(OH! and I'm changing your age on you. Found out that right now, Shuichi's really 15- so you can be 15 too.... wow.... you guys have had under-aged sex.... you're going to hell now... ^_^ cya there! But technically- you both are a bit older... your personalities, cha know?) Kurama stood up and smiled warily down at you, "I must go now- mustn't let Yomi think he has that good of a grip on me." You nodded, "But what's going to happen?" He sighed, "I'm going to see if I can make it so Yomi will allow me to return to the human world and take care of some things." "But he threatened to kill Shiori... So why would he let you go? He obviously doesn't care." He smiled- there was a strange kindle in his eyes, which you had quickly learned that it meant that he had a plan and he knew that it'd work (or at least and incredibly great chance of working). "_____, do you miss Jin and the others?" You smiled, "Of course! It's been quite a while. Why?" He smiled, "Now you have something to think about while I'm gone- so no exploring." You nodded- Kurama's eyes flashed gold at that part, so apparently if you disobeyed, you'd be in serious trouble. Then you grinned, 'but I like trouble' ... After waiting a small while, you opened the door and peeked around, then turned into your small wolf form (after closing the door), and stealthily bolt after Kurama's scent. You found him (it was close to nighttime now) and it looked like he was waiting as he stood there staring out the large window (you were happy that there were a lot of pillars here- it made it much easier to hide), your ears twitched as Yomi walked up beside Kurama. Yomi smiled pleasantly, "For your sake, I'm hoping you are thinking during that silence." "I have devised a plan to make you stronger, Yomi." "Oh?" "There are six powerful demons that I encountered in a previous tournament. I'd like time to go recruit and train them for you." Your eyes widened, 'that's what he meant about Jin n' friends!' "On the surface it seems you have acquired the ability to make friends now." Kurama continued to watch Yomi intently as he continued, "But they're just tools to further your goals.-" You glared 'Sure as hell better not be! or we're gonna have one SERIOUS talk!' "-You don't care about them." You suppressed a growl as Kurama remained silent and continued to stare intently, Yomi continued, "Your care for your family is tougher- what did they give you?" Then he laughed. Kurama turned a little more towards Yomi, "Allow me to return home to attend to family affairs and in exchange I will bring you these fighters. I'm sure you'll be watching me anyway." And Kurama turned his attention back to whatever was behind the window. Yomi was still smiling, "Of course. I have to protect my... 'investment'." Kurama nodded his head and turned to leave- then your eyes widened, 'crap!' You quickly bolt down the halls, having to hide and run away from Kurama was extremely hard- as soon as you bolt further ahead of him, you felt his demon energy rise. He knew something wasn't quite right and his walking pace just barely quickened. You made it to the room and quickly and quietly opened and closed the door and you skidded underneath the bed. Just 16 seconds later, Kurama walked in. He looked around, "_____?" You gulped and sighed and peeked out from under the bed. He stared at you confused and a little worried, "What are you doing?" You sighed, "I wasn't sure if it was you. You've had a couple visitors..." He frowned, "I see. And they saw you?" You smiled, "Nope-" Then you curled up into a little ball and hid behind your own tail glancing back and forth, "I be part ninja!" He smiled and chuckled quietly and lifted you up and sat you on the bed. You turned back into your human form, "So, how'd it go?" "Very well, actually. So- did you get any ideas on the 'Jin and friends' subject?" You frowned, "You're gonna send me back and have them baby-sit me?" He smiled, "No- but that was a good idea. I'll keep that in mind for the future." You groaned and he chuckled quietly- you could do nothing but fall over slightly and lean on his shoulder. He slid his arm around your waist. "Yomi's allowing me to go back to the human world, because we can't have mother on a year long honey-moon- and in return, I'd have Jin, Touya, Rinku, Chu, and two other people you haven't met yet work and fight for him." You nodded slowly, "But... what if he's not happy with them?" "He will be- during the time of us being back home, we will be training them." You grinned- happy that he was including you and that you'd get to see some friends and make more, "Sounds fun! But- how long do we have?" "Six months." "Wow." He smiled, "That's actually a very short time to some people." You nodded, "Alright- so when do we get back, though?" "In a few weeks." You nodded and stretched- then froze, "Crap..." Kurama looked at you curiously. "...I'm going to have to stay with you during those weeks, aren't I?" He nodded and you frowned. "What am I gonna do when it's time to eat?" "I can bring you food." You rolled your eyes at him, "That'd be a bit noticeable, wouldn't it? I mean- everyone's watching your every move- I'm sure." You almost gave yourself away right there. He sighed and nodded, "Yes..." Then you grinned, "I know- I'll just follow you!" "No." You rolled your eyes, "Shui-... Kurama," This gained a whole lot more of his attention, "There are pillars every where, and I'm sure there are people out there now plotting something against you. So- if they saw me, why would anyone believe, or even care about it? I mean... it sounds kinda funny 'Kurama, Yomi's right hand man, is sneaking a tiny wolf around'.... Not only does that sound stupid and corny-" He smiled, "- but it sounds ridiculous. No one would believe or care about it. I could follow you- and that'd give me something to do and it'd be easier to eat. That and I'd get easier access to the bathroom." He laughed and shook his head slightly, "Alright- alright." You beamed, "Really?!" He nodded with a smile, "Yes- because if I said no, you wouldn't let me sleep."
~FF 3 weeks: Back in human world~
You frowned as you glanced up at the board. You had learned to read a little bit of Japanese- and memorized Shuichi's name. He wasn't in first this time- he was in second- the person in third almost beat him. You waited patiently- Shuichi was talking with one of his friends, then he walked out to meet you. You sighed, "Stressing much?" Shuichi smiled, "A little, but I'm afraid I also don't have too much time to study." You smiled, "Well- in a way, it's like a new schedule. You'll get used to it in a few weeks." He smiled and nodded and you stretched, "So, when are we gonna see the boys?" "Tomorrow, after school. They have a lot of training to go through." The rest of the day was boring- but you forced yourself to listen to every word of the teacher, you didn't want to fall behind too much. You had to kick Shuichi in the foot (gently) a couple of times because he'd start looking out the window in thought. You and Shuichi were heading towards home now and you sighed, "Ya gotta stop spacing off to the other world, Shuichi." He sighed, "I know- but there's just so much to do." You stopped and held him by the shoulders and go into your serious/scolding mode. "Let's put it this way. As soon as you're on school grounds, you're not Kurama, Youko, or Kurama pretending to be human and going by the name Shuichi. As soon as you step into that school- along with our home over here, you're Shuichi Minamino, no more, no less. If you have to, pay attention to every detail to keep your mind from wandering, kay? I mean, you just missed 7 problems out of 50 and the entire school noticed- so ya can't really mess up. Kay?" He smiled and nodded, "Understood." You nodded, then let a smile spread across your face and you headed back to the house. "Well _____, I never knew you could be serious." "I have my moments." That night, you finished dinner before everyone else and told them you just wanted to go outside for a small while. You walked around the castle-like hotel and into the forest a little. Not long after, Shuichi came over and wrapped his arms around you and you leaned into him. You looked up to see his expression troubled and you lightly kissed his chin, "What's wrong, hun?" He sighed, "For years I have lived two lives. Shuichi Minamino, a normal human teenager. And Kurama, a fighter- fighting to protect what is good. But in recent time, my third identity has emerged. Youko, the bandit of my dark past..." Then Shuichi faded and appeared Youko, looking just as serious- but not as troubled. Shuichi's voice passed through Youko's lips, "A figure who survives on blood thirst and instinct. I cannot juggle them all... But I do not know which one to lose..." Youko's ears twitched and you both glanced behind. Just then you heard Kotak, "Hey, Shuichi? _____? Where did you go?" You both quickly and quietly made your way back to the hotel and Youko faded back into Shuichi. You both made it just before Kotak was about to walk into the forest. Shuichi stepped forward, "Kakoda, don't stray too far." (I found out that Kakoda is Kotak's real name. So let's just say that Kotak is a nickname). Kotak turned around, "Oh, hey there you are." He smiled and walked back towards you two, "You left. Is there something wrong?" You both smiled a little and Shuichi shook his head, "No, we were just staring at the moon." Shuichi put a hand on Kakoda's back and his other arm slid around your waist while yours slid around his and you all walked back to the hotel. Kakoda really looked up to Shuichi... hopefully it won't come and bite him in the ass later.
~Next Day~
Back in school- you were waiting for Shuichi again, and when he came out he gave you an intense look and you casually followed him out of the school. "Kakoda called." "Something wrong?" "We're about to find out." Kakoda should be in school right now..... something must be up. You both made it to the house and Kakoda walked out, smiling cheerfully and he waved, "Hey bro, thanks for meeting me. Oh, and your girlfriend came too?" You both tensed as you walked over to him. Yup- something weird was about to happen. Kakoda laughed, "Aw, why so serious? I figured you'd be happy to see me." Shuichi didn't look at him, "Not only should you be in school right now. You've never called me 'bro' before." Kakoda smiled at you, "Was he grumpy all day?" You shook your head and frowned, "No. And Kakoda- there was something you told me this morning. You wanted me to get you something, I kinda forgot what it was. Could ya refresh my memory?" Kakoda's jaw tightened a little and he shrugged, "Naw it's okay, I'll get it myself." You weren't sure, now, if this truly was Kakoda... he didn't ask you to get you anything this morning- and Shuichi knew this too. Kakoda smiled back at Shuichi, "Aw relax you two, let's go somewhere private, where we can talk- trade some advice. After all, that is your specialty." You tensed and you telepathed Shuichi as you followed 'Kakoda' back to the house ::I don't like this.... What do you think is going on? Is this a demon pretending to be Kotak?:: ::No- we both would have sensed it... I think someone is possessing him- someone working for Yomi. We will find out soon enough:: You both went into Shuichi's room and Kakoda sat down on the bed. You leaned against the wall so it'd be easier to observe both Kakoda and Kurama- and Kurama stood in front of Kakoda- 6 feet away. Kakoda smiled, "Your friend Hiei keeps getting stronger, Mokuro has officially made him second in command." "I was aware." You inwardly pouted- Shuichi didn't tell you anything about Hiei or Yusuke... Kakoda continued, "Urimeshi has been training like a dog too, he'll most likely take over once Raizen dies," You and Shuichi tensed as he pulled out a cigarette as he continued to talk, "Now do you really want to fight your friends?" You quickly slapped the cigarrett out of his hand and Shuichi caught it and glared, "Say what you will, but we won't let you spoil this boys lungs. Now come, we want to see who we're talking to." You grimaced as some strange, greenish-gray wax oozed out of Kakoda's ears. A head formed- it looked like a stringy, talking booger with yellow eyes. It smiled a nasty grin as it spoke with a nasally voice, "Now before you start getting violent- know the nature of my power. As long as I stay connected to my host's body- if I die, so do they." You, still grimacing glanced at Kurama- who seemed just as disgusted, and even more pissed. "Kurama, what's that?" "A parasite demon. Did Yomi put you up to this cowardly act? Is this his way of watching me so I'll be certain to fulfill my duties?" He laughed, "Actually, it's Chief Satchi who I'm working for-" You remembered him- he was bigger than Chu, small yellow eyes, scaley... He was Yomi's second in command. "-He was making sure that you stay home and never come back." You went back to the wall and smirked- the parasite demon glanced at you nervously and you watched eagerly. You always wanted to see Kurama be his true self when irritated, now was your time. Kurama took a menacing step forward and glared, "And you think you have control over me? Since as you said, if I kill you my brother dies-" Just then Shuichi's eyes changed and his hair began to turn white, your heart beat faster with excitement as you recognized Youko immediately. "-But I have methods to make your life so meaningless that you'll crawl out of there on your own. And then beg me for your death." You could see beads of sweat appearing on the parasite's forehead, "Okay, yes, I believe you- now don't do anything rash!-" Youko went back inside and Kurama continued to listen to the parasite. "Y'know what- forget Satchi! Let's face it, I'm a parasite, jumping from one back to another is what I do. Truth is I like playing on two sides, Yomi sent me here because he wants to know about those six fighters." Kurama stepped closer- so he was just two inches away from the parasite. At this position- the parasite not only looked more vulnerable- he felt it, he had to look strait up to Kurama. Kurama continued to glare, "Yes, it's all in the works. And though I don't exactly trust Yomi, I'll bring them to his side." "Oooh, is that wise?" Kurama looked down at him and his glare hardened, the parasite flinched and gasped- the beads of sweat falling down the side of his face, "Not that I'm calling you unwise! Yes- let's hook up, do you need intelligence? Protection?" "You're lucky demon. I do have a use for you." Kurama was going to have the parasite give Satchi false information so he'd think he's still in control- that way the parasite could stay in Kakoda to survive (but not control), and thus Kurama would let him live. That and you found out that his name was Worm. Worm smiled and nodded- then grinned pervertedly at you and you frowned, "And what about your girlfriend there? Does she need any-" Kurama's eyes flashed gold and he glared down at Worm- who shut up immediately, "If you so much as look at her..." "Yes, yes- I understand, forgive me!" And he quickly crawled back into Kakoda's head.
Today was Friday, and you had Kakoda/Worm go back to school and you both headed there yourself. As soon as school was out- you and Kurama headed over to Genkai's. Shuichi had been glancing at you concerned all day. As you both walked up the steps you sighed as he glanced at you again, "Okay- what's wrong." "Nothing, I'm just sorry you had to see that is all." You laughed quietly and shook your head, "Don't be. I actually really liked seeing you work. That and it'd be a good thing to get used to your personality changes if I'm going to be sticking with you through all this." He smiled and nodded. You were happy that he understood now, and that you understood too- it lightened the mood quickly and you both held hands as you went and found Genkai. You grinned, "Hi Genkai! How are you?" She smiled, "Quite well. So, what brings you two up here?" Kurama was back into serious mode now, "Can we see the guys, we need them." "Sure, they're here." "Has the training been going well?" "Yes, but I don't think it's enough. Hell, I doubt Yusuke's strength is enough." You smiled and waved at Koenma who had popped out of nowhere and he smiled and waved at you, "Yo." Kurama looked over a little surprised, "Koenma, you-" "Back in my robes, yeah. My dad decided that this demon world business was more importance that his grudge against me. Sometimes I think he planned it all- that even my disobedience was part of it." You glanced at Kurama ::What?:: ::I'll explain soon:: Your arms were casually linked and you both began to walk up the steps and Koenma continued, "So what's your plan? This could turn into a war, y'know." Kurama turned sharply, "If what your asking is why I'm involved it is because I want to make sure that the result isn't bad for human world." "I believe that is part of it, but I doubt you plan to come out as Demon World's new king. And I know the thread in your family- but you could get around that." "There's more." "When Raizen dies the power balance will be out of control and the outcome would be crucial. Kurama, I need you to tell me that your motivation is not personal." "I can't do that." And he continued to walk up the stairs with you. "Ask Hiei and Yusuke if it's personal." "I don't have to. I know you are all fighting for a reason. But the stakes are too high for that. If Mokuro takes over we'll have more chaos than ever before." Kurama put his hand on the door, "And if it's Yomi, there could be a unity- which is also just as dangerous." And he opened it- it was completely dark inside. "But how it's resolved will effect all three worlds for centuries, when you're making your decisions, just keep that in mind." And the large gold door shut behind you two. As you both walked into the cave you sighed, "Wow, now that's a message that screams 'no pressure'." Kurama smiled and gently squeezed your arm and you continued forward. Then, up ahead, there was a drop off and the cave was a bit lighter. You both released each other and Kurama jumped down from the small cliff and faced six figures- four of which were familiar. Chu smiled, "'Bout time, piker." You had forgotten how Australian his voice sounded. Kurama smiled, "Chu, in high spirits, as always." Chu laughed loudly, "Very funny, mate. Why don't you take a good hard look at these muscles I've been workin' on." After they all made their own comments- you were eyeing the two new faces. One was tall and blond, fairly attractive- an on his shoulder was a tiny imp that had purple hair, which you found out that his name was Shishi. You jumped down and waved, "Hey guys." Jin was over there in a flash and he scooped you up, "Hey there lass! Di'in realize y'were here! S'good to cya!" You giggled and hugged him around the neck and he smiled his huge one fanged grin while his ears twitched- he knew you loved it when he did that. You'd forgotten how cute he was. He set you down and you greeted Touya with a hug, Rinku with your 'secret' hand shake, and Chu gave you one of his bone-crushing hugs. You turned around and smiled at the two different people. The blond one smiled, "Hello, I am the beautiful Sazuka." You smiled and shook his hand, "A pleasure to meet you." You felt a light weight settle on your shoulder and you smiled to see the tiny imp who winked at you, "And I'm Shishi." You nodded, "I'm looking forward to getting to know you two." Shishi floated back over to Sazuka's shoulder and you stood by Kurama again. He made a tiny speech, the dudes cheered, and then began to train as Kurama watched intently. You both walked off to the side and he laid down. You plopped yourself on top of him and sighed, "So we've got six months." "I fear that won't be enough." You smiled and brushed some hair out of his face, "They'll do great, Shuichi. I can't quite explain it, but I think that in the end- there will be a good leader for Demon World." He nodded, "I hope so." You lay down on top of him and frowned, "Try and lighten up a lil' hun. I think it'll make everyone feel a bit better." He smiled softly and ran his fingers through your hair and you sighed with content and allowed your ears and tail to pop out. You curled into him as much as possible and nuzzled his neck and purred in his ear- you could feel his smile strengthen and he kissed your neck. "But, if you are to be coming with me again. I want you to train as well." And he sat you up and took your hand and you groaned softly as he pulled you over beside the rest of the guys and got into fighting stance.
