sorry for the wait!!!

My eyes were reluctant to be prized open, and when I did the light struggling through the blinds hit me like a bucket of cold water. I attempted to sit up and found myself, although pregnant, moving with more agility.
My limbs felt revitalized, and I moved with more grace. I found myself alone in the room I had currently been staying. I reached down and touched my stomach to reassure myself that my baby was still there, I let out a breath of relief as my rather large mound rested beneath my fingertips. I tugged the covers back and firmly placed my feet on the cool floorboards, making my way swiftly and elegantly towards the bathroom.

The mirror revealed a woman I hardly recognized; for starters my features were very much matured. My cheekbones were contorted and higher than before, it was considered the perfect bone structure, and my coffee colored freckles were gone. My once light blue eyes were now a shade darker; my hair maintained the same corn-coloured shade but had more of a shine and a bounce to it. The biggest difference was the two canines that were lightly digging into the insides of my cheek, I was officially a vampire.

“Scarlet?!” I heard someone call.

I sighed and made my way out of the bathroom, to be greeted by a shocked Levon.

“You’re awake,” he gasped.

“Well done captain obvious,” I drawled in a husky tone that I hardly recognized as my voice.

“You must feed immediately!” He gushed.

I frowned and cocked my head to the side, “why the urgency?”

‘If you do not feed soon you will go into a blood-frenzy where you go around sucking the life out of everyone with a beating heart.”

I cringed, and he hastily exited the room.

After a while I began to feel that achy feeling in my stomach, and emptiness that no normal food would be able to fill. To be honest I never really noticed that when Levon and I went out to eat he had nothing but a glass of water. Just then Levon came back into the room with a glass of red liquid.

“Here, drink this,” he handed me the glass.

I looked down at it feeling quite faint from the intoxicating smell, tantalizing my senses, but a bit of human conscience came rushing back to me, if I drank this blood I’d be nor more than what Levon was. A monster.
