In the house of the Masamune...
Kasumi stared at Hibiki through the corner of her eye as he was ready to go on a mission.
"What level?" Asked Kasumi as she stared oddly at a cup of coffee and threw it into the trash can without hesitation.
"Luckily for me it's a level two mission. Which means I will get to fight a lot and they better be in store for my Shiraha!" Hibiki grinned.
Kasumi kept the same expression on her face and then resumed sitting on the couch and listened some more to her iPod.
"What would you be listening to, Kasu-chan?" Asked Hibiki as he threw his hood on.
"Linkin Park. They seem to be one of the most popular in the United States and I think I am taking quite a liking to them as of now. Number one on my list... oh, and by the way, I'm coming with you! I need to talk to Aoi-san anyways, so it would all be for the best." Kasumi said as she turned off her music and gazed at the ceiling. "Is that a bug?"
"If you are coming, then come. I don't have all day." Growled Hibiki. He opened the door and the two darted out to reach their designation, VIUS HQ.
Aoi greeted them as soon as they walked in. "Hello you two! How are you guys? Here for a mission?" She asked.
"Ne, Aoi-san... Hibiki is here for a mission, I am here because there are some important matters we need to discuss." Replied Kasumi.
"Serious as usual! Why can you not just cheer up? You guys are so cute!" Aoi said cheerfully as she pranced around.
"Er... Aoi-san... we aren't exactly the happiest people as you are. Fighting is our hobby, and as for you, well, you have too many!" Hibiki said out of nowhere.
"Huh? Me? You always flatter me, Masamune! Anyways, Reiaba... Kasumi! What is it you need to discuss with me?" Aoi asked.
"I hate that word. Hmph! Flatter..." Hibiki snarled as he stomped through the halls. Kasumi just smirked and then followed Aoi into the squad six ready room.
"Alright, I will spill it, but you are not really going to like it that much." Kasumi said with her arm behind her head scratching it and then continued on, "I was walking through an alley way when I heard someone mention something about a smuggling going on. I am not sure exactly what they were saying, but seeming I have one of the best pairs of ears in the VIUS, I heard a bit more from a distance. There was a big guy who was about your height and had stupid narrow eyes as the other one was this worthless piece of trash-looking man. He was skinny and not muscular at all, but he did have a gun on him. The reason I didn't report this was because I was half dead and had no idea where I even was. All I can say is that they said it was something dangerous, big, and contained a virus. Now in my opinion, I am thinking it is a dracule, but I would not follow my assumptions." Explained Kasumi.
Aoi looked nervous and then looked around and back to Kasumi. "Alright, I think it would be a dracule. This is serious, you might have to talk to the superiors. Did you hear where the smuggling was going to take place?" Asked Aoi.
"I think so. Up by the doc... the one by the weaponary shop. Some time today around 2:40 PM." Answered Kasumi. Her legs began to hurt, so she sat down as her stomach growled. "Got anything decent to eat around here?"
"Yes, Kasumi. Now stop complaining, I'll find it somehwere." Replied Aoi, and then threw her a chicken sandwhich.
"CHICKEN! MY FAVORITE!" Grinned Kasumi and then finished it before Aoi even had the chance to turn around.
"Where is the sandwhich?"
"In my stomach where it should be. Anyways, I better get going sama. See you around! That was all I had to say." Replied Kasumi and then threw her sash on and hurried out the door and ran right into Kajiyama. "Oh, sorry, Kajiyama. I didn't see you there really..."
"No, it's fine! I'm sorry, Kasumi-chan! Hey, wanna see my new invention?" Kajiyama asked with a smile as usual.
"You seriously have too much energy and too much free time, but sure." Sighed Kasumi.
Kajiyama went through his bag and pulled out what one could only assume was a robot. "TAH-DAH! It looks like a robot, because it is one! It may be very tiny, but it is actually quite helpful. More helpful to man kind alone than two people put together!" Yelled Kajiyama.
Kasumi covered her ears and then said, "How can that dinky piece of crap possibly be better than two humans? I never understand your kind..."
"Well you can command it to do anything, or say any place and it will listen and go there! Just press this button and-" In the middle of Kajiyama talking, Kasumi took his invention and ran off. Kajiyama frowned and said under his breath, "Why do the Masamune's always take my inventions?"
Kasumi ran to Aoi again and placed the invention in her hand. "Here! Kajiyama made it! He said you can say a place or tell it to do anything and it will lead you there or do whatever you tell it to! I was thinking he could help to catch the people smuggling! Hold on... is it just me or are people always smuggling in Mikuni City?"
"Hmm... good point, I'm with you on that one. As for this invention, we will have to owe Kajiyama one later, as for now, you are coming with me, Reiaba." Aoi said and then grabbed Kasumi by the wrist and dragged her off.
After a long talk with the higher-ups, they were able to catch the smugglers and on time too, because the container held a dracule in the center of it, and if it wasn't for Kajiyama's invention, the level one dracule would have gotten away.
Hibiki got back from his mission and found Kasumi lingering in the halls. "Hey! Kasumi-chan! What is all the commotion and celebrations about here?" Asked Hibiki.
"Oh, nothing. We were just throwing a huge party because you left." Said Kasumi who was now blushing.
"Gee, that warmed my heart. Now really, what is the commotion?" Asked Hibiki.
"Well, I did a good deed in a way. Let's just say Kajiyama's stupid inventions saved the day for once!" Winked Kasumi and then smiled and skipped off.
Hibiki sat there puzzled, and then walked home with her. The two were so tired that they passed out right away, but Kasumi was happy for once that she actually told someone something before things got bad!
