I lay here on a hard, cold floor.
I gasp for air.
My world is spinning.
My hearts beating, fast.
All I hear is screams, gasps, and cheers.
I squint my eyes.
I see three boys running to me,
Calling my name.
"Ava! Ava!"
One picks me up in his arms.
And I start to feel tears on me.
"Ava, dont leave me!"
Someone says, holding me close and tight.
All I see is darkness.
The screams begin to fade,
And I cant move.
Why cant I wake up?


Broken Fairytale Ch. 1
"Ava, wake up. Time to go to school." A familar voice says to Ava, while shaking her shoulder lightly. "I dont want to go to school." She says, pulling the covers over her head. "Ava, there is only one more day left. Just hang in there, Okay?" The voice says quietly. "Okay, but you owe me Tyler." Ava says, lifting herself out of bed, yawning.
Ava walks over to her closet, as tyler leaves the room, shutting the door behind him. She rummages through her closet on what to wear. She throws on a long sleeve green shirt, with a pair of jeans, and black converse.
Ava walks out of her room to brush her teeth. And after, she goes to straighten her hair. "Ava! Get down here now!" An angry voice yelled. She lets out a sigh as she walks down the stairs. When she gets to the bottom, she sees an angry man with a beer bottle in his hand. The man she calls, "step-father."
"Yes?" Ava says. "Do you see this?" Her Step-fater, Robert, says as he points at the big screen TV. "I dont see anything, other than your TV." Ava says, while looking at the television. "Look closer." Robert says as he outlines a crack in the TV. "Oh, I see it now." She said, while looking back at her step-father. "Did you do it?" He said, with an angry tone in his voice. "No Robert." I say quietly. "Are you lying to me Eva?" He says with a slur in his voice. "Thats not my name.." She whispers. "What?" He says, while taking another drink of his beer. "Nothing." She says quickly. "You lier." He says as he slaps Ava across the face. She puts her head down, as she cover her cheek with one of her hands. "To pay for this mark on the TV, and for you lying, you will be doing more chores around the house." He says, then walks away.
Ava runs up the stairs, and bumps into someone. "Watch where your going!" Lily, her step-sister says, while she pushed her into the wall.
Ava runs past her, and into the bathroom. She puts her hands on the counter, facing the mirror. She sees a scared, confused, and hurt girl. She just wants to run away.
"Ava?" Whats wrong?" Ava turns her head and see's her brother, Tyler, standing in the doorway. "Did he hit you again?" It was the thrid time in the past two says. He gives her a hug, and then a towel, so she can dry her tears. "Come on. We need to get to school."
Tyler and Ava each grad their backpacks and head for the door, and off the car. "Oh my gosh, are you still crying? Your such a baby." Lily, Her step-sister laughs, who was standing by the curb. Waiting for her ride to school."Leave her alone Lily." Tyler says. Ava just walks faster to the car, and sits herself into the passenger seat. Tyler puts the keys into the ignition, and starts to drive out of the driveway. But a car speeds right in front of the driveway, and makes a stop. The people in the car burst out laughing. "Get in Lily." A girl said from the car. As she gets in, another yells out the window, "Losers!" And they drove away.
School ended really quick. Ava walked over to the parking lot outside of the school, and to her brothers car. "How was school?" Tyler said as Ava got into the car. "Boring, as usual." Ava says while buckleing her seatbelt. "I gotta run to the store, wanna come with?" Tyler says. "Yeah, anything to get mem away from home."
When they got to target, they got out of the car, and headed in. "What did we come here for Tyler?" Ava asked. "Sandwich bags." He said. She gave him a confused look. "For mom." He says. "Ohh." Their mother, Linda, does and sells drugs. She uses the sandwich bags o put them in. "Can i get something?" She pleads."Yeah, but nothing expensive." Ava smiles and runs over to where the posters were. She searched through a box of posters to find the right one. "Perfect." She says as she holds up a Jonas Brothers, her favorite band.
When they got home, Tyler set the sandwich bags on the table as Ava headed up to her small room. All that was in it was a bed, a dresser, and a desk with a laptop. With all of those objects, it was kinda crowded.
She walked into her room, grabbed a roll of tape, and went to the wall where there were just a couple of posters of them. She wished she had more, but she can never aford them.
"Ew."Ava heard someone say at her door. She turned around and saw Lily stand there with degust on her face. "Why do you like them?" Lily says, as she walks halfway into her room. "Cause they are so amazing!" Ava said as she looked at her poster that was now hung on the wall. "Well do you know whatIthink of them?" Lily said, walking up to the poster. "What?" Ava says, as she tilts her head to the side. Lily stares at the poster. She tears it off the wall, and rips it into pieces. "No!" Ava yells. "Too late." Lily says, as the pieces fall to the ground. She laughed, and walked out of her room.
Ava fell to her knees. Trying to pick up the little pieces of what was left of the poster.
"Who ripped your poster?"
"Lily."
"Oh, well sont worry about that."
"What do you mean?"
"I have a bigger surprise for you tomorrow." Her brohter says with a smile.
Tomorrow was Avas birthday, and she was gonna turn 15.
"Ava! Get down here!" Her step father yelled from downstairs. "Coming!" She yelled, leaving the room, and down the stairs. "Why arent you doing your chores?" Robert said, as he lounged on the couch, drinking. "Sorry." She says softley. "Here's the list." He says, holding out a piece of paper.
"Wash the dishes
Mow the lawn
Clean the bathroom
Mop and vaccuum
Make dinner"
I let out a sigh, and did the chores. It took 4-5 hours.
When i was done, i left to go to sleep early., since i had a rough day.I walked over to my stero, played my Jonas Brothers CD softly, jumped into bed, and fell asleep.
