{Train Heartnet/Reader}Vengeance{Black Cat}~Ch. 1 Shortcut

"Hey! Get back here!" You were running down a dark alley at night, your left arm bloody. Five men were chasing you, and all had knives, which you'd had the displeasure of finding out the hard way.
You hid behind a dumpster and watched as the men skidded to a stop. "Where'd she go?" "I dunno, you were in the lead!" "No I wasn't!" "Yeah, you was! 'Cuz I sure wasn't!" You jumped the two men closest to you, cracking their heads together. "G'night!" You said with a smirk. "Ahh! There she is!" "So get her, dummy!" You sidestepped the first man and kicked the second in the groin. "Oooooooowwww!!!" he wailed, collapsing. The man next to him dropped his knife and ran. "That's right, run from a girl! You dirty little good-for-nothin'-" You were cut short as the man behind you clobbered you in the head. You were slammed to the ground and had a knive to your throat.
"Heh heh. This is what you get for hurting the Boss... Shame you have such a pretty face." You instinctively shut your eyes as he swung the knife towards you.
"What the?! Who're you?!" you heard the man cry as he was thrown off you. "Sven Vollfied, sweeper. And that's no way to treat a lady!" Looking up you saw a man with green hair in a white suit and matching hat carrying a silver briefcase. He had an eyepatch over his right eye, and was smoking. As you watched, another person person leaped from the nearest rooftop, landing on top of your pursuer and knocking him out. "That was too easy!" The person laughed, as he walked towards Sven. He looked to be a little older than you.He had messy, spikey brown hair, and even from a slight difference away you could see he was very good-looking. "Only because they were stupid... like you." A soft voice replied. A small girl, about 11 or 12 stepped out from behind the man called Sven. She was pretty, with long blonde hair and wearing a deep navy blue dress.
"Ugh..." You groaned as you pulled yourself to your feet. You leaned on the alley wall breathing heavily. Your condo was on the other side of town, and you were dizzy and ready to pass out. It was going to be one long walk home. "Excuse me miss, but are you all right?" Sven was walking towards you, looking concerned. "Yeah, thanks for your help. I'll be perfectly fine." You said gritting your teeth in frustration. Here come the awkward questions... "What were doing in an alley at night, anyways?" asked the one around your age. "Taking a shortcut home." you lied. "Well, where do youlive? The least we can do is walk you home." said Sven. "In Fairview Condominiums." You said, then mentally smacked yourself. You were telling the truth, but unfortunately for you..."Fairview Condos are downtown. This is an uptown alley." The girl said, narrowing her eyes and cocking her head to the side thoughtfully. "Are you lost?" "Uh, no... I was just...um...walking, and you see I did get lost, but then realized where I was so I..." You stopped talking, feeling even dizzier. You slid down the alley wall until you were sitting. Great. Just great, I'm gonna pass out... was the last thing you thought as the alley spun and blurred, then finally turned black.

~Eve's P.O.V.~
You watched the girl pass out, and turned to Sven. "Now what? We can't just leave her here... should we take her with us?" Sven thought for a moment blowing smoke rings. "Yeah, we'll have to do that. Even if we did take her to Fairview, people might be a bit suspicious since she's bleeding and unconcious (sp?). Train, can you carry my briefcase?" he said as he walked towards the girl and scooped her up bridal style."Why do I hafta carry it?" Train griped. "Stop whining, unless you want to carry her. She isn't very heavy, though." "I'll carry your briefcase, Sven." you piped up. "Naw, make Train do it." Sven said cheerfully as he started down the alley. "Fine, I'll be nice and carry it... Svenny-baby!" Train said sticking out his tongue. "I AM NOT YOUR SVENNY-BABY!!! I'M YOUR PARTNER!!!" You quietly walked behind them as they bickered all the way back to the hideout. "The fun never ends..."you said under your breath.
