn and Emo girlfriend.

She smirked that smirk I've come to love. "Well, that is kind of the point."

I wrapped my arms around her newly cut arms, that were already painted with a crimson and purple color. She sighed against my shoulder. "Who said you could hug me?"

I laughed. "I did!"

She smirked. "Well, I didn't!"

"Oh, come on. You're my girlfriend." I frowned.

"Yes, and that could change at any moment, ya know," I loved that tone of hers.

I thought of something that could get me killed. I think It's worth it, though. I leaned down and gave her a quick kiss on the lips then ran into next week. I could still here the screams of Val. "Get back here, I'm gonna cripple you!!!!!"

I smirked, knowing that it was really worth it. Then, I heard footsteps behind me.

I felt someone push me foward and I went tumbling into the dirt, face-first. I groaned. I felt weight being pressed against my back.

"Hehe, Got you!" I could picture the smirk on her lips.

"... Well, It's not a bad thing. On my part, anyway..." I smiled.

Valeri rolled her eyes at my comment. "Ugh. Whatever..."

"What? It wasn't so bad... at all," it was my turn to smirk.

Valeri just rolled her eyes again. "Honestly, Jacob... What am I going to do with you...?"
I grinned as I walked up to her. "I could think of a few things!"
She glared at me. "Not going to happen, babe."
"Yeah, I know... But, it was worth a shot. For me, anyways," I smiled.

We both sat down underneath the tree and in silence. After about ten minutes of silence, Valeri spoke up.
"Hey... I want to show you something..." she smiled sadly.
I smiled, with her. ".. Is it something I like?"
She sighed. "I'm beginning to think that's all you ever think about..."
I laughed lightly. "Maybe. I do think about you a lot..."
"Aww, I'd be flattered but... I don't know in what ways you think of me," she half smirked, half smiled. Amazing. "Now, come on." She pulled my wrist and managed to get me on my feet. She tugged me along through a forest. I really don't think she would even notice if she ran me into a tree. I didn't know where we were going, so I just let her drag me.
After about five minutes of dragging, Val finally said, "We're here."
I looked around. "... And here would be... Where exactly?"
Val sighed. She pointed next to a tree. "Look. See it?"
I squinted. I saw some kind of broken-off platform with a broken ladder and a course rope. By the looks of the blood stains, people were killed here. Hmm. Interesting. "Oh, now that's cool..."
Valeri nodded. "Yep. I found it a couple days ago. I wonder..." Val started walking towards the broken rope. I didn't like this. As much as I liked blood and death... I don't really like the idea of my girlfriend dying. It's bad enough she cuts her wrists, already. I just know she's going through a rough time.
"Val, don't even think about it..." I warned her.
She huffed. "Why not?"
"Because... You can't hang yourself, OR kill yourself. What would I do?"
She looked thoughtful for a moment. "... Die with me..? Please?"
"But... I don't want to die--"
"Why? You'd be with me... all the time..." She took my hand.
I considered it for a minute. It actually did seem pretty good. And I definitely won't let her die alone.
".... Please?" she looked at me in the eyes.
"... Okay. I'm only doing this for you," I smiled.
She looked intently over to the rope. She sighed as she continued over. She stopped in front of the ladder and looked up. I didn't take my eyes off her for one second. She put one foot on a ladder rung and rose one each passing second. She grabbed onto the rope and pulled it to her. Valeri put her head to the sky as rain started to fall into her light blue eyes. She promptly stuck her head into the loop and tightened it. During the process, I was tempted for the last second to stop her.
Just then, one of the ladder rungs broke and Valeri screamed as the rope choked her last breath out of her lungs. I blinked and then closed my eyes. Valeri was dead, now. Just like she'd always wanted to be.
I ran over and stepped on the ladder, carefully avoiding the broken rung. I looked at Valeri's suspended body. Oooh..!-- No! I have to die, now! For Valeri.. I promised her. I loosened the rope and gently laid down Valeri's lifeless body. I twisted my head into the rope and kicked off of the ladder. I was hanging and I was choking, until everything went black and I was sure I was dead now. Good.

I heard whispers around me. I opened my eyes to see white, all around me. I closed my eyes, not wanting to believe I was in a hospital. I hate these people. When you try to commit suicide, and hope you died, you wait for the white, glowing of Heaven.... Hopefully. Then, these people have to make a hospital room white, like Heaven, but definitely not glowing. That mad me mad.
"So, you're finally awake?" a doctor to my right said.
I mumbled some swear words incoherently in response. "What were you trying to do?! Doing things like that! You could've been seriously injured.. or worse! Trying to commit suicide is a bad thing..." Blah, Blah, Blah...
I rolled over on my side, and blocked out the lecture from the paranoid and frantic doctor. Then, I just remembered. Valeri. I didn't die... I'm not with her. I promised her... I'm sorry, Valeri. Looks like I broke my promise.
