>>>“Actually… yes, there is something wrong…” Hinata looked him in the eyes, her eyes soft. Sasuke took a deep breath and readied himself for the tale he was about to tell... the tale about what happened to him this very night…“My… parents… kicked me out of my house… so I have no where to stay. And the academy graduation is this Monday…” Sasuke hated himself for lying to her. He HATED lying, and he just did it! “O-Oh, I’m s-sorry about t-that.” Hinata looked sadly at him, she felt bad for Sasuke. “It’s not your fault…” Sasuke looked her in the eye’s, and looked away. ‘She looks so sad… Hmph, why should I care… But… why DO I want to care..?’ Hinata thought for a moment, then said, “S-Sasuke… if y-you like you c-could stay at m-my house till your p-parents let you b-back in… b-but you have to stay u-under the b-bed so m-my dad doesn’t s-see you, ok?” Sasuke looked at her in surprise, was she REALLY letting him stay at the risk of her getting in serious trouble? ‘Come on Sasuke, take the offer!.. No, I don’t want her to get in trouble!... So you do care? I knew it!.. S-shut up conscience!’ Sasuke replied, “S-Sure… but only until I am done healing… if that’s ok…” Hinata smiled, “Of course! I’m always glad to help someone threw hard times!” Sasuke just grinned, then him and Hinata heard a noise at the door. “Quick, under the bed Sasuke!” Hinata helped him get under the bed, and luckily under there it wasn’t cramped with stuff so he fit just fine. The door opened, and a man started to talk, “Good night, Hinata” Hinata replied very sweetly, “G-Good night, Father. Sweet d-dreams” The father just closed the door as his response. Once the fathers footsteps where unheard and the lights were off, Hinata got up quietly and gave Sasuke a pillow and blanket. Once Sasuke got comfortable, he whispered to Hinata from under the bed, “Hinata, your father’s a jerk.” Hinata whispered back, “I-It’s alright… t-that’s just how he acts towards me. He’s a lot nicer to Neji and my sister…” “Why? What makes him think he can treat you lesser then everyone else?” Hinata just sighed, “I don’t know. I think he thinks I’m to nice to be a ninja, or to weak… probably both.” “Hinata… he shouldn’t think of you that way! Or treat you that way!” Hinata just shrugged, “Oh, well. I’ll prove to h-him one day I can be respected just like Neji and my little sister. Well, g-good night Sasuke.” “Ya… good night…” Hinata soon fell asleep, but Sasuke was still up and awake. He was STILL trying to decide what was so different about Hinata from all the other girls that he liked. ‘Why is she so kind? And it’s not the “let me be nice to you because your hot!” kinda nice that he always got from his fangirls. She didn’t even like him that way! Wait, what if she DID like him that way?’ Sasuke felt something under his back, so he took it out. It was a picture… but of what? He couldn’t see the image in pitch darkness, so he shoved it in his pocket, and decided he would see it in the morning. Sasuke soon started to dose off from his cold, and eventually fell into a deep, dreamless sleep…< <<

>>>Morning< <<

>>>Sasuke woke to the aroma of White rice filling the room. He noticed he didn’t feel like coughing anymore, his cold must’ve worn off. Hinata’s bent down to see Sasuke awake, looking a lot better. “Good morning, Sasuke! D-Do you feel better?” Sasuke just nodded, “Yes, much better.” “Good. H-Here’s some breakfast. I m-made it for you” She handed him a bowl of white rice. Sasuke took the bowl of rice from her, with the chopsticks she handed him. “T-Thanks, Hinata… that’s very nice of you” Sasuke started to eat, it felt like he hadn’t eaten in days! Hinata just blushed at his complement, “t-thanks. Its n-nice of you t-to notice” Sasuke paused threw his eating, ‘wait. It WAS nice of me to complement her! Since when was I “nice” to a girl?! Oh well’ Sasuke just kept on eating, he didn’t really mind anymore around HER for some reason. Hinata sat on the floor, eating a bowl of rice beside the bed.< <<

>>>After they where done eating, Sasuke just stayed under the bed for the rest of the day till it soon became nighttime. Alright, so it’s night now.< <<

>>> Everyone was asleep, except for Sasuke. Sasuke set the note by Hinata’s bedside. It was the note he had been writing all day, with a piece of paper and a pencil he had found under the bed. The note said,

‘Hinata,

Thanks for all your help. I don’t want to trouble you any more, plus I feel a lot better thanks to you. So thanks again, and I hope I can return the favor one day. And don’t worry about me, my parent’s are definitely gonna let me in.

‘I really hope that’s enough to thank her for all she did for me’ Sasuke decided to just leave it the way it was, and he escaped her room threw the window. Sasuke took one last look at her before he left though, he didn’t know why, but he just… did it. Sasuke soon made it to the Uchiha residence, the memories sticked to his head like knifes. Sasuke walked slowly to his old house, seeing his parent’s blood spots he quickly ran to his room and locked the door. Sasuke cried himself to sleep this time. Once Sasuke woke up he went to the dock, his hair covering his eyes. He had his hands in his pocket… wait, there was something in his pocket. He took out from his pocket a picture… oh ya! The picture from under the bed! It was a regular picture of Naruto, except with a big outline of a heart around his head. He looked on the back and in small letters it said, ‘Naruto and Hinata forever’ He frowned and crumbled it up, throwing it in the water. ‘What’s so special about Naruto? He doesn’t deserve Hinata… Oh, so you’re jealous now? NO I’M NOT! I just don’t think she deserves him. Well then whom does she deserve? I don’t know!!! Right…’ Him and his stupid split personality! It was driving him insane! Sasuke stared at the crumbled up picture of Naruto, and it formed into the image of his brother! The image started talking to him, “Sasuke… there is no reason for you to live.” “Yes, there IS Itachi! And it’s to KILL YOU!!!” “And what if you can’t kill me?” “I CAN!!!” “Useless, Sasuke… You will never kill ME” Sasuke jumped into the water, trying to strangle his imagination. Itachi pulled him deeper under the water, Sasuke tried to escape, but he just kept pulling him in further. ‘Maybe… there IS no reason for me… to be alive… I can’t even escape his grasp!’ Sasuke gave in, and let his brother take him to the bottom. Sasuke blacked out for the second time.< <<

>>>Sasuke felt air running threw his lungs… and water. He coughed out the water and rubbed his eyes till the world came solid again. It was Hinata again. “Hinata! Were you here the WHOLE time?” “N-No, Sasuke! I just saw you jump into the water a-and I j-just panicked a-and… I u-used CPR” Sasuke sighed, “Thanks, again Hinata for saving me” Hinata just smiled, “Y-Your very w-welcome Sasuke… Oh! And the graduation is about to b-begin, we should hurry quickly! Is your parents going to take you t-their?” “No… they’re not coming to my graduation.” Hinata smiled, “My parent’s aren’t c-coming either!” Sasuke blushed a little, “H-Hinata… could I walk to the Academy Graduation… with you?” “O-Of course Sasuke! I d-don’t mind.” Hinata helped him up, and she started to run towards the academy. “C-Come on Sasuke! Or we are g-going to be late!” Sasuke watched as she was running, and he smirked and started to run towards her, “Hey! Wait up!” Hinata and him walked into the academy doors, and Hinata smiled to him sweetly, “W-We made it just in time!” Sasuke grinned back, and replied, “Ya. I guess we did.” As Hinata waved bye to him and he waved back, he thought, ‘Maybe… there IS something to live for…’ as he watched her run off with the other graduates, he followed.< <<
